It is now universally agreed that fossil fuel is one of the main causes for global environmental pollution. Experts and governments are working to find alternative energy resources for decades with eco-friendliness as action slogan. Eco-friendly alternative energy can be generated by solar power, hydroelectric power, wave and wind. But there is a completely new way to generate eco-friendly energy.

Doowon

Doowon is a South Korean company that has 40 years of expertise in eco-friendly air conditioning and heating systems. The company wowed the industry by introducing eco-friendly safety rail and production method in 2012 followed by electricity generation system by using the weight of subway train in 2016. The latter especially is well received for an effective eco-friendly way of generating electricity among industry specialists.

Saving fluid pressure as energy

The ‘electricity generation system by using the weight of subway train’ is very innovative as it creates a large output of power while a subway train is moving. Kinetic energy of the fluid turns into pressure energy and the energy is saved through collector. The fluid is formed in the fluid cylinder in the device. The system consists of weight pressure collector, fluid pressure saver, fluid pressure actuator and pressure motor accelerator gear. Kijang Jeong, CEO of Doowon, points out that the system can generate electricity more steadily and continuously when compared to solar, wave and wind power generators.

Key advantages of the system

  1. No fossil fuel needed
  2. More economy than nuclear, wind, wave and solar power
  3. Can be controlled by smart grid ICT
  4. No greenhouse gas
  5. No transmission tower
  6. Contributes to reducing air pollution

“Also, it is carbon dioxide free and it can create new industry and new jobs and it will contribute to both regional and national economies. So I hope the government would widen its view and open for many possibilities for alternative energy resources. And I believe our eco-friendly system will share a considerable role if it is commercialized” says Jeong.
