Launched last summer, the premium baby food brand ‘Dodammeal’ attracted attention from visitors at the 25th Busan Dream Baby Fair. It is made with the best ingredients possible and packed in transparent packs. Nutrients and allergens are thoroughly checked and packages are categorized into a meat and refrigerant contained cool pack and a vegetable and recipe card contained meal kit pack.
The reason it is called ’10 minute magic’ is because you can simply open the pack and cook. Olive & Dodammeal CEO Changsuk Baek said “It is a great pleasure to meet moms at the fair. I have given great efforts in ingredients and hygiene so that babies can have the best food possible.”
Despite considerably decreasing number of new born babies in South Korea, baby food market has been steadily growing. According to a report of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, baby food market in South Korea jumped to 62 billion won ($53 million) in 2016 from 40.3 billion won in 2014 with an explosive jump to 94 billion won in 2017; and the reasons seem to ascribe to increasing number of dual-income households as well as working moms who are in much need of simple yet health food for their babies.
Baek focused on this and introduced Dodammeal with the best ingredients possible that comes in easy to cook packs. The Dodammeal’s long term management package covers all stage baby food from A to Z. The ingredients and recipes are made by gathering comments of moms and they are open to its Youtube channel so that more moms can use it as reference.
