The K-ICT Born 2 Global Center member company Linkflowhas won the CES 2019 in the digital imaging category twice in a row for 2017 and 2018.The CES is the world’s largest IT exhibition held in Las Vegas every year rewarding companies showing excellence in technology, design and user-friendliness. The Linkflow’s FITT360 is the world’s first neck bend wearable camera and it is set to release in 2019. Power Korea met CEO Kevin Kim.

Q. FITT360 has won the CES twice in a row. How do you feel?

A. I feel really grateful it is recognized in the global stage. The twice winning is encouraging our team and we are getting more and more convinced and confident in what we are doing and achieving.

Q. What is FITT360?

A. FITT360 is a wearable camera. Two cameras are located front and one camera in the back. This new layout of the cameras makes stitching each image easy. The wearing sensation also has been improved as well as the minimizing the board and the battery to make it lighter. FITT360 records images 360 degree and users can choose how many cameras to use to record. For example, novice users can use one camera only to make 2D contents.

Q. You’ve secured more than US$370,000 from the global cloud funding corporation Kickstarter. What could be the meaning of it as a Korean startup?

A.I think we are living in the age where people with innovative ideas and technology can attract attention from the world. FITT360 literally is a hand-free camera that can help you record your desired images conveniently. To put it simply, your hands are free from holding or controlling the device to record images.

Q. What is behind of making FITT360?

A. Cooperation and communication are a must and it comes before technology since the latter comes from the former. Each team member shares their ideas to develop through exchange and influencing. To make this creative process regular, we hold a general meeting once a week to not only talk about ideas but also about the working environment. At the end of the meeting, we vote to choose the best team for encouragement.

Q. What are your plans next year?

A. We will be busydisplaying at the CES in January and the MWC in February as well as sending the products for a few months in the first half of the year. The official release will take place thereafter. All members of Linkfloware determined to make a great success and we will keep up our passion and hard work.
