The Baekpa Counselor director Baekpa is the founder of 'Sugyeonghak'. He was taught under the instruction of Monk Songpa at Haeinsa Temple in Hapcheon County. Sugyeonghak is the result of his learning and training during this period.

Sugyeonghak is a theory that asserts 'if one man gives an insight into another man, the one man surely knows the future direction of the other': 'Su' means 'life' and 'gyeong' means 'mirror' and 'hak' means 'theory'.

"A breakdown comes from discordance, failure comes from wrong place and unlucky comes from bad name either person or business" asserts Baekpa who has reached his age of 80 without ceasing his zeal in delivering 'hope' to the people.

Sugyeonghak covers various theories from geomancy and naming to fortune telling and the four pillars of the destiny. Baekpa's theory and counseling are so popular that he not only is widely known in Korea but also in the Koreans living in the US in which he had been broadcast through local Korean channels from 2002 to 2007. 

His instant Q&A was very popular that the answers he gave instantly on the problems of the inquirers often became a life time guide for them. Thanks to this remarkable talent, he has been, and is being, invited from 39 countries worldwide. 

It is notable that the renowned business tycoons such as Lee Byung-chul (founder of Samsung Group, deceased), Kim Woo-choong (founder of Daewoo Group), Jung Tae-su (founder of Hanbo Group), Chung Ju-yung (founder of Hyundai Group) and Choe Sun-yeong (founder of Shing Dong-a Group) sought advice from Baekpa. 

Baekpa also used his knowledge and belief in supporting the state-run infrastructure planning and urban generations. It is known that he is the first one who planned moving the administrative capital to what is called today as Sejong City during the Park Chung-hee regime. 

"Sejong City is the best of the best in the geomancy point of view. The wind breezes down to rest and go and the mountains and ridges gather and disperse to and from" explains Baekpa. The suggestion indeed came true in 2012 in the name of Sejong Special Self-governing City'.

Baekpa is not a money pursuer since his philosophy of 'not to be a man of shame' has always been well kept and valued. He offered free counseling to those who sought his advice but had no money to pay the fee. He is also well known of his engagement in volunteer and donation as some people call him 'the Godfather of sharing'.
