Big data on cognition ability brings new solutions to academic performance
Choi Byeong-hyuck, CEO of New Page, focused on different level of development process of cognitive ability and thus invented this innovative New Page study method. Memory and logic needed for learning varies depend on one’s ability. In other words, finding one’s own level of ability is very important to draw the right learning method. “I think the development of cognitive ability is not innate but when a child reached to high school it will have finished the development then. So in that case it is more important to analyze the level of his/her cognitive ability in order to find a right study method. And at this stage the result can vary significantly according to the tendency of each learner. It is this idea that New Page is designed and built to find each student an ideal study method according to each different tendency, and subsequently draw a great result on the exams” explains Choi. New Page uses big data on cognitive ability of each different brain type and gives analysis on logic, memories and meta-cognition. It is interesting to know that New Page also analyzes the brains of those who made for top universities to be used for the possible follow ups. “Finding a right study method is crucial. For instance, a student with good long term memory must avoid repeated reviews since they already have good memories. A student with good logic, for another instance, is to be encouraged to solve problems without looking the answers and explanations.” 

Customized workbooks and educational ambition
Choi made for KAIST in his second year at high school and is taking a master’s course at the moment. Establishing New Page was his good will to help students find their own cognitive ability and learning method. The wrong answer note at New Page is categorized in five sections and logic workbook and memory workbook are designed to improve each weak part. The two patented cognitive ability measuring solutions are also worthy of note as it has accelerated the grades of students to the third or fourth levels within 3 months or 1 year after application of the New Page methods; some even show a great jump to the fifth level from the first level. “I again would like to emphasize on the importance of finding one’s own level of cognitive ability and the subsequent learning method in order to bring the best result possible. As for the future plan, I hope to work together with the Ministry of Education and local governments and share this brilliant ideas and methods of mine.”
