“Yes My Window is unique in design where tradition meets modernity”
Kim Gyeong-rim, CEO of Gyeongrim Housing

The recent boom of home remodeling has created another boom in using ornamental windows and doors. Recognizing the trend, the windows and doors specialist Gyeongrim Housing took over a woodworking shop to systematically provide Koreanized eco-friendly windows and doors. The Gyeongrim Housing’s uniquely designed brand ‘Yes My Window’ in fact has already received its recognition from architects overseas in the Philippines, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Japan. CEO Kim majored in interior architecture and worked as a floor plan designer. She opened a shop to display her works in 2001 and soon took over a woodworking shop to systematically produce unique windows and doors. From entrance and bedroom doors to windows and 2-3 layered beveled glasses and props, ‘Yes My Window’ offers the elements of tradition, uniqueness and eco-friendliness. It is notable that Kim herself built her skill to use hardwood to make frames, doors and bars in order to realize her design in detail. As a business woman, Kim also exerted her utmost effort in growing the business and currently is running a number of shops in Cheongju, Daejeon, Miryang and Pohang. What makes ‘Yes My Window’ different from rivals, Kim says, is at its own design, realization of harmony between tradition and modernism, sturdiness of the frames and bars, and graceful and well-lighted design. To further expand the product lines, Kim quite recently introduced tables, LED lighting box, prop box and plates inspired by door bars and frames made of sun tree and is attracting a great attention especially from young people. Seeing the unique design and functionality of ‘Yes My Window’, a number of overseas businessmen in food industry have ordered works themed on Korean paper and window frame as well as glasses, according to Kim. Also, a big Korean restaurant in the US has asked Kim whether she could fly over to do the remodeling. It is not surprising to know that Kim’s house is remodeled with wood and she is confident to explain the advantage of using wood more than anyone else. With her ambition to spread excellence of Korean windows and doors, Kim completed the Women’s CEO MBA run by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups while actively engaging in social contribution activities with a good will to fulfill her social responsibility as a businesswoman.
