Moon meets leaders of Vietnam
After the summit with Vietnamese President Trần ©¢ại Quang on 23 last month in Vietnam, President Moon had a meeting with leaders of Vietnam: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyễn Phú Trọng, Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân and Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyễn Xuân Phúc. At the meeting, Moon emphasized that Vietnam is a core partner of the Korea’s New Southern Policy and said “The Korean government is strengthening cooperation for the common prosperity of the ASEAN. Vietnam, in particular, is the first trade partner of Korea in terms of every field.” Trọng said in response “You are the first official visitor to Vietnam in 2018 and I’m sure that I will bring many luck to us” while Ngân expected the visit would upgrade the cooperation between the two countries a level high after congratulating the successful PyeongChang 2018. Phúc then said “I sincerely wish a successful South-North summit as well as North-US summit that will contribute to creating peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula and the world.” Moon said in response “Korea is the second trade partner of Vietnam and Vietnam as the 4th of Korea. The trade volume has increased by 128 times since 1992 and the last year alone showed a 44% growth. Also, the Korean’s visit to Vietnam increased by 50% last year and Vietnam in fact has become the No.1 destination of Koreans among ASEAN.”

Moon meets leaders of the UAE
On the second day of his visit to the UAE, President Moon had a meeting with 5 leaders of the UAE including Chairman of Executive Affairs Authority Khaldoon Al Mubarak, State Minister Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company CEO Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
