“Sound Currency for Everyone: GLUWA Coin and GLUWA Credit Coin!”
Oh Tae-lim, CEO of GLUWA Inc. / Lee Kyung-suk, Regional Director of GLUWA Korea

GLUWA Inc. launched its business in Seoul in 2012 as an IT startup and proved its capability in FinTech, block chain and smart grid. It succeeded drawing an investment from 500STARTUPS, a Silicon Valley venture fund, in 2016 and CEO Oh Tae-lim relocated the head office to California leaving Regional Director Lee Kyung-suk in charge of GLUWA Korea to cover the Asian region also. In 2017, GLUWA signed a MOU with INNOGY, a German energy group, and succeeded breaking into the block chain-based P2P loan market through Rubix One, an in-house renewable energy company. To keep rolling the wheels, CEO Oh is expanding its business scope to Aella Credit (a Nigerian money lender) and Seoul Auction Blue (an art fund). Quite recently, Oh is test running GLUWA Coin, the self-developed virtual currency 2 years ago, and is inviting talented engineers and researchers in Silicon Valley in preparation for global business. Lee Kyung-suk, Regional Director of GLUWA Korea, predicts that the current heated up virtual currency market will see even larger scale joint projects backed up by the black chain technology when the bubbles get popped off. GLUWA is proud of its innovative two-way trade system between individuals and businesses on which the company already has pioneered the smart grid and global credit-rating services. It is also notable that GLUWA offers its block chain technology and virtual currency services at the same time. Director Lee explains that GLUWA Coin is a kind of ‘stable coins’ which maintain the advantage of decentralized management of the currency unaffected by volatility in value. Stable coins are often cited as fixed-value virtual currencies which can be used on smart phone without a bank account regardless what situation you are in such as a civil war of political turmoil. According to Lee, GLUWA Coin offers a better transaction environment than USDT on smart grid and it can build a credit-rating system in connection with Rubix One. The uniqueness of GLUWA Coin, however, comes from the fact that the users can have investment loans based on their credit rate. This year, GLUWA introduced GLUWA Credit Coin, a loan-only cryptocurrency built on the diversified credit network-based P2P. The coin protects personal information of the user whose identity is verified and all transaction histories are recorded and remained permanently in the block chain. Director Lee announced that GLUWA Korea will create an on/off line simple transaction platform within the year to see the GLUWA Credit Coin actually being used in the real world. Lee predicts that high security and rapid processing speed of the GLUWA technologies will bring forth the commercialization of cryptocurrencies in various e-commerce businesses including online shopping malls in near future. And Lee is confident to say that GLUWA Coin and GLUWA Credit Coin will be ideal alternatives to bit coin that is easily affected by exchange fluctuations.
