Kim Dong-hwan and Choi In-ah, CEOs of Saisiot

Kim and Choi are called themselves as ‘self-branding directors’ and say “self-branding starts from understanding about you. In order to understand about you, you must listen to what others say and what successful people say. Likewise, you also have to listen what others are thinking about you.” Kim is running a family business and Choi is working as a designer for a marketing firm. The former is in his 30s and the latter is in 20s. But they happened to meet each other and found things in common and launched Saisiot. “I went to a lecture of a famous person. It was impressive and I thought I could start one on my own. And it was the beginning of Saisiot” says Kim. Because both have their own jobs, Saisiot is not generating any profits yet as all lectures of Saisiot are free. “Some people say why we do this unprofitable business. But we started it with our good will to help people. So, that’s fine and we are fine” says Choi. Kim compares Saisiot as a playground. “We don’t have special plans for lectures. We just improvise time to time through questioning and questioned which eventually will lead to a discussion. The process makes the lecturer audience and vice versa. It’s really interesting” says Kim. “Brand is identity. To have one’s own brand in other words is how you think yourself and how you would like to be received by the society. So, it is important to set up one’s value and pride clear and open. This will make yourself surpass the others and can raise satisfaction of your life” says Choi.
