“There is difference between hospital consulting and marketing” says Lee. “The former is more focused on raising work efficiency done through an in-depth analysis on the overall management system of the hospital while the latter literally is on marketing by an industry specialist.” Lee is a veteran hospital consultant providing services for more than 50 hospitals through various lecturing, speech and training. The book ‘Increasing Hospital Revenue 100 Times More’, sometimes called as the bible of hospital, is the result of her yearlong knowledge and experience in the field. “Communication and motivation between the management and the staff are most important in increasing work efficiency as well as revenue” emphasized Lee. Most hospital workers are rather unwilling for any change according to her and this is the reason that she focuses on giving motivation. “Motivation leads to positive attitude and positive attitude leads to changes and changes affect excellent customer services and sales. I’ve proved this many times by witnessing the hospitals actually increased the revenue after a certain period of my consulting.” In fact, the touching customer services are not about something big but they start from a kind word or warm holding of the patients’ hands according to Lee. Like the name of the company suggests – change young – Lee wants to be a leader of change rather than be changed and this philosophy is duly applied to trainees. As if proving the effect of it, some of the being changed personally calls Lee to say thanks. “I say ‘No’ to the director of a hospital who prioritizes ‘sales’ first.
