건강한 삼림, 산책로 조성 등의 옵션이 아파트 분양조건에 붙기 시작하면서 건축자재 폐가공품, 대량의 양산품 위주인 놀이 휴식공간은 차츰 자취를 감추고, 그 자리에는 아이들의 안전을 고려한 조합놀이대와 푹신한 잔디, 탄성바닥재질의 워킹보드 등이 들어서기 시작했다. 웰빙이라는 이름에 국민체육진흥의 가치를 담아 건강한 조경, 어린이 놀이시설 안전시공을 추구해 온 ㈜드림랜드의 양태홍 대표는 지난 29년 간 놀이시설전문기업이 친환경에 근접해진 대세에 기여한 기업인 중 한 사람이다. 

안전하고 사후관리 완벽한 친환경 놀이 및 휴식 공간 시공의 대명사

아파트 단지 내 넓은 공간을 개별적인 놀이기구들로만 채우던 80년대 중후반, 시대를 앞서 간 테마파크형 놀이공간을 제안하며 좁은 놀이공간도 창의적으로 활용할 수 있는 조합놀이대를 개발해 온 대전의 ㈜드림랜드 양태홍 대표는 지난 2012년, 버드내아파트 놀이 공간 시공으로 재경부의 우수놀이시설 건립 기업으로 선정된 업계의 실력자다. 기업인이자 취미가 스포츠인 양 대표는 2000년대에 대전 로타리클럽 회장직을 비롯해 2010년부터 6년간 대전광역시 빙상경기연맹 회장을 역임하였고 대전 락클라이밍 등산학교 동문회장을 맡기도 하였다, 또한 양 대표는 지난해부터 대전 산악연맹 자문위원으로 활동하고 있으며, 자연으로부터 배운 지혜를 지난 1988년부터 놀이시설과 조경시설 건립 아이디어로 활용해 왔다고 한다. 양 대표의 ㈜드림랜드는 지금까지 친환경 시설의 유치원, 숲속유치원 및 어린이집만 1천여 건 이상을 건립했으며, 2016년 경기 연천군 군 관사 놀이터 놀이시설 설치, 부산유치원 어린이 조합 놀이대 및 탄성포장 시공, 대전 버드 내단지 내 조경시설 설치에 이어 올해 세종시에서 첫 마을APT의 조합 놀이대 설치, 충남 금산군 다락원 어린이놀이시설 설치 등을 완료했다. 철, 콘크리트, 시멘트보다는 친환경 목재, PE, 스테인레스 스틸을 주로 사용하며 자전거, 워킹용 바닥재로 탄성바닥재(EPDM)를 시공하는 양 대표는 이러한 조화가 시공지 주위의 조경과 잘 어울릴 뿐 아니라, 이용하는 주민들과 어린이들의 안전과 건강에도 좋다고 한다. 특히 더불어민주당에서 발의한 전국 어린이놀이시설 안전관련 법규가 작년부터는 실내·외로 확장되면서 건립은 물론 사후관리에 대한 법령 조항의 세부규정까지 생겼기 때문에, 안전성이 입증된 소재로 시공하며 AS를 정기적으로 진행하는 ㈜드림랜드를 찾는 곳이 더 많아졌다고 한다. 양 대표는 국립산림과학원의 목재방부처리시험, 한국건설생활환경시험연구원 품질보증 Q마크 및 신제품 안전인증을 연이어 획득했으며, 충남의 공장에서 재료를 직접 조달하여 설계 및 도안, 시공, AS까지 도맡아 책임시공을 하는 것이 원칙이라고 전했다. 

도심 아파트 단지 놀이시설에도 자연을 닮은 시공 실력 발휘해 각광

㈜드림랜드는 설립 8년만인 1996년 공장을 설립하고 이듬해 어린이 놀이대 상부조형물의 첫 의장등록 후 조합 놀이대 제작 설치전문기업이 된 것에 이어, 2005년부터는 본격적으로 조경시설전문기업이 되었다고 한다. 그리고 주로 놀이시설물, 휴게시설물, 체육시설물, 조경시설물을 비롯해 다목적 구장, 암벽장, 육상트랙 등을 시공하고 있으며, 휴게 공간 내 조형물 제작에도 일가견이 있다고 한다. 최근에는 미사용 놀이터 폐장 후 리뉴얼시키는 데 해당 지자체의 지원금을 받을 수 있게 되어서, 한국생활환경시험연구원의 조합 놀이대, 시소, 오르는 기구, 그네 안전인증서를 모두 획득한 ㈜드림랜드의 경쟁력이 더욱 높아졌다고 한다. 양 대표는 잔디와 모래 위에 작은 성, 파티오, 첨탑, 열차 등 다양한 소재에서 영감을 받은 조합놀이대를 그네, 암벽 오르기, 흔들다리, 미끄럼틀 등 8-10개 이상의 놀이기구가 합체된 각각 다른 디자인으로 제작하고 있는데, 친환경 목재 조합 놀이대는 조형지붕, 기차놀이대 등 다수의 디자인등록이 되어 있어 조형적으로도 아름답다. 또한 양 대표는 주로 인공원두막, 운동시설, 산책로 조경 및 인공연못 중심이던 서울 수도권의 휴게운동시설 테마가 물놀이장, 분수, 캐노피 등으로 다변화되어 가고 있으며, 어린이조합놀이대의 수요도 꾸준히 증가하는 추세라고 한다. 그 외에도 ㈜드림랜드는 기업, 관공서, 연구단지의 놀이휴게시설과 아파트 및 인근 공원 놀이공간, 학교 휴게시설의 신축을 꾸준히 시공 관리중이며, 운동과 놀이기구 외에도 조경 공간 내의 수련장, 캠핑장, 야외 도서관 건립도 가능하여 놀이문화와 휴양, 감성에 대한 욕구를 모두 충족시키는 창의적 공간을 개발하기도 한다. 양 대표는 현재 경기 화성시 화성남양뉴타운 조합놀이대 및 시흥시 배곧신도시 공중놀이시설과 물놀이시설, 조경공사를 시행 중이다. 운동으로 건강을 유지한다는 양 대표는 도시의 어린이들이 생활 속에서 깨끗한 모래로 성을 쌓고, 학생들은 잔디 위 달리기로, 어르신들은 푹신한 탄성바닥재 위의 걷기운동을 할 수 있기를 바라며, 앞으로도 아파트 단지와 신도시 휴식공간에 숲 속을 재현한 건강한 시설 제작에 힘쓰겠다는 뜻을 밝혔다.

Safe and eco-friendly playground and resting place

Dream Land suggested themed playground when most playgrounds were made individually in apartment blocks in the 80s. In 2012, Dream Land was chosen as an excellence children’s playground facility enterprise by the Ministry of Finance and Strategy for its facilities within Budne Apartment. 

CEO Yang Tae-hong of Dream Land served as the president of Rotary Club Daejeon in 2000, chairman of the Korea Skating Union Daejeon for 6 years from 2010 and president of Daejeon Rock Climbing School Alumni. From last year, Yang is serving as an advisor of the Federation of Daejeon Mountain Climbing and has used the ideas gained from nature for his playground facilities since 1988. 

Dream Land has built more than 1,000 eco-friendly children facilities and in 2016 alone carried out building facilities for Yeoncheon County, Busan Kindergarten Association, Daejeon Budne Apartment and Sejong Village APT and Darakwon in Geumsan County. 

Dream Land uses EPDM for floors and other eco-friendly materials like wood, PE and stainless steel instead of steel, concrete and cement. CEO Yang takes into consideration the harmony of the facility with the surroundings as well as safety of children when carrying out a construction In accordance with the government’s new regulation that imposes responsibility on after care and management, Dream Land carries out a check up on completed facilities on a regular basis. Dream Land obtained Q Mark and a safety certificate of new products by the National Institute of Forest Science and the Korea Conformity Laboratories and the materials used at Dream Land are processed and directly delivered from its factory in South Chungcheong Province. 

Building eco-friendly playground facilities

Dream Land opened the factory in 1996 after 8 years of establishing the business and gained the title as a playground facility installation company by registering the design of upper part of children’s playground facility in 1997. The company grew to be a landscaping specialist in 2005 that covers various fields such as resting place, sports facilities, rock climbing and rooftop tracks. Recently, Dream Land obtained safety certificates relating to play table, see-saw, climbing device and swing. 

CEO Yang gives one whole playing device 8 to 10 individual designs such as a swing, rock climbing, suspension bridge and slide and the eco-friendly roof and railway table especially boast formative beauty as the designs have been registered. Yang also pays attention to pavilion, exercise facilities, trail, waterpark, fountain, canopy, training field, camp site, outdoor library and other creative spaces. 

Currently, Dream Land is building playground facilities in Hwaseong Namyang New Town and off ground playing facilities, water facilities and landscaping in Siheung Baegot New Town. CEO Yang said that he would keep providing his utmost effort in creating eco-friendly playground and resting facilities designed especially for children and elderly people.
