리셉션에는 각국 주한 외국대사는 물론 정.재계 많은 인물들이 참여했으며, 정부를 대표하여 김홍균 외교부 한반도평화교섭본부장, 국회를 대표하여 변재일 더불어민주당 의원 그리고 송희경 자유한국당 의원이 참석해 성황을 이루었다. 주한우즈베키스탄대사 비탈리 편은 “한국과 우즈베키스탄은 오랜 동안 가장 신뢰할 수 있는 관계를 유지해 왔습니다. 양국은 지속적인 고위급회담을 통해 모든 분야의 발전을 이루어 왔습니다. 특히, 주한우즈베키스탄대사관은 한-우즈벡 수교25주년을 축하하며 이는 앞으로 있을 샤브카트 미르지요예프 우즈벡 대통령의 공식 한국방문에 대한 준비단계로 여겨질 것입니다. 최고위급회담은 양국의 전략적 동반자관계를 심화시키는 계기가 될 것 입니다” 라며 개회사에서 말했다. 비탈리 편 대사는 또 “현재 500개의 현지기업이 한국기업의 투자와 관련해 일하고 있으며 그 중 75개는 100% 한국투자로 이루어지고 있습니다…우즈베키스탄 사람들은 한국문화에 아주 친숙합니다. 한국인들의 우즈베키스탄으로의 이주가 지금으로부터 80년 전에 있었고, 이제 이들에게 우즈베키스탄은 ‘제2의 고향’ 이나 다름없습니다” 고 말하며 “저는 이 기회를 통해 진심으로 양국의 국민들에게 축하의 말씀을 전하고 싶습니다…앞으로 양국의 관계가 더욱 강화되기를 기원합니다” 라며 말을 맺었다. 

Uzbekistan celebrates 26th Independence Day and 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations with S. Korea 

On the occasion of the 26th Anniversary of the Independence Day and the 25th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea, the Embassy of the Uzbekistan in Korea held a reception on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Crystal Ballroom, Lotte Hotel Seoul. 

Many foreign ambassadors in Korea and high political and business figures, including the Director of Office of Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs Kim Hong-gyun and lawmakers Byun Jae-ill (The Democratic Party) and Song Hui-gyeong (The Liberty Korea Party), attended the reception on the day. The Uzbek Ambassador Vitaliy Fen said “The Republic of Korea is one of the most reliable and time-tested partners of Uzbekistan. The relationship between our states is consistently developing in all directions due to the regular nature of the dialogue at the highest level and common interests. I especially want to note that this year we are widely celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, which will be marked by the planned state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Korea. I am convinced that the meetings at the highest level will give new impetus to further deepening of the strategic partnership between our countries.” He added “The number of enterprises with participation of South Korean capital in Uzbekistan has reached 500, including 75 with 100% Korean capital…Uzbek people are familiar with Korean culture, not by hearsay. In 2017 exactly 80 years have passed since the day of resettlement of Korean from the Far East to Uzbekistan, which became the ‘second homeland’ for many natives from the Republic of Korea.” He closed the speech by saying “I take this opportunity to sincerely congratulate people of Uzbekistan and South Korea on the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic relations…I hope for their further strengthening in the future.”
