주한콜롬비아대사관 207주년 독립기념행사 가져
콜롬비아 독립 207주년을 기념하는 행사가 7월28일 서울 롯데 호텔 에메랄드룸에서 열렸다. (독립일1810년 7월 20일). 이번 행사는 독립 기념 외에도 콜롬비아-한국 자유무역협정 (FTA) 1주년 그리고 콜롬비아-한국 수교 55주년을 기념하는 행사이기도 했다. 각계각층의 내빈은 물론 한국에 거주중인 콜롬비아인들이 초대되었으며, 콜롬비아의 역사, 문화, 음식을 아우르는 다채로운 행사가 열렸다. 양국 국가제창 (콜롬비아, 한국) 에 이어 띠또 사울 삐니야 주한 콜롬비아 대사님의 개회사가 있었고, 곧 이어 콜롬비아 전통의상을 입은 남녀가 무대에 올라 전통 춤을 선보였다. 콜롬비아 에서는 어린이들을 대상으로 애국가 부르기 콘테스트가 있었는데 당첨된 어린이 가족이 이번 행사에 초대되었다. 아쉽게도 국가를 부른 어린이는 오지 못했으나 스크린을 통해 들을 수 있었고 그의 동생이 대신 삐니야 대사님으로부터 선물을 전달 받았다. 이 외에도 이날 행사에는 살사공연, 남미전통악기 공연이 이어졌고 ‘파타콘’ - 바나나를 납작하게 만들어서 튀긴 콜롬비아 음식 – 과 한국 음식 등 다채로운 먹거리와 와인도 제공되었다. 

산업통산자원부, KOTRA ‘한-콜롬비아 FTA활용지원센터’ 열어
산업통산자원부와 대한무역투자진흥공사 (KOTRA) 는 지난 6월9일 (현지시간) 콜롬비아 수도 보고타에 ‘한-콜롬비아 FTA활용지원센터’를 열고 상품별 통관절차, 관세양허, 원산지증명서 발급 등 각종 FTA 활용 애로사항을 지원하고 있다. 또한 기업 밀집 지역, 현지 대형 전시회 등 마케팅 현장을 직접 찾아가는 이동 상담 서비스도 연중 실시하고 이를 위해 센터는 현지 전담직원과 더불어 산업별, 기능별 전문가로 구성된 외부 자문위원단을 위촉, 운영하고 있다. 윤원석 KOTRA 정보통상지원본부장은 “콜롬비아는 중남미 핵심 소비시장이자 북미와 중남미를 연결하는 FTA 허브로서 특별한 의미를 가진다”고 밝히며 “수출시장을 다변화하기 위해서는 콜롬비아 같은 신흥시장에서의 FTA 효과를 최대한 활용해 소비재 및 인프라 프로젝트 진출을 확대해야 한다”고 강조했다.

Colombian Embassy in Korea celebrates the 207th Anniversary of the Independence of Colombia
Colombian Embassy in Korea held the 207th Anniversary of the Independence Day event at Lotte Hotel Seoul in July 28. (Independence Day: 20 July 1810). The event also celebrated the 55th anniversary of Colombia-Korea diplomatic relations and one year anniversary of the Colombia-Korea FTA. Guests from all walks of life including the Colombian expats in Korea were invited to the event on the day and they shared Colombia’s history, culture and food with each other. After singing the national anthems of both Korea and Colombia, the ambassador H.E. Tito Saul Pinilla gave the opening speech and a traditional dance performance by a couple in traditional outfits took the stage soon after. Meanwhile, there was a national anthem singing contest of children in Colombia and one of the contestant families was invited to the event in Korea. Unfortunately, the child who sang the national anthem could not make the journey to Korea but his song was played on the screen instead and his sister received a gift from Mr. Pinilla on the day. The atmosphere was enlivened when the Salsa dance took the stage followed by a music performance consisted of traditional instruments. A variety of Korean and Colombian foods were also provided including ‘Patacon’ – a Colombian food made by pressing and frying banana alongside good Colombian wines.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency opened the Korea-Colombia FTA Exploitation Support Center on 9 June (local time) in Botoga, Colombia. The center supports possible difficulties that might occur for companies during the business process such as customs, concession of tariff and issuing a certificate of origin. Itinerant support for remote areas and large scale local exhibitions and marketing event are also provided throughout the year and for this the center runs departments categorized in each field and function as well as an advisory committee to make things go smooth. KOTRA’s information and trade support division head Yoon Won-suk said “Colombia is the core consumer market in Central and South America and can function as the FTA hub of the region. I think that Korean companies need to make their presence in the consumer goods and infrastructure of the Colombian market by making the most of the FTA in order to diversify the export markets.”
