Jan inaugurates as CEO of Age of Women
Chinese characters are to be marked alongside the Korean in 5 text books from January 2019. Naturally, the student's, and of course school parent's interest in learning Chinese characters is growing at a considerable level at the moment. Marking a milestone in the Chinese character education in Korea, Jang Hwa-soon inaugurated as CEO and Chairwoman of the monthly 'Age of Women-The Beautiful People' on 5 June 2017. She emphasized on staff welfare as it directly affects the performance of the business while showed her firm determination to find and promote hidden women talents of Korea. Jang's entrepreneurial skills have been well proved through running Balgeunhanja, Gyeonggihanja and KRICCC from which she spread importance of learning Chinese characters by using effective teaching materials and methods. A number of state-run Chinese character examinations are also held at KRICCC. In recognition of her contribution, Jang received 'Excellent Koreans Award', 'Mugunghwa Peace Award', 'Korea Education Industrial Awards' and a citation from the General Federation of Korea Chinese Character Education Promotion.
Jang and Kim Jong-min collaborate for Balgeunhanja
Jang is often called as 'a walking enterprise'. She succeeded the commercialization of her unique 'associative Chinese character learning' and she was approved by the organization committee of the Korea Best Leader Award as a Chinese character master. She then extended her expertise to TV lecture and recently made a TV commercial with Kim Jong-min to promote Balgeunhanja; shouting 'associative Chinese character magnet (or tug-of-war)' pops up the related characters; Kim learns under the instruction of Jang. The commercial is scheduled to be broadcast 150 times and it might be carried on at TVN thereafter. Having proved its effectiveness in the Korean market, Kim plans to pioneer China, Hong Kong and Japan in near future. "The successes never sleep more than 5 hours a day. Endeavor is the mother of success" says Jang; she runs Gyeonggihanja on Mondays, Age of Woman on Thursdays and KRICCC on Fridays. Also, she awards scholarships to students in financial difficulty and bonuses to staff with excellent performance.
Securing 10,000 members within the year
Balgeunhanja in Namyangju City currently has 3,800 members and Jang is ambitious to increase the number to 10,000 within the year with the support of the second branch in Cheonho-dong, Seoul. She also plans to expand the branches to Gangnam District and Hanam City. While the ongoing video lecture installed in tablets are smoothing the way through in the market, Jang also is pushing it forward through home shopping channels from October this year. The video lecture is consisted of Season 1 (6 episodes) and Season 2 (6 episodes) each lasting 50 minutes and it is sold around 300,000 won ($267). The Season 3, on the other hand, is designed for kindergartens and elementary schools.
