Motivation and strategy send your children to top schools and universities
Director Grace Song of Daechi Institute

Strategy is more important than dad's money, mom's information and children's hard work
The students preparing to enter top schools and universities of Korea need to pay attention to the total student admission program which is receiving more credits  than other screening programs at the moment. It focuses more on understanding of the contents of the textbook and the activities it involves. Director Grace Song of Daechi Institute in Daejeon said that she was often asked from students for helpful strategies which they could not obtain from online lectures or schools as each school applies different standard to mark the academic record. This means that strategies nowadays have become more important than the three conventional elements of dad's money, mom's information and children's hard work in entering top schools and universities. Song worked as a teacher in the institute district in Daechi-dong, Seoul for 3 years and has sent a number of students to top schools and universities. Back to Daejeon, her home town, 5 years ago to run her own institute, Song strategically responded to ever changing admission policies, with the recent none-scheduled admission to be reflected up to 75%. As a result, she has turned Daechi Institute to be one of the best in the region especially in terms of improving student's academic performance. Song's customized strategies have been well proved through the famous narration and complex thinking abilities designed for students wishing to enter science high schools and TEPS for students wishing to enter foreign language high schools. The classes in addition are provided with self-study schedule that gives a thorough analysis on weak and improvement point for each student. School parents also gave credit to the fact that all teachers stay as late as students do.

Comprehensive career consulting
Song pointed out the period from entering a middle school to the second semester of the first year as important as the period in the final year of high school because it requires students an ability more than memorizing vocabulary in English and thinking skills rather than calculating in math. It is also helpful to know that the current none-scheduled admission requires the final year middle school record for high school entrance and the whole 3 year high school record for university entrance. Song emphasized on hard work and endurance for a successful entrance and students need to see their time of studying as a time to learn their attitude to life and to build confidence and experience. For this reason, Daechi Institute provides students a comprehensive 1:1 career consulting involving analysis on one's aptitude and talent. The 20 full time teachers and 10 part times of Daechi Institute are actively engaging in gathering up-to-date entrance information and in bringing up new strategies to meet the new trend and standards.

Small class with a clear goal draws good results
When worked in the institute district of Daechi-dong, Seoul, in her early 20s, Song earned \360m a year. She used her knowhow and experience accumulated during the period to run the current 6 institutes with allowing only 6 students of the same level per class to manage each student efficiently and systematically for good results. The limited number of students also have shown better team work and presentation skills. To further enhance the management system, the teachers with better performance also gets promoted to deputy director to the director of a branch institute to maintain the quality of teaching in all Daechi Institutes and all teachers are regularly reminded to treat each student in proper manners to maximize motivation. Meanwhile, Song is taking financially needy students by 10% of the whole students at Daechi Institute as part of her social contribution activities and she is personally participating in government-led support projects to help students in need. <Power Korea> sends a message of support.
