KPMC (Korea Property Asset Management Cooperative) was established in December 2014. It has grown as a representative facility management cooperative in the field through transparent administration and professional management. With valuing client’s assets above anything else, KPMC has exerted much effort in development of new technology and improvement of service quality for the last three years. “I think cooperative is a very effective form of company to control technology-based facility managements as it puts people first when compared to investments made by companies for profits. Through the cooperative, we will grow together by making a better working environment” said Kim. KPMC has been well recognized for its expertise in the field; half of the staff has more than 15 years of experience in the field and 30% of them more than 10 years. With this professionalism as a spring board, Kim sees 2017 as the starting year of pushing forward his business expansion under the slogan ‘Kindness also is technology’ and double the customer satisfaction.

Working together to grow
Kim points out the heated up competition on low unit price in the current facility management market. Kim said that it would only make working environment poor and could encourage unprofessional workers to involve in the work. “Technical expertise and job satisfaction are very important as it naturally leads to safety and professionalism in work and to individual or team motivation as well as to customer satisfaction” explained Kim. The KPMC’s people-centered policy actively invites all the staff to the annual general meeting at which the yearly business performance is open to all. Also, the cooperative shares profits with the staff through dividends (investments and employees) to encourage a sense of ownership. In recognition of its innovative management, KPMC received ‘Family Friendly Excellent Enterprise Certificate’ from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in December 2016. KPMC scored high in scholarship support, maternity leave, leaving the work on time on every Wednesday and family event support. Meanwhile, Kim and his staff donate part of their profits to UNESCO every year. “Working together is what has made KPMC as big and successful as today.
