KOTRA to operate Korea Hall in ‘the Screen Forever 2016,’ Australia’s biggest video manufacturing convention
KOTRA (President Kim Jae-hong) explained that it participated in ‘Screen Forever,’ a video manufacturing convention held in Australia Melbourne for 3 days from 15th (local time) to seek for an opportunity for cooperation between Korea’s prominent animation manufacturers and Australian enterprises. This event was arranged to support finding animation markets in the region of Oceania, which had failed to draw attention so far despite the effectuation of Korea-Australia FTA in December 2014.

In this event proceeded for 3 days participated 750 companies from New Zealand, Canada, UK, USA, etc. Our eight companies visiting Australia this time are Iconics, an animation manufacturer which made Pororo and Tayo, ‘Pink dolphin,’ ‘BI Group,’ ‘Studio B,’ ‘AR-Mode Communication,’ ‘J Bugs,’ ‘Cre’spe, and ’PixTrend.’

Matthew Dinner, president of Screen Producers Australia, explained that “Australian animation manufacturers are warmly welcoming Korean content companies’ advance to Australia.” He said, “Since diverse benefits are given to videos jointly manufactured by both countries owing to the FTA, we are looking forward to Korean companies finding proper business partners in Australia.”

Han Sang-gon, KOTRA service industry head clarified, “For our animation industry, Oceanic region including Australia is still uncultivated market. KOTRA will positively support for animation and related goods in order to expand finding markets in Australia by constructing the framework of cooperation between Korean and Australian leaders in animation.”
