친절과 봉사의 자세로 지역사회 헌신해
박순진 법무사사무소의 박순진 대표는 1980년 고려대학교 졸업과 동시에 서울의 국책은행에 입사하여 은행원으로 근무하던 중 자아실현의 필요성을 절감하고 은행을 퇴사했다. 이후 대학원 법학과 과정을 밟으며 1989년 검찰직 공무원시험에 합격하게 되고 22년 간 대구지방경찰청, 안동지청, 경주지청, 포항지청 등에서 검찰공무원 생활을 마쳤다. 그는 2011년 퇴직 후 법무사 사무실을 개설하고 올해로 6년 째 법무사 생활을 하고 있다.

박 대표는 현재까지 LH공사 한양수자인, 대림e편한세상, 삼구건설 트리니티N 등 다수의 포항 소재 건물 등기를 수행하는 등의 실적으로 능력 있는 법무사라는 평을 얻고 있다. 박 대표는 사무소를 방문하는 고객들에게 친절과 봉사의 자세를 지켜오는 것으로 명망이 높다. 맡은 업무를 신속 정확하게 처리하고 경제적 약자들에게는 무료상담을 수백 건 이상 진행하는 한편, 수임 사건을 처리한 후의 문의사항에도 친절하게 답변하여 박 대표의 사무소를 방문한 고객들은 반드시 다음에도 박 대표를 찾는다고 한다.

검찰청 형사조정위원 활동 등 공정사회 만들기 위한 노력 이어가
박 대표는 지금까지 어려운 처지에 있는 사람들을 많이 만났다. 그런 만큼 무엇보다도 그들의 입장에서 다시 한 번 생각하고 도움을 줄 수 있는 방법을 최대한으로 찾는 것이 지금까지 법무사 생활을 하며 지켜온 철칙이다. 박 대표는 “생활이 어렵고 법률에도 무지한 한 시민이 사기단에게 땅을 뺏긴 사건을 상담하러 찾아온 일이 있었다. 그 때 형사고소 및 민사소제기를 통해 잃었던 땅을 되찾고 억울함을 풀어준 일이 가장 기억에 남는다”고 말한다.

박 대표에게는 원대한 꿈이 있다. 바로 공정한 사회를 이룩하는 데 일조해 국민들 스스로가 법조단체를 믿고 행복한 삶을 꿈꾸는 풍토 조성에 기여하겠다는 것이다. 박 대표는 이를 위해 현재 지방 일간지에 ‘박순진의 세상사는 이야기’라는 제목의 칼럼을 기고하며 법률생활과 인문교양의 중요성을 함께 강조해 나가며, 이러한 활동의 일환으로 <임진왜란기 청도의병진의 조직화 활동>, <운산역사기행-기행시집> 등 저술활동도 활발히 진행하고 있다. 그는 또한 현재 검찰청 형사조정위원으로 활동하면서 사회적 약자가 법의 충분한 보호를 받을 수 있도록 최선을 다해 노력한다.

퇴직 후 법무사의 길을 걸으면서도 종종 현직에 있는 후배들을 만나 공직사회의 나아갈 길에 대해 진솔한 대화를 이어간다는 박 대표. 그의 이러한 발걸음은 포항 사회를 넘어서 아름다운 대한민국을 만들어가는 기초가 될 것이다.

Law is closely related to our life. As our society has become more institutionalized, civil and criminal actions due to every accident and incident are so increasing that there are many cases to require law-related advice even in our everyday life. Practically, however, this is a very professional area that requires assistance from judicial scrivener or lawyer. Park Soon-jin, a scrivener who is running his judicial scrivener office in Pohang city, is well-reputed in the region for his solid experience in relevant fields and good character of giving consideration to people. 

Devoted to community with a mindset of kindness and service 
Park Soon-jin, president of Park’s Judicial Scrivener Office, graduated from Korea University and joined a government-run bank in Seoul but soon resigned himself realizing the necessity for self-realization. Then, on his course of law in a graduate school, he passed a civil service exam for judicial position in 1989 and worked as judicial official for 22 years at Daegu Regional Police, Andong Branch, Gyungju Branch and Pohang Branch until he finished the career. After resigning in 2011, he opened a judicial scrivener office and is now leading his 6th-year life as judicial scrivener. 

Up until now, president Park has been reputed as an able judicial scrivener by the performance of registering many buildings located at Pohang, including LH Public Corporation Hanyang Sujain, Daerim e-PyunhanSesang, Samgu Construction Trinity N, etc. President Park is widely known for his kindness and service mindset shown to the clients visiting his office. While handling his duty promptly and accurately and conducting hundreds of free consultation for the economically weak, he responds to inquiries even after completing local cases. For this reason, it is said that clients visiting president Park’s Office never fail to visit the place again.

So far, president Park has met many people in difficult circumstances. His iron rule as a judicial scrivener about this is to think twice in their shoes and find a way to help them as far as possible. President Park says, “Once, a citizen who was both bad off and ignorant of the law came to me to consult about an incident of losing his land to a ring of swindlers. I had him recover the lost land and dissolved the unfairness he had suffered by filing a criminal and civil lawsuits. That remains most in my memory.” 

President Park has a great dream, which is to achieve a fair society in his attempt to contribute to the atmosphere of happy life by the people’s confidence in judicial organizations. For this purpose, president Park is emphasizing the importance of legal life and humanities by contributing his column titled ‘Park Soon-jin’s story in everyday life’ on a local daily paper while actively writing <Chungdo patriotic soldiers’ organizing activity during Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592>, <Woonsan historical account of travels – Collected poems>, etc. He is also acting as criminal coordinator at the Prosecutor’s Office in an effort to have the weak in society receive adequate protection from law. 

He says that, even after his resignation, he often meets his junior incumbent prosecutors to have a frank talk about the future course of the public world. His thoughtful and far-seeing footsteps will be the basis for making a beautiful Korea rising above Pohang community.
