최근 전국을 발칵 뒤집어 놓은 가습기 살균제 논란으로 국민들의 안전 불감증은 날로 높아만 가고 있다. 이에 일반 방식이 아닌 초음파 방식을 도입해 산업용 가습기를 비롯하여, 공기청정 삼림욕기(피톤치드), 에코 하우스 가습기 등 생활가전제품을 개발해 고객과의 신뢰를 기본으로 니즈에 보답하고 있는 엠테크윈의 노민용 대표를 만나보았다.

수십 년 동안 가습기 전문회사에 근무하며 오로지 가습기 연구 및 개발을 하다 지난 2012년 (주)엠테크윈을 창립한 노민용 대표. “수십 년 동안 가습기를 전문으로 만드는 회사에 근무하며 고객의 니즈에 부응하기 위해 회사를 설립하게 되었습니다. (주)엠테크윈은 변화를 두려워하지 않는 창조적인 혁신으로 고객의 새로운 가치 창조를 위하여 끊임없이 노력하고 있습니다. 또한 최상의 서비스와 좋은 결과를 위해서는 좋은 팀워크가 중요한 만큼 구성원 모두의 비전을 향해 대화와 소통을 중시하는 기업문화 형성에 큰 노력을 기울이고 있습니다.”

올해로 창립된 지 만5년에 불과한 (주)엠테크윈은 ‘작지만 강한 기업’을 지향하며 고객의 니즈에 부응하기 위해 한 사람 한 사람에게 귀를 기울이고 있다. ‘남들과 같은 제품은 만들지 않겠다’는 신념으로 산업용 초음파 가습기를 비롯해 스탠드 칫솔살균기, 휴대용 칫솔살균기, 보틀 가습기, 에코 하우스 가습기, 미니 선풍기, 삼림욕기(공기청정기), 친환경 가습기 물병, 에코볼 필터 등을 생산하고 있다. “많은 분들의 도움으로 생존하지 않았나 싶습니다. 회사를 설립한지 5년이 채 안되지만 남들과 같은 제품은 안 만들겠다는 신념으로 100년 기업이 될 수 있도록 초석을 완전히 다지겠습니다.”

가습기는 공기 중의 수분을 공급하는 장치이다. 통풍이 잘 안 되는 곳이나 겨울철에는 실내공기가 많이 건조해진다. 건조한 공기로 인해 피부, 호흡기에도 영향을 미치게 되는데 이를 방지하기 위해 가습기를 사용하고 있다. 가정이나 사무실은 물론이고 산업현장에서도 생산하는 제품의 질 향상과 작업자의 건강과 업무 효율을 위해 가습기는 필수이다. 때문에 (주)엠테크윈의 산업용초음파가습기는 공공시설 (사무실, 학교, 은행, 병원, 실험실 등), 저온저장시설 (청과, 야채, 화훼 저장창고 등), 정전기 방지시설 (PWB 및 전자 부품 조립 시설 등), 공조설비 (도장, 인쇄, 섬유, 제지 공장 등), 농작물 시설재배 (버섯, 란, 새싹, 원예, 기타 농작물)등 다양한 곳에서 사용되고 있다.

“산업용초음파가습기는 제품 외관이 내열 플라스틱 재질로 되어있어 화재 및 누전을 완전히 해결하였으며 초 미립입자 분무로 확산성 및 가습효과가 우수하며 물 맺힘 현상을 최소화 하였습니다. 또한 스텐 진동차 홀더를 채용하여 수조부 부식 발생으로 인한 누수현상을 근본적으로 해결하였으며 그중에서도 동급 제품 중 최고의 분무량(3000cc/hr)을 자랑합니다.”

이처럼 산업용 초음파 가습기 외에도 (주)엠테크윈은 다양한 생활가전 제품을 생산하고 있다. 가정용 칫솔살균기와 휴대용 칫솔살균기는 (주)대표적인 효자 상품이다. 가정용 칫솔살균기는 원적외선 발열판을 채용하여 85℃ 고온으로 모든 세균(대장균, 뮤탄스균, 포도상구균, 살모넬라균, 녹농균 등)을 살균하며 소비전력 또한 6W이기 때문에 전기료 걱정없이 365일 경제적으로 사용이 가능하다. 뿐만 아니라 국내 최초 칫솔걸이 2개를 적용하여 가족단위에 맞게 선택 사용이 가능하도록 편리성을 추구하고 있다. 휴대용 칫솔살균기는 UV 자외선 lamp를 채용하여 칫솔에 번식하는 각종 세균(대장균, 뮤탄스균, 포도상구균, 살모넬라균, 녹농균 등)을 살균하여 항상 청결하고 위생적인 칫솔 상태를 유지하고 있다. 에코 하우스 가습기는 전기를 사용하지 않고 향균극세사 펠트를 사용하여 물을 빨아올려 증발시키는 친환경 자연기화식으로 방안과 오피스의 책상을 안전하고 자연스럽게 가습하여 적정습도를 유지해주며 젖은 수건 10장과 동일한 수준의 가습력을 가지고 있다. 공기청정 삼림욕기는 천연 피톤치드와 로즈마리 성분으로 바이러스균, 곰팡이균 제거 및 향균, 탈취, 소취력이 뛰어나 항상 쾌적한 실내 공기를 유지하며 무드램프를 채용하여 야간 취침 시 인테리어 효과를 낼 수 있다. 블로워 팬은 콤팩트한 디자인으로 사무실, 독서실, 공부방의 개인용 책상에 놓고 사용하기 편리하며 날개가 노출되지 않아 어린이들도 안전하게 사용할 수 있다. 이 외에도 (주)엠테크윈의 독창적인 기술력으로 다양한 제품을 국내 뿐 아니라 일본, 중국, 이스라엘 등 해외에 수출을 활발하게 활발히 하고 있다. 

“사업초기에는 막연했지만 현재는 남들과 똑같아서는 살아남을 수가 없다는 것을 깨닫고 직원들과 제품개발에 매진하고 있습니다. 항상 초심을 잃지 않고 초지일관의 생각으로 변함없이 생존할 수 있도록 노력하고 있습니다”라고 피력하는 노민용 대표. 자신 보다 직원 들을 먼저 생각하며 100년 기업으로 살아남을 수 있도록 독창적인 기술력으로 제품을 개발하고 있는 그의 바람처럼 (주)엠테크윈의 제품이 국내 뿐 아니라 세계에서도 인정받을 수 있기를 기대해본다.

Will respond to customers’ needs by creating passion for vision 
With the recent heated controversy over a germicide for humidifier, poor safety precautions are increasing day by day among the people. The reporter met President No Min-yong of MTechWin, which is meeting the needs of customers based on their confidence by developing home appliances including industrial humidifier, air-purifying green shower (Phytoncide) and Eco-house humidifier in supersonic method rather than general method.          
 
True leader of Korea leaping to a global enterprise  
After working for humidifier company for dozens of years in R&D section, president No Min-yong founded MTechWin Co. in 2012. “With a long experience with humidifier, I came to found a company to meet the customers’ needs. MTechWin is making constant efforts to create a new value for customers with creative innovation without fear of change. Besides, since good teamwork is important for the best service and good performance, we are putting in considerable effort to build a corporate culture attaching importance to conversation and communication toward the vision of all members.”       
With only five years since foundation, MTechWin Co. is listening to each and every customer to meet their needs with an aim toward ‘a small but strong company.’ With the principle of “not making another product from others,’ the company is producing industrial supersonic humidifier, stand toothbrush sterilizer, portable toothbrush sterilizer, bottle humidifier, eco-house humidifier, mini-electric fan, green shower (air cleaner), eco-friendly humidifier water jar and eco-ball filter.”It seems our company has survived by the help of many people. Though it still is less than 5 years since the foundation, I will fully solidify the foundation for a hundred years’ enterprise with the principle of not making another product from others."            
The humidifier is equipment for supplying moisture to the air. The interior air becomes dry at a stuffy place or in the winter. Dry air affects the skin and the respiratory organs and humidifier is used to prevent it. Humidifier is a must at home, at an office and even at industrial sites in order to improve the quality of product and a worker’s health and job efficiency. Therefore, MTechWin’s industrial supersonic humidifier is being used at diverse places including public facilities (office, school, bank, hospital, laboratory), low-temperature storage facilities (warehouse for fruits and vegetables, flowering plant), static electricity prevention facilities (PWB, electronic part assembly facilities), air con facilities (painting, printing, fiber, paper making factories), facility culture of crops (mushroom. orchid, sprout, floriculture, other crops). 
“Our industrial supersonic-wave humidifier with looks of heatproof plastic material has completely resolved fire and short circuit and minimized surface characteristics because ultrafine particle spray gives excellent diffusion and humidifying effect. It has fundamentally resolved the water leakage caused by corrosion at water tank by employing stainless vibration holder and boasts of the highest nozzle discharge rate (3000cc/hr) among the same class products.”  

Like this, besides industrial supersonic-wave humidifier, MTechWin is producing diverse home appliances. Home toothbrush sterilizer and personal toothbrush sterilizer are typical dependable products. The former disinfects all germs (coliform, cavity-inducing germ, staphylococcus, salmonella, pseudomonas aeruginosa) and its consumption electricity of 6W enables 365-day economical use without worry about electric charges. Besides, by selecting two toothbrush hangers for the first time in the nation, it seeks convenience to use selectively fitting the unit of family. Portable toothbrush sterilizer employs UV-ray lamp to disinfect every germ proliferating on the toothbrush  (coliform, cavity-inducing germ, staphylococcus, salmonella, pseudomonas aeruginosa) and keep its condition always clean and sanitary. Eco-house humidifier uses eco-friendly natural vaporizing, which absorbs and vaporizes water using not electricity but anti-bacterial ultrafine fiber felt, and it humidifies the desk in a room and office safely and naturally and keeps proper temperature with the same level of humidification as 10 pieces of wet cloth. Air-cleaning green shower with natural phytoncide and rosemary components has excellent removal of viruses and molds, anti-bacterial, deodorant power keeping pleasant interior air and giving interior effect at bedtime with a mood lamp. Blower fan in compact design is convenient to use on personal desk in an office, reading room and study room with safety enough for a child to use because it has no wings exposed. Besides, MTechWin is actively exporting diverse products overseas (Japan, China, Israel, etc.) with its original technology.
