박근혜 대통령, 반월·시화국가산업단지 방문해 중소·수출기업 종사자 격려
지난달 3일 박근혜 대통령은 설 연휴를 앞둔 민생 행보의 일환으로 경기도 안산의 반월·시화국가산업단지를 방문했다. 시화비즈니스센터에서 입주 기업인 및 근로자들과 간담회를 하고 산업 단지 내 한 자동차 부품 공장을 방문해 현장 근로자들을 격려했다. 우리나라 최대의 산업단지인 ‘반월·시화국가산업단지’에는 금형, 단조, 표면처리 등 뿌리기술을 활용한 전자·자동차 부품 생산업체와 같은 중소기업이 1만 9천여 개 입주해 있다. 박근혜 대통령은 반월·시화국가산업단지에서 일하는 중소 제조업체가 그야말로 수출을 지원하는 뿌리라 할 수 있으며, 또 우리 경제의 허리라고 말했다.

박근혜 대통령은 반월·시화국가산업단지 같은 곳에 젊은이들이 많이 올 수 있게 하는 환경을 만드는 게 중요하다고 강조했다. 현재 제조업 3.0의 일환으로 스마트 팩토리 등을 통해 공단의 생산성을 높이고 환경을 고쳐나가고 있다고 밝혔다. 또, 청년들이 우선 일을 하다가도 공부를 더 할 수 있도록 ‘선취업 후진학’의 길을 열어야 한다고 덧붙였다. 

한편, 박근혜 대통령은 아버지의 대를 이어 가업을 이어나가는 한 중소기업 대표와 이야기를 나누었다. 박 대통령은 여건을 마련해주고 뒷받침해야 장수기업으로, 히든챔피언으로 뻗어 갈 수 있다고 말하면서, 반월·시화국가산업단지를 더욱 발전시켜 많은 젊은이가 와서 일할 수 있도록 노력을 배가해야 한다고 말했다.

박근혜 대통령, 제9차 무역투자진흥회의 주재해 새로운 수출 동력과
투자 활성화 대책 논의
지난 17일 박근혜 대통령은 제9차 무역투자진흥회의를 주재했다. 박 대통령은 어려운 수출여건과 안보 상황이지만 이럴 때일수록 우리 경제의 기초체력이 튼튼하고 안보에도 문제가 없다는 것을 대내외에 적극 알려, 과도한 불안 심리가 확산되는 것을 차단해야 한다고 말했다. 이를 위해 투자 활성화 대책을 수립하고 새로운 수출 동력을 창출해 차질 없이 이행하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다고 강조했다.

박 대통령은 세계 경제의 저성장이 장기화되는 상황에서 내수활성화를 통해 수출이 부진할 때도 견딜 수 있는 경제 체력을 키워야 한다고 말했다. 특히, 새로운 투자와 양질의 일자리를 만들어 낼 수 있는 잠재력이 매우 큰 분야인 서비스와 농림, 어업 분야의 발전을 강조했다. 박 대통령은 서비스 및 농림, 어업이 선진국과 비교해볼 때 아직 발전의 여지가 크고, 한·중 FTA 발효 등으로 새로운 시장이 열리고 있는 만큼 고용과 성장, 수출로 연결해야 한다고 설명했다. 그중에서도 농림·어업은 가공과 판매, 관광을 융복합화해서 6차 산업으로 탈바꿈할 수 있도록 규제 완화와 컨설팅 등 지원을 강화하는 것이 중요하다고 말했다.

이어서 박근혜 대통령은 앞으로도 고속 성장이 예상되는 유망산업 중 하나인 스포츠 산업에 대해서도 언급하며 스포츠 산업의 성장을 위해서는 인프라 확충과 함께 민간의 투자 인센티브를 강화하는 것이 매우 중요하다고 강조했다. 이와 함께, 그린벨트 등 입지 규제를 합리적으로 개선해 스포츠시설의 가용부지를 확대하고 제조업 투자에 상응하는 재정, 세제 지원을 제공해 민간의 적극적인 투자를 끌어내야 한다고 말했다.

Park encourages export SMEs 
President Park paid a visit to Banwol & Sihwa National Industrial Complex on 3 last month and encouraged the employees of the resident companies of Sihaw Business Center at a meeting and during the field tour. As the largest industrial complex in Korea, the complex boasts 19,000 companies in mold, welding, surface treatment and electronic components and car parts. Park said that SMEs in the complex was the root of our export and the waist of our economy. She said that creating an environment to attract young workers to the complex was important and the government was working on improving working conditions and productivity through Smart Factory as part of Manufacturing Industry 3.0. She also mentioned about 'Job First, Study Later' programme so that young people could have both job and qualifications at the same time. Park particularly had a time to talk with a CEO of family business and promised to give a support for family business to grow. 

Park resides at 9th KOTRA Meeting
President Park resided at the 9th KOTRA Meeting on 17 last month. Park said that we needed to let the world know that our economy was strong and our country was secure in the time of this struggling export and the North provocation. She emphasized on bringing up plans for boosting investment and creating new export engines particularly in the service, agriculture and fishery industries in this time of low growth of global economy. Park explained that those three industries had great potential to grow, and also new markets were open thanks to Korea-China FTA, and we needed to use this advantage in job creation and increasing the export volume. For this, she said, the government would carry out deregulation and give a support to turn the fields as the 6th industry by combining manufacturing and sales with tourism. Park also mentioned about the rising sports industry that it was important to secure necessary infrastructure and strengthen the incentives for private investment through securing the sites for sports facilities, deregulation, and financial and tax support.
