해외 20개 KOTRA 취업지원 담당자 방한, 해외취업확대전략회의 개최
KOTRA(사장 김재홍)는 고용노동부, 산업인력공단과 공동으로 지난달 3일부터 4일 양일간 aT센터에서 해외취업확대전략회의(K-Move센터 워크숍)를 개최했다. 기관간 협력과 소통을 통해 해외취업의 돌파구를 마련하기 위함이다. 이번 워크숍에서는 해외취업 지원 창구 역할을 하고 있는 20개 KOTRA 해외무역관(K-Move 센터, 해외취업거점) 담당자들이 직접 방한하여 해외취업 현장의 목소리들을 쏟아냈다.

이들은 국가별로 원하는 직종이 달라 맞춤형 취업지원 전략이 필요하다고 밝혔다. ▲미국, 중국, 일본, 독일에서는 현재 각광받는 핀테크, 사물인터넷(IoT) 관련 컴퓨터시스템, 소프트웨어 등 IT 전문직 ▲UAE 등 중동에서는 현지 인프라 개발 수요를 반영하여 건설·플랜트 엔지니어 ▲베트남, 인도네시아 등 우리 기업 진출이 활발한 신흥국에서는 한국 진출기업 중간관리자를 많이 찾는 것으로 나타났다. 

한편 KOTRA에서는 이번에 도출된 결과에 따라 2016년에는 구인처별 핀포인트, 소규모 맞춤형 상담회를 적극 확대하여 실질적인 성과를 이끌어낸다는 계획이다. 2015년에 IBM, 닛산자동차 등의 핀포인트 상담회를 개최하여 총 7명이 취업에 성공한 바 있다. 윤효춘 KOTRA 중소기업지원본부장은 "KOTRA에서는 해외에서 발굴한 실제 구인수요를 바탕으로 해외취업 지원 사업을 추진하고 있다”면서 “앞으로 정례화 될 해외취업지원 상시 협의체가 해외 현장의 취업지원 업무에도 큰 힘이 될 것으로 기대한다“고 밝혔다.

글로비(Globee), 고객을 위한 KOTRA의 새로운 이름
KOTRA(사장 김재홍)가 창사 이후 최초로 회사를 상징하는 캐릭터를 선보였다. 이름은 ‘글로비(GloBee, Global + Bee)’, 대한민국의 미래를 열어가는 글로벌 비즈니스 플랫폼으로서 ‘중소기업의 수출지원을 위해 꿀벌처럼 열심히 일하겠다’는 의지의 표현이다. 

그 동안 기관을 대표하는 캐릭터가 없었던 KOTRA는 새로운 캐릭터를 통해 고객사인 중소기업들에게 좀 더 친근한 이미지를 전달하고, 사내 소통을 원활히 하여 조직에 활력을 불어넣고자 한다. 2월 1일 KOTRA 서초구 본사 국제회의장에서 열린 월례 직원모임에서 캐릭터 조형물 및 인형탈 공개 행사를 가졌다. 캐릭터를 형상화한 조형물은 1층 로비에 상설 전시되며, 인형탈은 대내외 행사에서 다양하게 활용된다. 

KOTRA 직원이 활발히 공모에 참여한 덕분에 단순히 캐릭터를 만드는 것에 그치지 않고, ‘글로비’를 응용하여 재밌고 신선한 이미지의 ‘이모티콘’이 태어났다. 인사, 미팅, 출장, 휴가 등 의사소통에서 자주 연출되는 상황을 30종으로 각색하여 KOTRA 홈페이지 및 앱을 통해 고객사들에 무료로 공개하여 KOTRA 이미지 홍보에 적극 활용할 뿐만 아니라 사내 메신저에도 띄워 직원들 간 원활한 커뮤니케이션을 지원한다. 아울러, 126개 글로벌 네트워크를 가진 조직 특성을 고려하여 영어, 중국어, 일본어, 스페인어, 러시아어 등 5개국 버전으로 업그레이드하여 사용할 수 있다.

김현아 KOTRA 고객지원팀 차장은 “글로비 이모티콘을 이용해 동료들과 메신저를 하는데, 볼수록 정감이 들고 소통하는 맛이 난다. 이미지를 핸드폰에도 저장해 고객사 분들과 대화할 때도 즐겨 사용하는데, 회사 캐릭터를 이용한 이모티콘이라 그런지 훨씬 더 친근감이 느껴진다”며 기뻐했다.

KOTRA holds overseas employment expansion strategic meeting
KOTRA CEO Kim Jae-hong held an overseas employment expansion strategic meeting on 3-4 February at the aT Center with the support of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. 20 heads of overseas K-Move Centers attended the meeting and represented the current conditions of overseas employment. They pointed out that the US, China, Japan and Germany are looking for manpower in Fintech, IoT related computer system and software, the Middle East (including UAE) in construction and plant engineering, and Vietnam and Indonesia in middle management who can smoothly connect the local Korean companies to the local environment. For this, KOTRA plans to draw substantial results by actively expanding the Pinpoint and the small size-customized consulting in 2016.

KOTRA formerly promoted 7 overseas employment last year by holding the pinpoint consulting for IMB and Nissan. Yoon Ho-chung, Head of SME Support Headquarters of KOTRA said "We are carrying our overseas employment based on the real market demand for necessary manpower. When the related overseas employment organization is launched, it will make job seekers easier to have a post in overseas countries."

KOTRA introduces Globee
KOTRA recently introduced its own character Globee (Global + Bee). It contains its will to work hard like honey bees for the member SMEs. The character is expected to deliver friendly image to the member companies and to create cordial atmosphere within the companies. KOTRA disclosed the character at a monthly staff meeting held at the headquarters of KOTRA on 1 last month. The statue was erected at the lobby on the first floor and the masks are intended to be used in various events. Also, the 30 emoticons will be downloaded at the KOTRA homepage or the app so that the staff and the member companies can exchange opinions and information in a friendly atmosphere.

The emoticons are provided in English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and Russian so that they can connect 126 global networks of KOTRA more efficiently. Kim Hyeon-ah, Deputy Head of Customer Support Team of KOTRA said "I use these emoticons a lot when exchanging messages with my colleagues and customers. I feel more comfortable and friendly than before."
