KOTRA holds overseas employment expansion strategic meeting
KOTRA CEO Kim Jae-hong held an overseas employment expansion strategic meeting on 3-4 February at the aT Center with the support of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. 20 heads of overseas K-Move Centers attended the meeting and represented the current conditions of overseas employment. They pointed out that the US, China, Japan and Germany are looking for manpower in Fintech, IoT related computer system and software, the Middle East (including UAE) in construction and plant engineering, and Vietnam and Indonesia in middle management who can smoothly connect the local Korean companies to the local environment. For this, KOTRA plans to draw substantial results by actively expanding the Pinpoint and the small size-customized consulting in 2016.

KOTRA formerly promoted 7 overseas employment last year by holding the pinpoint consulting for IMB and Nissan. Yoon Ho-chung, Head of SME Support Headquarters of KOTRA said "We are carrying our overseas employment based on the real market demand for necessary manpower. When the related overseas employment organization is launched, it will make job seekers easier to have a post in overseas countries."

KOTRA introduces Globee
KOTRA recently introduced its own character Globee (Global + Bee). It contains its will to work hard like honey bees for the member SMEs. The character is expected to deliver friendly image to the member companies and to create cordial atmosphere within the companies. KOTRA disclosed the character at a monthly staff meeting held at the headquarters of KOTRA on 1 last month. The statue was erected at the lobby on the first floor and the masks are intended to be used in various events. Also, the 30 emoticons will be downloaded at the KOTRA homepage or the app so that the staff and the member companies can exchange opinions and information in a friendly atmosphere.

The emoticons are provided in English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and Russian so that they can connect 126 global networks of KOTRA more efficiently. Kim Hyeon-ah, Deputy Head of Customer Support Team of KOTRA said "I use these emoticons a lot when exchanging messages with my colleagues and customers. I feel more comfortable and friendly than before."
