패션몰 굿모닝시티 9층 내 총 130평 규모의 교육시설인 MBC아카데미뷰티스쿨 동대문캠퍼스는 메이크업오픈강의실, DDP의 전경이 한 눈에 들어오는 네일아트강의실 등 9개의 강의실과 함께 수강생들이 아메리카노를 마시며 휴식을 취할 수 있는 사이드 바를 갖춘 고급 살롱형 인테리어를 갖추고 있다. 서희주 원장은 “기본 학과별 베이직 코스, 심화과정까지 전문 강사진이 교육하며 패션 스타일리스트와 현재 뷰티 시장의 블루오션인 마네킹스타일리스트, 코스프레스타일리스트를 위한 멀티뷰티아카데미를 추구하고 있다. 특히 전문 강사가 드문 마네킹스타일리스트 과정을 배우기 위해 지방에서 찾아오는 분들도 많다. 17개 버스, 4개의 지하철 노선과 연결되고 6개의 엘리베이터, 지하 7층까지 있는 주차시설로 접근성도 좋다”고 전한다. 그리고 동대문캠퍼스에서는 메이크업, 네일아트 전문 과정에 최고 심화과정인 엘리트과정을 개강하고 있어 프로 아티스트 지망생들에게 인기가 높다. 엘리트과정은 세계적으로 활동을 하고 있는 내·외국인 아타스트들의 기술을 배울 수 있는 최고의 과정이다. 또한 이 과정을 우수한 성적으로 이수하면 각종 세계대회에 참가할 수 있는 특전이 주어지기 때문이다.

Fostering world class beauty specialists at the advantage of its location in DDP
Located on the 9th floor of Fashion Mall Good Morning City in Dongdaemun, MBC Academy Beauty School Dongdaemun Campus boasts a 400 square meter space with 9 lecture rooms including open make-up and nail art lecture rooms and a sophisticated café. Director Seo said “We provide from basic to advanced courses especially focusing on fashion stylists, mannequin stylists and costume play stylists. Many people from all over the country visit our campus particularly to learn mannequin styling. The campus building has 6 lifts and 7 floors of basement parking lot and 17 bus routes and 4 subway lines are met.” The campus basically provides courses like make up and nail art  alongside elite courses in which students can learn world level techniques.  Those who finish the course with top marks can participate in various world competitions. The campus currently has 250 students aged between the teens and the 60s in each area of the course.

Director Seo said “100 of our students participated in numerous competitions last and this year and won 120 prizes including Namhee Kim who won the grand prize in the make-up & body painting category, Minsun Jo who also won the grand prize and Jinah Park who won the grand champion in the nail art category. I can say that we have a perfect student support system. Our world champion body painting specialists are providing customized curriculum so that students can execute high level of their skills. We also provide systematized training plan from the admission to competition and our mock text before the real competition makes them feel comfortable and confident.”

Director Seo also said “It is our goal to foster down-to-earth beauty specialists. We promote each student’s personality and creativity so that they can be unique and innovative in each field and to grow to be a global level beauty specialist.” Meanwhile, the campus has been supporting low income students through free beauty classes (hosted by World Population and Health Welfare Association) and regularly provides talent donation at Jongno Rehabilitation Center and nursing homes. Also, the campus has participated in various fashion and beauty related events in the DDP area in the hope of bridging the beauty industry with fashion. With its goal of fostering total beauty artists, MBC Academy Beauty School Dongdaemun Campus will contribute to promoting K-Beauty to the world.
