Trends change depending on the value and the preference of people in the age. Interior design also developed from modern, French to Scandinavian recently in Korea. Many industry specialists point out ‘diversity’ as the current interior trend in Korea. It means that one style can combine with anther style. Located in Busan, SeokHwa Interior is one of the companies in the field which has taken a considerable number of interior designs nationwide. It is particularly famous for customized design and satisfactory services provided to each client. CEO Sukrok Jeong says “The current interior market in Korea shows a great diversity as people nowadays demand their own style. This means that interior designers have to be more open to their clients and improve communication skills.”

Client-centered design, public-friendly space
Apart from running a blog and a homepage, SeokHwa Interior has the biggest offline store in Korea. CEO Jeong says “We have more than 3,000 visitors to our homepage a day. They say they can check on interior samples provided and use them as reference for their own style. This is one of the reasons that they show a great satisfaction to our service.” Jeong opened a showroom at Furniture Street in Jwacheon-dong in January 2013 and established a business partnership with Hanssem Interior in order to provide advanced interior services. For this reason, SeokHwa Interior ranked No.1 in the partnership sales.

CEO Jeong says “I ran SeokHwa Total Decoration for the past 20 years. With the knowhow and experience I built, I keep carrying on trend analysis, better management system and customer services. I also run a good welfare system and training for staff and is planning to introduce new training in real estate so that the company can grow into a major company (SeokHwa Group) which can cover many related business areas. This of Jeong’s vision is well shared with his 30 employees. Jeong adds ”Interior designing is a job to create a space for life. For this reason, providing client-centered design and creating public-friendly spaces are very important for modern interior designers.”
