박근혜 대통령, 유라시아 교통물류 국제심포지엄 개막식 참석
박근혜 대통령이 지난해 10월 ASEM 정상회의에서 유라시아 교통물류 네트워크 협력 방안을 논의할 국제 심포지엄을 제안한 바 있다. 올해 4월 ASEM 교통장관회의에서 확정되어 2015년 9월 10일 드디어 유라시아 교통물류 국제심포지엄이 서울에서 개최되었다.
개막식에 참석한 박 대통령은 이번 행사를 계기로 지구촌 공동 번영을 선도해갈 뉴라시아(New-Eurasia) 시대가 앞당겨지기를 희망했다. 이어 박 대통령은 유라시아 내 교통물류 네트워크를 연결하고 유라시아대륙의 무한한 잠재력을 현실로 만들기 위해 다음과 같이 제안했다. 먼저 각국이 개별적으로 추진 중인 유라시아지역 네트워크 전략간 상호협력을 강화해야 한다고 밝혔다.

중국, 러시아, 미국 등 여러 국가에서 추진 중인 일대일로 정책(one Belt-one Route), 신동방정책(New Eastern Policy), 뉴실크로드 이니셔티브(New Silk Road initiative)를 언급하며, 한국도 역내 국가들과 협력하여 유라시아를 하나의 대륙, 창조의 대륙, 평화의 대륙으로 만들어가는 유라시아 이니셔티브를 추진하고 있다고 밝혔다.

이어 박근혜 대통령은 광활한 유라시아 대륙에 네트워크를 구축하는 것은 한 두 국가의 노력만으로 이루어질 수 없다며 여러 나라의 비전과 계획을 서로 공유하고, 이를 뒷받침하는 인프라 프로젝트들이 상호 유기적으로 추진될 때 비로소 실현 가능할 것이라고 강조했다.

박 대통령은 이번 심포지엄을 통해 국가 간 협력과 이해의 폭이 더욱 넓어지기를 기대하며, 유라시아 네트워크에 대한 공동연구를 수행할 전문가 그룹을 구성할 것을 제안하기도 했다. 특히 그 첫 회의를 내년 상반기에 한국에서 개최할 것을 제의했다.

박근혜 대통령, 2015 지역희망박람회 참석
지난달 9일 인천에서는 최대 지역발전 축제인 지역희망박람회가 개최되었다. 특히, 이번 박람회 기간에는 일자리 박람회도 동시에 진행되어 지역 일자리 창출을 위한 노력도 더해졌다. 

박근혜 대통령은 박람회 격려사를 통해 지금 우리는 나라 안팎의 다양한 도전을 극복하고, 대한민국의 새로운 도약을 위해 힘을 모아갈 때라며 창의와 혁신으로 국가사회 전반의 역량을 업그레이드해야 한다고 강조했다. 그러면서 중앙정부만이 아니라 각 지역과 지역 주민 모두가 주체가 되어 노력할 때 새로운 변화와 혁신을 이룩할 수 있다고 밝혔다. 박 대통령은 각 지역의 역량을 극대화할 수 있는 지역발전 정책을 다양하게 추진하고 있다고 밝히며, 전국 17개 시도에 자리 잡은 창조경제혁신센터에 대해 언급했다.

지역 발전을 위해 추진 중인 정책들을 상세히 언급한 박 대통령은 ‘좋은 일자리 창출’이 지역 발전 정책의 핵심이라고 밝혔다. 박근혜 대통령은 정부는 각 지역의 창조경제혁신센터들을 공공기관과 지역의 연구기관 및 대학을 유기적으로 연계하여 일자리 창출의 ‘고용허브’로 발전시켜 나갈 것이라고 강조했다. 또한, 공정하고 유연한 노동시장 개혁 없이는 창조경제와 문화융성이 크게 꽃 피울 수 없다며 정부와 지자체가 힘을 모아 노동시장을 개혁할 것을 주문했다. 특히 노동개혁을 완수해서 일자리 창출형 지역발전 사업이 단단히 뿌리내릴 수 있도록 각 지자체의 적극적이고 선도적인 노력을 당부했다.

Park attends opening ceremony of ASEM SYMPOSIUM 2015
President Park suggested to hold an international symposium for building a Eurasia transport network at Asem Meeting in October last year. And this year in September, ASEM SYMPOSIUM Seoul 2015 Eurasia Transport & Logistics Network was held. At the opening ceremony, President Park said that the event would be the momentum to advance New-Eurasia era. Park continued that each country's strategy and network project should be collaborated with whole Eurasia region if we were to realize the potential of the continent. Park mentioned China, US and Russia's 'one Belt-one Route', 'New Eastern Policy', and 'New Silk Road initiative', and said that Korea also was carrying out Eurasia initiative that would make Eurasia as one creative and peaceful continent. Park added that building a network cannot be done without sharing each country's vision and plan as well as joint projects and infrastructure. Park emphasized that the symposium should play a significant role to expand understanding and cooperation between the countries and suggested to form a specialist group. Park willingly offered that the first meeting of the group to be held in Korea early next year. 

Park attends 2015 Regional Development Fair
Regional Development Fair was held in September 9 in Incheon. The fair was collaborated with Job Fair in the hope of creating more regional jobs. In her words of encouragement, Park emphasized that we all had to work together with creativity and innovation to boost national capabilities. Park said that the central government was carrying out various regional development projects in order to maximize regional capabilities and she took an example of 17 creative economy innovation centers she has opened so far nationwide. She said that creating good jobs and work place is the most important value in regional development. Park continued that the government would encourage cooperation between public organizations, regional research centers and universities in order to create more jobs. She added that without a continuous reform in the labor market, creative economy and rich culture cannot be achieved and for this, local governments' support is much needed and she asked them to actively participate in creating more jobs through the labor reform.
