전 세계 33개국 1,200억 달러 프로젝트 한 자리에
전 세계 33개국 총 1,200억 달러 규모의 유망 프로젝트들이 한 자리에 모였다. KOTRA(사장 김재홍)는 산업통상자원부(장관 윤상직)와 함께 9일부터 3일간 잠실 롯데호텔에서 ‘2015 글로벌 프로젝트 플라자’를 개최하고 이같이 밝혔다. 이번 행사는 우리 플랜트 기업들의 해외 프로젝트 수주를 지원하기 위해 추진됐다.

이번 행사에는 전 세계 33개국 55개 발주기관의 관계자 70여 명과 국내 기업 관계자 500여 명이 참가해 우리 기업들의 해외 프로젝트 수주 가능성을 타진한다. 행사는 4대 분야 프로젝트 설명회(수송인프라, 에너지․플랜트, 스마트시티, EPC파트너링)와 일대일 프로젝트 상담회로 구성되며, 국내 중소․중견기업을 대상으로 상담 데스크도 운영된다.
이번 행사에서는 홍콩 공항 활주로 3단계 증설 프로젝트, 파라과이 대륙 간 철도 건설 프로젝트(30억 달러 규모) 등 우리 기업의 참여 가능성이 큰 프로젝트가 여럿 선보인다. 특히 홍콩 공항 활주로 증설 프로젝트는 DCM공법(심층혼합처리공법, Deep CementMixing Method)을 보유한 국내 건설기업의 수주가 유력한 것으로 알려지며 업계의 관심이 높아지고 있다.

이밖에도 베트남 손 마이(Son My) LNG의 수입 터미널 건설 프로젝트(35억 달러 규모)와 태국 오렌지 라인 이스트 지하철 프로젝트(35억 달러 규모) 등 74건의 유망 프로젝트에 대한 일대일 프로젝트 수주 상담이 추진된다.

특히 세계적 EPC사인 스페인 OHL, 일본 치요다(CHIYODA), 터키 테페(TEPE)건설 등은 우리 기업들과의 프로젝트 공동 수주 가능성을 논의한다. 행사에 참석한 국내 건설사 관계자는 “프로젝트 공동 수주를 통해 프로젝트 리스크를 줄이고 수익성을 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 이날 대한전문건설협회는 카자흐스탄 최대 건설사인 BI그룹과 프로젝트 진출협력을 위한 MOU를 체결한다. 이번 MOU는 국내 중소 건설사의 해외 건설 수주 확대를 위한 조치로, 협회는 이번 MOU를 계기로 국내 전문 건설기업의 카자흐스탄 프로젝트 진출이 더욱 확대될 것으로 전망했다.

이날 문재도 산업부 제2차관은 환영사에서 “이번 행사를 통해 발주국와 수주국이 상생할 수 있는 기회가 창출될 것”이라며, “국내 플랜트의 수출 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해 기자재 기술개발, 전문인력 양성, 수주지원센터 운영 등 지원을 아끼지 않을 것”이라고 밝혔다.
또한 김재홍 KOTRA 사장은 “단기간에 성과 창출이 유력한 프로젝트 발주기관을 집중적으로 초청하고, IT 융합 건설 프로젝트 등 차세대 먹거리와 EPC사와의 협력을 확대하는데 중점을 두었다”며 “다양한 시도를 통해 국내 기업의 해외 프로젝트 참여 기회를 확대하기 위해 노력할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

글로벌 자동차 업계, 한국 車 부품 쇼핑 나선다
글로벌 자동차 업계의 큰 손들이 우리나라 자동차 부품을 구매하기 위해 대거 방한한다. KOTRA(사장 김재홍)는 4일부터 이틀간 인천 송도 컨벤시아에서 산업통상자원부, 인천광역시, 인천경제진흥원과 공동으로 ‘2015 국제수송기계부품산업전(Global Transportech 2015)’을 개최한다. 이번 전시․상담회는 국내 전시회 중 유일한 OEM 중심 B2B 수출 마케팅 플랫폼으로, 우리나라 자동차부품 업계의 해외 진출 촉진에 기여하고 있다.

올해 9회째를 맞이하는 이번 행사에는 구매력이 큰 매출액 1억 달러 이상의 글로벌 기업 122개사를 포함해 총 37개국에서 220여 개사의 바이어와 국내 전시기업 141개사가 참가한다. 대표적인 참가 바이어로는 GM, 폭스바겐, 아우디 등 글로벌 완성차 업체와 콘티넨탈, 보쉬, 마그나 등 대형 벤더기업, 어드밴스 오토 파츠(Advance Auto Parts), 다콤사(Dacomsa) 등 대형 유통기업이 있다.

세계 3위 완성차 제조업체이며 한국기업 300개사 이상이 직납하고 있는 GM은 올해 엔진 및 파워트레인, 차체부품의 소싱을 희망하고 있다. 세계 3위 오일펌프 생산업체인 스택폴(Stackpole)은 아시아 자동차 시장 진출을 위해 한국을 비롯한 현지 소싱을 확대할 계획이다.

폭스바겐은 신임 한국구매사무소장을 비롯한 독일 본사와 중국 법인의 구매 담당자 10여 명이 방한해, 부대행사로 ‘한-독 오토포럼(Autoforum)’을 개최해 구매정책설명회와 일대일 상담을 병행한다. 중남미 최대 애프터마켓 자동차부품 유통업체인 멕시코의 다콤사(Dacomsa)도 사장을 포함한 다수의 경영진이 참가해 한국 협력업체 개발에 전력을 다할 예정이다.

또한 KOTRA는 올해 처음으로 한국 차체 경량화 기술의 글로벌화를 위해 ‘자동차 경량화 테마관’을 운영하고 ‘자동차 신기술 포럼’을 개최한다. 테마관과 포럼은 ‘21세기 산업의 쌀‘이라고 불리는 미래핵심부품소재인 탄소섬유를 주제로 운영되며, LG 하우시스, 효성, 한국탄소융합기술원이 참가한다.

한편 이번 전시에는 인천광역시, 경상북도, 충청남도, 테크노파크 및 한국산업단지공단 등 15개 기관이 공동관을 구성해 참가, 지방 부품기업의 수출확대를 지원한다. 대우 인터내셔널과 현대 모비스도 대․중소 상생협력관을 운영해 각 협력사의 전시 참가를 지원한다. 김재홍 KOTRA 사장은 “미국 및 서유럽의 경기회복세와 유가 반등 등 경기 호조요인으로 인해 해외 수요가 확대되는 시점을 놓치지 말아야 한다”고 강조하고, “이번 전시․상담회를 통해 우리 기업들이 완성차 및 대형 벤더들의 현지 조달 확대 기조를 적극 공략할 수 있도록 지원할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

$120M worth global promising projects from 33 countries gathered at one place. KOTRA and the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy (MOTIE) held '2015 Global Project Plaza' at Lotte Hotel, Jamsill, Seoul for 3 days from June 9. The event was for the Korean plant-related enterprises to enter overseas market. The event was participated by 70 officials of 55 ordering agencies from 33 countries and 500 related people in Korea. The event provided briefings in the four fields which are 'transportation infrastructure', 'energy & plant', 'smart city' and 'EPC partnering' as well as 1 to 1 project consultation for both foreign participants and Korean SMEs. The projects include '3 stage expanding project of Hongkong Airport Runway' and 'Cross Continental Railway Project' worth $3B in which Korean companies can likely participate. The airport project in particular weighs in Korean companies favor as we have DCM (Deep CementMixing Method) technology. The event also carried out consultations relating to 74 projects including 'Son My LNG (Vietnam)' Terminal Construction Project' worth $3.5B and 'Thailand's Orange Line East Subway Project' worth $3.5B.

In addition, Spain's OHL, Japan's CHIYODA and Turkey's TEPE discussed about joint ordering with Korean companies. An official of the event said "we expect to reduce project risk and increase profits through joint ordering." Meanwhile, KOSCA signed a MOU with BI Group (Pakistan) for a co-project. This would enable Korean SMEs to take more orders from overseas market as well as enter the Pakistani market. Moon Jae-do, Second Vice Minister of MOTIE said "the event would create win-win cooperation between ordering countries and receiving countries. We would provide unsparing support for our SMEs in equipment development technology, manpower and making a deal." Kim Jae-hong, President of KOTRA said "we would actively invite promising ordering agencies which can create a short term profit and focus on promoting cooperation between IT/construction companies and food/EPC companies to provide more opportunities for Korean companies to participate in various projects."

Global car companies to shop at Korean car parts market
A group of global companies visited Korea to buy car parts. KOTRA, MOTIE, Incheon City and Incheon Business Agency held 'Global Transportech 2015' at Songdo Convensia for 2 days from June 4. The event is Korea's first OEM-centered B2B marketing platform and is contributing to promoting domestic car parts companies. As the 9th event this year, 122 world major companies with more than $100M sales, buyers of 220 companies from 37 companies including GM, Volkswagen, Audi, Continental, Bosch, Magna, Advance Auto Parts and Dacomsa, 
as well as 141 domestic companies participated. As the world's third complete auto maker and receiving car parts from more than 300 Korean companies, GM is hoping to outsource engine, power train and car body. The world's third oil pump production company Stackpole is also planning to expand outsourcing to enter Asian market including Korea. In addition, 10 buyers of Volkswagen visited Korea to hold 'Korea-Germany Autoforum' and provided 'buying policy briefings' and '1 to 1 consultation'. CEO and board members of Mexico's Dacomsa also participated in the event to find partner companies. 

KOTRA ran 'light weigh car theme hall' in this year's event in the hope of popularizing Korea's light weigh car technology alongside holding 'new technology forum for vehicles'. Theme halls and forums were carried out with carbon fiber as the main subject which is the core material of future components and LG Houses, Hyosung Corporation and Korea Institute of Carbon Convergence Technology participated. 15 institutions including Incheon Metropolitan City, North Gyeongsang Province, South Chungcheon Province, Techno Park and Korea Industrial Complex Corp also co-ran a booth to support regional parts companies. In addition, Daewoo International and Hyundai Mobis supported their partner SMEs in the event. Kim Jae-hong, President of KOTRA said "we should not miss this opportunity as the US and western Europe are showing an upturn in the economy and this event would support and promote car parts related domestic companies to global market as the demand is increasing at the moment."
