‘빅데이터’의 개념은 다양한 정보 중 개개인에게 필요한 정보를 선별하는 것이다. 지금까지는 반복된 검색어에 부합하는 것을 추천하는 기능이었지만, 매년 급변하는 상황까지 업데이트된 최신 정보를 제공하는 ICT 융합기술을 기반한 빅데이터는 새로운 정보기술을 창출하고 있다. 정보의 바다에 깔린 모래 속 진주 찾기는 점차 희망적이다. 여기서 사용자의 편의를 위해 이러한 정보기술의 역량을 한층 높이고 있는 ㈜클릭포유 김진수 대표를 만나본다.

교육, 제약 계 사용자를 위한 최적의 지적 데이터 제공
㈜클릭포유는 IT계열을 포함한 다양한 분야의 지적/지식재산권과 창업보육, 기술자문역량을 통해 ICT(빅데이터, 모바일, 웨어러블 기술의 융합)산업의 특허출원 11건, 특허이전 6건 등을 보유한 연구개발회사이다. 흔히 빅데이터 기술을 검색어의 추천광고 노출이나 휴대전화 인공지능 정도로 생각하는 경우가 많은데, 그 빅데이터를 기반으로 일상에 접목한 솔루션이 가능한 단계까지 발전했다. 김진수 대표는 2년 전 학부모 입장에서 자녀의 대학입학전형 정보와 자료를 검색하는 과정에서 ‘데이터의 정리와 제공’이라는 개념을 적용시키는 아이디어를 얻었다고 한다. “예를 들어 수험생의 89%에 해당하는 3등급 이하 학생들을 원하는 전형에 맞게 지원시키기가 어렵다. 한 해 적응하면 다음 해의 입시요강이 바뀌어서 학원과 담임교사에게도 어려운 일이다. 그래서 빅데이터 관련 산업에 종사한 노하우를 이용해 사업화 구상에 들어갔다” 정부의 R&D과제 이행이라는 바늘구멍을 통과하기는 어려웠지만, 덕분에 자체개발을 할 수 있었고 대입 맞춤전형 ‘캠퍼스4U’가 탄생했다. ㈜클릭포유는 이외에도 주력서비스로 맞춤 건강기능식품 추천서비스인 ‘푸드4U’를 밀고 있다. IoT에 기반을 둔 기업 온라인 리스크 통합관제 서비스인 ‘ITSM4U’, ICT융합 및 기술사업화를 서포트하는 ‘CLICK4U’ 서비스도 제공하며, 모두 관련정보를 빅데이터를 ICT와 결합해 접근성과 편리함에서 우월하다는 평가를 받는다.

“전국 대학 및 학과, 그리고 8만 7천여 종 학과별 전형정보가 수록되고 대학 공시정보를 반영한 교육부의 대학알리미 정보에도 연계되어 있다. 정보의 분석은 ‘캠퍼스4U’의 경우 교육청의 자료를 기반으로 구성했다. 사교육상담은 비용과 시간싸움이다. 또 민간 쪽에 DB를 협조해주는 기관, 대형 포털 및 통신사들과 협연하여 장기적으로 상생할 수 있는 파트너십을 생각하고 있다” 현재 인터넷으로 네이버 검색엔진에 등록된 ‘캠퍼스4U’는 페이스북, 블로그와 연동되어 사회 배려가 필요한 계층에게는 무료로, 일반 유저들에게는 경제적인 비용으로 제공할 계획이다. 또한 정보의 이용이 우선이며, 마법사 수행기능을 추가해 무료 이용의 기회를 주고, 이메일 주소만 요구하기 때문에 유저들의 개인정보 유출과 같은 부작용을 차단하는 시스템완성 및 라이센싱, 안정적인 해외시장 진출이 최종 목표라고 한다. 

수요자를 만족, 안심시키는 시스템과 수익구조 모델 제시할 것
백수오 파동으로 홈쇼핑, 인터넷쇼핑에 대한 불신이 커져가는 가운데, 기업의 일방 통행식 정보제공보다는 스스로 맞춤형 건강식품을 찾겠다는 목소리가 높다. 그래서 ‘푸드4U’에 대한 기대도 높아간다. 김 대표가 기업의 두 번째 효자상품으로 밀고 있으며 건강식품의 각 기능과 제품별 함량비율, 영양소의 이상적인 비율에 대한 시뮬레이션이 가능하다. 보통 건강기능식품이 인증을 받고 일반인들에게 시판되기까지 기획에서 마케팅, 연구개발과 제조 판매를 거치는 동안 임상적 시험단계에서 많은 시간과 비용이 소모된다. 그래서 빅데이터를 이용한 시뮬레이션이 혁신적인 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다. 식약처의 1만 7천여 종의 제품과 함량정보, 한국인의 영양섭취기준량과 식약처가 고시하고 개별 인정한 원료 197종, 전국 400여 개 건강기능식품 제조사 자료가 기본 자료로 포함되어 있기 때문이다. 한 마디로 결혼정보회사의 매칭서비스처럼 각 개인에게 유익한 원료들을 추천하고 정보를 주는 것이다.

“함량비교 같은 정보는 우리가 거의 유일하게 제공한다고 자부할 수 있다. 알레르기 같은 이유로 어떤 표시성분을 피하고 싶을 때도 있다. 개인고객은 물론 일반 기업이 신제품 출시를 준비할 때 성분을 매칭 할 수 있는 시뮬레이션이 가능하다” 김 대표에게는 개인 외에도 기업을 위한 국제표준 솔루션인 네트워크, 서버 환경 모니터링과 장애파악, 문제의 사전 예방을 제공하는 시스템을 업그레이드할 계획이 있다. 그것이 바로 10년 전 개인 사업을 할 때 기술과 노하우를 모두 구축한 ‘ITSM4U’이다. 또 ‘RISK4U’로 알려진 기술은 대기업들과 B2B형태로 만든 국민은행, 농협 등 제 1금융권의 고객지원관리 관제시스템이라 한다. 융합기술협회, 위즈덤교육포럼에서 활동하며 한국 IT융합기술협회의 기술자문인 김 대표는 ㈜클릭포유의 이익창출에 대해, 사용자들의 이용료, 회원가입비 같은 1차적인 수단보다는 많은 사용자를 유입시켜 파생되는 기업광고, 배너광고, 뉴스로 인한 수익을 통해 얻게 될 것이라고 한다. 빅데이터 시장은 국내에서 아직 초보 단계이고 데이터 구축으로 소비자가 얼마나 효과를 보는지 체감하고 수치화하는 단위도 없다. 그래서 보급과 맞춤형 정보에 주력할 예정이다. “광고 쪽에서 문제가 되는 개인정보 판매는 없을 것이다. 학부모들은 정보를 잘 이용해서 자녀의 대학 선택과 알맞은 전형을 고르는 것에만 신경 쓰면 된다” 지금까지는 공급자 중심으로 일방적인 주입이었지만, 이제는 수요자 중심의 선택, 집중, 융합의 정보에서 헤엄칠 수 있게 됐다. 이제, 지식의 패러다임 이동, 수요자를 위한 수익구조로 승부하고자 하는 ㈜클릭포유의 잠재력에 더욱 주목할 때다.

CLICK4U is a R&D firm which has 11 patents applications and 6 patents transfer in relation with ICT (big data, mobile and wearable technology) achieved through their know-how in IT, intellectual properties and start-up. Big data is normally understood as an advertisement on search words or artificial intelligence of mobile phones. Kim was struck with an idea about 'categorizing and providing data' when he was looking for information about university entrance exam for his children 2 years ago. Kim says "it's difficult for both teachers and 89% of students who have grade 3 to analyse university exam trend because the requirements are changed almost every year. This is where I found a niche market."

Kim developed the program by himself and introduced a customized university entrance exam analysis program 'Campus4U' to the world, which soon after, followed by a health food recommendation program 'Food4U'. Kim also provides ITSM4U (IoT-based business online risk control service), and CLICK4U (ICT convergence & business support service). Kim is praised for the convenience and accessibility of the systems he built which combined big date with ICT. Kim says "our systems are connected to each department of universities nationwide, the exam trends of 87,000 academic departments and the university information of the Ministry of Education. The contents and analysis of Campus4U is based on the materials of the Ministry of Education.

I'm also planning to work in cooperation with various related organizations such as portal sites and telecommunication companies which can support data base." CLICK4U only requires your email address for their services to protect personal information from being exposed. Meanwhile, Kim is ambitious to enter the global market with their topnotch system over Korea. 

Introducing customer-friendly system and sustainable profits system
Due to the recent bad practices of online and home shopping regarding Cynanchum wilfordii, consumers are now looking for more customized information on healthy food. In this respect, Food4U is a good platform for consumers to find the healthy food they want as it can provide details on each food's functions, ratio of contents and ideal ratio of nutritions through a simulation program. It takes a lot of time and money for health functional food to be released in the market. But the simulation can make it easy for you to find information about the food as Food4U has detailed information on 17,000 foods controled the Ministry of Food and Durgs Safety, 197 certified raw materials, basic amount of taking nutrition for Korean people and the basic information of 400 health food related companies in Korea. In a word, Food4U can compare to match making services providers. Kim says "we are probably the only provider of 'content comparison'. This can enable both private and business to compare and match content before they buy or release the food products." Meanwhile, Kim plans to upgrade their system to global level standard in network, server environment monitoring, solution and prevention of problems for business purpose. This is the system ITSM4U which Kim built when he ran his own business 10 years ago.

Also, Kim said that the technology known as RISK4U is a customer service & management control system which is used in major corporations and B2B type major banks such as Kookmin Bank and NH Bank. Kim is currently active in Convergence Technology Association and Wisdom Education Forum and serving as a technical advisor of Korea IT Convergence Technology Association. Kim said that CLICK4U will generate profits through corporate advertisements, banners and news rather than the monthly fee or membership fee. Big data market in Korea is still in its infancy and there is no related standard. For this reason, Kim focuses on dissemination and customized information of big data. Kim added "we will not sell personal information through our business. School parents don't need to worry about it but just have information they need for their sons and daughters through our services." If we say that information was provided by businesses in the past, it is now provided based on consumer's needs and demands and CLICK4U will take the initiative in this new market.
