미래부 대학ICT연구센터 및 방송통신정책연구센터 신규 공고
미래창조과학부 최양희 장관은 창조경제 핵심성과 창출을 위한 ‘K-ICT 전략’의 일환으로, 정보통신기술분야 혁신을 주도할 창의적 고급인재 양성을 위해 ‘15년도 ｢대학ICT연구센터(8개)｣ 및 ｢방송통신정책연구센터(2개)｣ 등 10개 센터를 공모한다고 밝혔다. 이는 창조경제 실현을 위한 ICT 산업의 고도화 및 신(新)시장 분야 일자리 창출을 위해 창의성과 문제해결 능력을 겸비한 ICT 분야에서 우수한 인재를 집중 육성하겠다는 취지다. ｢대학ICT연구센터｣ 지원사업*은 ICT분야 고급인력의 안정적 공급 및 산업체와의 공동연구를 통한 산･학 협력의 구심점 역할을 수행하기 위해 센터당 연(年) 6∼8억원씩, 최대 6년간 지원하게 된다. 총 293억원, ICT분야 38개 센터 지원(계속센터 30개, 신규센터 8개) 또한, ｢방송통신정책연구센터｣ 지원사업은 ICT분야별 정책개발 및 ICT 융합혁신을 주도할 수 있는 분야를 중점 지원하기 위해 센터당 연(年) 3억원 규모로 최대 4년간 지원하게 된다. 총 17억원, 방송통신융합분야 5개 센터 지원(계속센터 3개, 신규센터 2개) 금년도 ｢대학ICT연구센터｣ 및 ｢방송통신정책연구센터｣ 신규 선정으로, 연간 450여명의 학생과 30개 이상의 기업이 수혜를 받을 것으로 기대된다. ｢대학ICT연구센터｣ 사업은 ▲양자통신 ▲홀로그램 ▲IoT보안 ▲SW공학 분야 등 총 4개 센터를 지정공모로 선정하고, 대학의 창의적 연구 강화를 위해 4개 센터는 자유공모로 선정할 예정이다. 또한, ｢방송통신정책연구센터｣ 사업은 ▲인터넷사이언스 ▲스마트미디어･실감형 영상 콘텐츠 등 총 2개 센터를 지정공모로 선정할 예정이다.  이번 공모는 평가와 선정단계를 거쳐 오는 6월부터 본격 지원할 예정이다. 

미래창조과학부 2015년 과학기술 진로교육주간 운영
미래창조과학부 최양희 장관과 과학기술인재 진로지원센터는 과학기술 진로․직업에 대한 학생들의 흥미와 이해를 높이고 진로탐색을 돕기 위해 지난달 13일부터 17일까지「빛 분야 과학기술 진로교육주간」을 운영했다. 「과학기술 진로교육주간」은 “국민 개개인의 역량을 적극 개발할 수 있는 환경을 만들기 위해 초․중․고등학생에게 진로․직업교육을 충분히 제공”토록 할 것이라는 대통령 언급에 따라 과학기술 분야의 미래 유망직업 정보와 다양한 유형의 진로체험․탐색 프로그램을 제공하고 있으며, 4월 ‘과학기술인재 진로지원센터’를 개소하고 나서 작년 한 해 동안 「과학기술 진로교육주간」에 12개 기관 및 114명의 전문가가 참여하였고, 초․중․고등학생 및 대학생 약 1만여명이 「과학기술 진로교육주간」을 통해 진로를 탐색하는 기회를 가졌다.  2015 세계 빛의 해”를 맞이하여 실생활 속 ‘빛’의 중요성과 응용분야에 대한 이해와 흥미를 높일 수 있는 맞춤형 프로그램으로 운영된다. 특히, ‘빛’은 생활, 예술, 환경 뿐 아니라 의료, 국방 등과 관련된 핵심 과학기술분야임에도 불구하고 해당 정보와 관련 직업들이 잘 알려지지 않아, 이번 진로교육주간을 통해 미래 유망분야인 광유전학, 광섬유, 조명예술 등 관련 다양한 진로콘텐츠를 제공했다. 미래부 관계자는 “「빛 분야 과학기술 진로교육주간」을 통해 학생들이 미래 유망 직업들을 체험하여 빛 관련 진로에 대해 꿈을 키우는 기회가 되길 바란다”며, “2015년에도 「과학기술 진로교육주간」은 지속적으로 실시될 예정이며 더욱 많은 학생들이 참여할 수 있도록 다양한 프로그램을 준비했다”고 밝혔다. 

Ministry, inviting university ICT R&D center and broadcasting R&D center
The Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning Yanghee Choi invites 8 centers for university ICT R&D and 2 centers for broadcasting R&D as part of K-ICT Strategy in order to foster talented people who will lead the ICT industry. The talented people are expected to have capability to upgrade the ICT industry and to create jobs. The university ICT R&D centers will carry out industry-academic cooperation and each center will be supported of $600,000 to $800,000 per year for 6 years. The broadcasting R&D centers will carry out policy development of the ICT field and ICT convergence and each center will be supported $300,000 for maximum 4 years. This project will bring benefits to 450 university students and 30 enterprises per year. The 4 projects of the university ICT R&D centers include 'quantum communications', 'hologram', 'IoT security' and 'SW engineering' and the other 4 projects will be decided according to each center's ideas. The 2 projects of the broadcasting R&D centers include 'internet science' and 'smart media and real imaging contents'. The candidates will be decided through assessment and the support will be started from June.

Ministry, running 2015 Science Technology Career Training Week
The Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning Yanghee Choi and Science Technology Career Support Center ran 2015 Lights and Science Technology Career Training Week from 13 to 17 last month to increase students interest in science technology for their future career. The Week is part of President Park's will to provide enough career path training for elementary, middle and high school students and students can have useful and practical information about the science technology industry through the Week. Since the opening of Science Technology Career Support Center in April,  12 organizations and 114 specialists have participated in the Week and approximately 10,000 students have had an opportunity to map out their career path. As 2015 is the year of light, related programs will also be running. Light is closely related to our lives, art, environment, medicine and national security but the related jobs are unfamiliar to the public. For this, the Week provided information on optical genetics, optical fiber and light arts which are promising jobs in the future. An official of the ministry said "we hope many students will grow their dream through the Week and we will keep holding the event with a variety of programs so that more students can participate."
