서구화된 고칼로리 위주의 식단과 스트레스, 잘못된 생활 습관은 우리 몸을 산성화 시키고 있다. 건강한 인체의 혈액은 pH 7.35~7.45 약알칼리성을 유지한다. 하지만 pH가 낮아져 혈액이 산성화되기 시작하면 인체의 밸런스가 무너지며 약 200여 가지의 질병에 노출될 위험이 급격히 증가하게 된다. 비품고급화 솔루션기업인 피에이치7은 우리 몸의 건강상태를 나타내는 pH 농도 측정을 편리하게 도와주는 제품을 출시하며 주목을 받고 있다.

타액 속 pH 농도 측정으로 ‘건강 체크’
우리 몸은 항상성을 유지하도록 구성되어 있다. 36.5도 내외의 체온, 약 65%의 수분, pH 7.35의 산도가 유지되어야 건강한 상태라고 볼 수 있다. 더운 곳에서 땀이 나고, 추울 때 몸이 떨리는 이유도 이러한 항상성을 유지하기 위한 인체의 작용이다. 하지만 내·외부적 요인에 의해 항상성이 깨지면 인체는 질병에 노출되기 쉬운 상태가 되어버린다. 그 중에서도 pH 농도는 인체의 다양한 이상상태를 나타내는 가장 중요한 지표 중 하나이다. 

이러한 pH를 측정하기 위한 가장 손쉬운 방법은 ‘타액’을 이용하는 것이다. 타액은 일일 주기, 음식, 신체활동, 컨디션, 세균 등 우리 몸의 다양한 정보를 알려준다. 윤관식 대표는 “우리 몸의 pH를 측정하는 방법은 타액, 혈액, 뇌척수액을 이용하는 것이 있습니다. 그 중 가장 간편한 것은 타액을 pH측정지라는 종이에 묻혀 그 색상변화를 살펴보는 방법인데요. 녹색이 나타나면 정상, 어두운 파란색이나 검은색을 띈다면 알칼리성, 노란색에 가까울수록 몸의 산도가 산성에 가깝다고 볼 수 있습니다”라고 설명했다. 인체의 pH 농도는 우리가 흔히 생각하는 것보다 훨씬 중요한 정보들을 담고 있다. 알칼리화의 경우 소화 장애, 저위산증, 과호흡 등을 의심해볼 수 있으며, 산성의 경우 소화 흡수 장애, 필수 지방산 결핍, 만성 스트레스 등을 의심해볼 수 있다. 특히 pH농도가 4.5 가까이로 내려갔을 때에는 암과의 연관성을 의심해봐야 한다고 한다.

비품 마케팅이 호텔 서비스의 품격 높인다
피에이치7에서는 누구나 손쉽게 pH측정을 할 수 있도록 일회용 칫솔포장에 pH 검사지를 포함한 상품을 개발했다. 제품에 포함된 pH 검사지는 영국의 전문기업인 ‘Johnson Test Papers Ltd’에서 70년간 연구·제작된 것이다. 타액으로 손쉽게 신체 컨디션을 확인할 수 있는 이 제품은 호텔이나 모텔 등의 숙박업소에 비치할 수 있는 프리미엄 비품으로서의 역할도 하게 될 것으로 기대되고 있다.

윤 대표는 “저희 제품은 호텔 측에는 고객에 대한 프리미엄 서비스 제공을 통해 마케팅 효과를 극대화할 수 있으며, 고객 측에는 초기 자가진단이 가능한 의료서비스를 제공할 수 있습니다”라고 강조했다. 그는 이에 덧붙여 “pH 측정법의 경우 그 간편함과 정확성에도 불구하고 아직 우리나라에는 잘 알려져 있지 않은 상태입니다. 좀 더 많은 분들이 타액을 주기적으로 점검 및 관리함으로써 효과적으로 건강을 관리할 수 있도록 노력하겠습니다”라고 밝혔다. 

우리의 삶에서 ‘건강’의 가치는 그 무엇보다 중요하다. 보다 많은 이들에게 건강관리의 중요성을 알리고자 노력하고 있는 피에이치7의 앞으로의 행보를 지켜보자.

Our body is designed to maintain homeostasis. We call our body healthy when it keeps around 36.5 ℃ temperature, 65% of water and 7.35pH. The body creates sweat when hot and shivers when cold because it tries to maintain the standard. When the balance is broken, it means that we are exposed to disease. The concentration of pH among them is the most important index to indicate the state of our body. The easiest way to check pH is to use saliva. It provides us information about food, physical activities, condition and germs in our body. Yoon says "we can use saliva, blood and the cerebrospinal fluid to check pH. The easiest way is to put saliva on the pH measuring paper and see the change of its color. Green indicates normal, dark blue or black alkalinity and yellow closer to acidity." pH contains far more information than we know. Alkalinity can cause indigestion, low stomach acid and over respiration, and acidity can cause indigestion-absorbtion disorder, and deficient syndrome of essential fatty acid and chronic stress. When it goes down to 4.5, there is a possibility that we have a cancer.

ph7 developed a ph measuring kit that can be easily used by a simple packaging. The pH measuring paper in the kit was developed by Johnson Test Papers Ltd (UK) through 70 years of R&D. We can check the concentration of pH with our saliva and it is expected to be used in motels or hotels as a premium health equipment. Yoon says "our product can provide hotel with premium services and guests with self medical examination." He added "despite its accuracy and simplicity to use it is still not very well known in Korea. We will do our best to promote this beneficial health equipment in Korea so that people can effectively manage their health." 

The value of our health is more important than any other things in our lives and ph7 is doing its best to contribute to spreading the importance of self medical examination.
