박근혜 대통령, 경찰대학생 및 간부후보생 합동임용식 참석

지난달 18일 오후, 경기도 용인에 소재한 경찰대학교 대강당에서는 ‘경찰대학생’과 ‘간부후보생’들의 합동임용식을 시작으로 청년경찰들이 힘찬 첫 걸음을 내딛었다. 경찰대학생과 간부후보생은 이제껏 별개의 졸업 및 임용식을 치루어 왔지만 올해에는 창경 70주년을 맞이해 경찰 최초로 합동 임용식을 개최함으로써 많은 이들의 이목을 집중시켰다. 박근혜 대통령은 축사를 통해 희망의 새 경찰로 나서는 경찰대학생과 간부후보생들을 격려하고, 나라와 국민을 위해 헌신하고, 봉사해 줄 것을 당부했다.

“많은 사람들이 다양한 경로를 거쳐 경찰로 입직하지만, 국민을 위해 헌신하고 봉사한다는 사명감은 하나입니다. 그것이 바로 나라를 위한 길입니다.”
박근혜 대통령은 “영예로운 대한민국 경찰로 힘찬 첫 걸음을 내딛는 여러분의 임용을 진심으로 축하합니다.”라며, 새로이 임용되는 경찰대학생과 간부후보생들에게 축하의 인사를 건넸다. 더불어, 많은 사람들이 다양한 경로를 거쳐 경찰로 입직하지만 국민을 위해 헌신하고 봉사한다는 사명감은 하나일 것이라며 임용식을 통해 14만 경찰이 한 마음으로 단합하여, 국민들의 안전에 대한 무한한 책임을 다해줄 것을 당부했다.

한편, 올해는 조국광복과 함께 태어난 경찰이 70주년을 맞이하는 뜻 깊은 해로 박 대통령은 그동안 우리 경찰이 수많은 시련과 열악한 근무환경 속에서도 건국과 호국, 그리고 민주경찰로서 그 책무를 다해왔다며 국민 속으로 나아가 선배들이 이룩한 훌륭한 업적과 전통을 더욱 크게 계승·발전 시켜주기 바란다고 말했다.

박근혜 대통령이 지난 달 13일 오전 동대문디자인플라자(DDP)에서 열린 ‘제20주년 케이블TV의 날’ 기념식에 참석했다. 이번 기념식은 케이블TV 출범 20주년을 맞아 ‘행복나눔 20년, 더 큰 세상으로’라는 슬로건 아래에 개최되었다. 박 대통령은 격려사를 통해, 지난 1995년 출범한 이래 괄목할만한 성장과 변화를 이끈 케이블TV가 앞으로의 방송 산업 발전에도 앞장서 줄 것을 당부했다.
“글로벌 경쟁력을 갖춘 방송콘텐츠 제작과 차세대 방송·통신서비스의 제공을 선도하면서 우리 방송 산업의 성장과 변화를 이끌어 오신 케이블 TV 관계자 여러분께 깊이 감사를 드립니다.”

박 대통령은 지난 1995년 24개 채널로 출범한 케이블 TV가 ‘전문성’과 ‘독창성’을 갖춘 260여개 채널로 크게 발전해왔다고 언급하며, 케이블TV의 슈퍼스타K나 MAMA와 같은 창의적이고 차별화된 콘텐츠가 ‘한류문화’로 정착하며, 엄청난 경제적 효과를 창출하고 있다고 전했다. 또 세계 최초의 UHD 상용 방송서비스를 시작하고, 광대역 통합망을 구축해 초고속인터넷 서비스를 제공하는 등 적극적인 투자로 새로운 기술의 탄생에 기여하고 있는 케이블 TV에 대해 감사의 뜻을 전했다.

박 대통령은 “지난 20년간 땀과 열정으로 새로운 길을 열어 오신 여러분이 우리 문화융성과 창조경제의 주역으로 더 큰 꿈을 펼쳐나가고, 대한민국의 문화와 산업을 잇는 길에 나서 주실 것을 부탁드립니다.”라며, 다시 한 번 케이블TV 출범 20주년을 축하했다.

'2015 Joint Appointment Ceremony of Korea National Police University Students and Cadets' was held at Korea National Police University in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province on 18 last month. The students and cadets usually held graduation and appointment ceremonies separately but they held it together this year on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of establishing The Police Force. In her congratulatory speech, Park encouraged them and asked their devotion and services for the people and the country by saying "many people enter the police force through various routes but the vow to devote themselves to the country and the people is one. And that is the way of loving one's own country." Park continued "I congratulate you all on serving the country as honorable policemen of Korea and I ask 14,000 policemen to work together to build a safe Korea." Park added that this year celebrates the 70 anniversary of establishing Korea Police Force and many Korean officers have devoted their lives to building a safe and better society despite harsh work conditions, and she asked them to learn from those senior officers' great achievements and traditions and to deliver them to the next generations. 

Park attends 'The 20th Anniversary of Cable TV'
Park attended 'The 20th Anniversary of Cable TV' held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza on 13 last month. The event was held under the slogan of '20 Years of Happiness Sharing, Towards Bigger World'. In her words of encouragement, Park asked Cable TV to take the initiative in developments of the Korean broadcasting industry by saying "I thank those hard working people of Cable TV who has been leading the changes and developments of the broadcasting industry in Korea with globally competitive broadcasting contents and next generation communication services" Park mentioned that Cable TV started with 24 channels in 1995 and made them grow to be 260 channels with professionalism and creativity and their differentiated contents are creating a significant contribution to our economy by introducing Cable TV super stars such as K and MAMA in the context of the Korean Wave. She also delivered her gratitude that Cable TV started the world's first UHD broadcasting services and has built Broadband Convergence Network through active investments to provide high speed internet services. Park added "I ask you to take the initiative in Creative Economy and cultural prosperity of Korea."
