Dreaming of becoming the best shoes brand in Korea
People sometimes call shoes as the second heart to express their importance. Good shoes provides convenience in terms of technology and personality in design. There are many kinds of shoes such as sneakers for exercise, shoes for formal occasions, casual shoes to express one's personality and they are becoming more diversified and functionalized. Juyong Park, the CEO of Nex Q, knows very well about the fact that left foot is different from right one and is working really hard to make shoes that can satisfy both practicality and design with close-fitting as the basic. 

From a singer of 'First Love' to being the CEO of Next Q
Park is a singer and a producer from South Gyeongsang Province. But he also showed a great interest in design and fashion. He was observing the transition with much regret that the Korean shoes industry was eroding by the Filipino and Chinese ones due to their cheap labor and market competitiveness, and this made him decide to found a Korean shoes company to provide quality Korean shoes. People around him were worried about Park as Korea's labor cost is quite high but Park nevertheless launched the business with his self conviction that 'our brand is more important than making profits'. He made high quality shoes despite high labor cost and his products became second to none in price and quality when compared to foreign brands. Park and his staff worked hard with one mind to make light and comfortable shoes and when new shoes were finally made Park himself wore them for a month to check their quality and practicality before the release of the shoes. And the popularity of Next Q was rapidly spread from mouth to mouth and Park used his celebrity presence for marketing to commercialize the products. He used advanced material only and spent day and night in research and development of design and color of shoes based on the scientific fact that left and right feet are not identical. Their hard work eventually bore fruit that they became popular and started exporting the product to China. 

Promoting pride of Korean shoes through constant challenge
Next Q opened the first branch at Kihyung Rest Area recently, and the second one in Pohand in February and the third one in Changwon in March. Park makes it easy for store owners to run the business; there is no membership fee but he suggests the size of store more than 50 square meters in order to display a variety of products. Regarding interior design, the head office provides the basic frame of the space but interior can be done by each store according to their needs and taste. Park also allows only one store in each region to avoid competition between the same brand. Thanks to this careful and practical consideration, the number of inquiries about franchise is increasing significantly. Park's goal is to open 400 offline branches to spread Next Q nationwide. Under his management philosophy 'If the CEO work hard so does the staff', Park is working really hard to develop better products. Currently Next Q is preparing to launch clothes and accessories alongside shoes in the hope of expanding the business. Meanwhile, Park has been doing social contribution activities by donating part of his profits to society. For his contribution, Park received 'Presidential Social Contribution Service Award' on 7 December 2013. Park always consider others first, passionate about spreading quality Korean shoes, and works hard to make Next Q a global company.
