Post genome is called for the era after 2003 which was the year of decoding human base sequence of 'Human Genome Project' was completed. On 19 February 2014, Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy, Ministry of Health & Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs, Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, and Rural Development Administration announced 'Post Genome Multi-department Dielectric Project'. $570m will be invested in the project until 2021 to realize customized medicine through developing diagnosis & treatment methods and higher value life resources by using genetic information of plant & animal microorganism and marine organism. They also expect to secure a research foundation for dielectric analysis technique and to develop original technology and platform technology for boosting up its industrialization.
