직장에서의 마음 깊은 상처로 인하여 그녀는 삶의 끄트머리까지 생각을 했었다. 다행스럽게도 사건은 무사히 종결되었지만 자살까지 생각하던 그녀에게 당시의 일은 지울 수 없는 상처이자, 계속되는 아픔일 수밖에 없었다. 그 절망의 끝에서 그녀는 한 변호사를 만나게 되었다. 그리고 그녀는 현재, 그에게서 받은 관심과 사랑을 여러 사람에게 전해주는 강사로서 제2의 인생을 살고 있다. 어쩌면 그 전보다 훨씬 많은 꿈을 꾸게 되었는지도 모른다. 가족들이 보기에 이전보다 더 밝아진 그녀의 모습인지도 모른다. 현재로써 인생 자체가 바뀌게 된 그녀에게 그는 절망에서 만난 희망이자, 곱씹어볼수록 고마운 최선의 선택이었다.

마음을 달리 하게 된 계기
법무법인 창 김창환 변호사는 꽤 오랜 시간을 검사로서 활동을 했었다. 어릴 적부터 정의사회 구현을 꿈꾸며 법조인으로서의 길을 걷던 그는 주로 도박, 마약, 사행성 게임을 단속하는 일을 맡았었다. 그리고 그는 말미에 깊은 회의감을 느꼈다. 대한민국 검사만큼 업무량이 많은 직업도 없다는 말에 걸맞게 그는 8여 년간을 정말 열심히 범죄자를 척결하는 일에 헌신했었다. 하지만 그 헌신과는 반대로, 세상은 오히려 갈수록 흉악해지는 것에 그는 검사로서 깊은 고민에 빠지게 되었던 것이다. 젊은 나이에 당뇨병을 앓기까지였으니 당시 그가 감당해야했던 스트레스는 이루 표현할 수 없을 정도였으리라.

그렇게 답이 정해져 있지 않는 회의감에 젖어들 무렵, 그는 단월드 명상을 시작하게 되었고, 그때 접했던 일지 이승헌 총장(글로벌사이버대학교)의 저서 <뇌파진동>에서 ‘뇌에 저장된 정보의 질이 운명을 결정한다.’라는 한 구절을 마음 깊이 되새겼다. 뇌는 기억을 통해 인간을 지배하기 때문에 잘못된 정보를 많이 저장하고 있는 사람은 건강한 인생을 살아갈 수 없으며 부정적인 기억과 감정을 정화할 수 있어야 비로소 건강한 인생을 살아갈 수 있다는 의미였다. 

달리 되었더라면, 과연 지금의 꿈을 이룰 수 있었을까
표현이 다소 과할지라도 그 책의 문구는 김창환 변호사의 삶을 바꿔놓았던 것이 분명했다. 이후, 그가 피의자들을 취조하며 어떠한 죄를 지었는지 죄의 근원적인 부분을 추궁하기보다 어떤 인생을 살아왔는지, 뇌에 어떤 정보가 기록되어 있는지를 궁금해 했다는 것만으로도 변화를 감지할 수 있었다.

그들의 어린 시절을 물으며 만약 자기 자신도 그들이 겪은 환경을 똑같이 겪었다면 그는 지금과 같은 일을 할 수 있었을까. 솔직히 말해, 장담할 수 없는 일이었다. 김 변호사는 그 때부터 오랫동안 소망해왔던 정의사회구현은 법의 심판으로 범죄를 척결하는 것도 중요하지만 우선 인간의 인성을 회복하게 하는 것이 중요하다는 생각을 하게 되었다.

더불어 그가 새롭게 깨닫게 된 것은 어릴 적, 존중받지 못했던 환경에 의하여 평생 자신의 인생을 함부로 대해왔던 피의자들은 대부분 자신이 사회적 약자이고 을로써 살아간다는 피해의식을 가지고 있다는 것이었다. 생각에 생각을 더하여 그가 내린 결론은 단 하나였다. 모든 직업은 가치가 있기에 존중받아야 하는 직업민주주의가 실현되고, 청소년 교육부터 각자의 가치와 장점을 인정받고 키울 수 있는 교육민주주의가 실현되어야 한다는 생각까지 이르렀을 때, 그는 오랜 기간 맡아왔던 검사라는 직함을 내려놓을 수 있었다.

 
‘인성변호사’로서 그가 살아가는 법
인권은 반드시 지켜야 하는 것임이 분명하지만, 진정한 인권은 인성회복으로 자연스럽게 우러나오는 상호간의 존중에서부터 시작된다는 생각. 김창환 변호사는 스스로를 ‘인성변호사’라고 칭하고 있다. 그리고 새로운 시작과 동시에 ‘국민인성회복운동본부’를 만들어 그를 찾아오는 의뢰인과 주변 사람들이 스스로 자신의 가치를 존중할 수 있도록 도와주는 일부터 시작하게 되었다. 김창환 변호사가 이야기하는 인성회복의 방법은 아주 간단하다. 자신의 뇌는 이미 완벽하다는 것을 믿고, 자신의 뇌를 잘 조율하면 된다는 것이다. 내용의 이해를 돕기 위하여 <뇌파진동>에 나온 아주 쉽고 간단한 명상법(뇌파진동)을 함께 명시한다. 

“반가부좌나 책상다리를 하고 편안하게 앉아 눈을 감고, 어깨와 목에 힘을 빼고 도리도리 하듯이 고개를 좌우로 흔든다. 의식적으로 같은 동작을 반복하다가 생각이 끊기는 고요한 상태에서 자신의 뇌에 기록된 안 좋은 감정과 기억을 깨끗이 지우는 상상을 한다. 그리고 그 빈자리에 건강하고 희망적인 생각으로 채우면 된다." 

처음에는 잘 되지 않더라도 평소 뇌를 조율하는 습관을 만들어 가는 게 중요하다는 것이 첫걸음을 떼는 우선순위인 셈이었다. 일만 명의 사람이 자신의 인생을 존중하고 타인을 존중하는 인성을 회복하게 된다면 항상 꿈꿔왔던 행복한 세상도 그리 멀지는 않은 것만 같다는 확신. 김창환 변호사는 오늘도 그 일만 명을 위해, 한 사람 한 사람 최선을 다해 새로운 삶의 시작을 돕고 있다. 다소 거창해 보이는 꿈을 두려워하는 사람들에게 김창환 변호사의 작은 노력은 곧 누군가에게도 최선을 다할 수 있는 계기가 되지 않을까. 더욱이 그 누군가가 깊은 절망에서 헤어 나오지 못하는 이라면, 김창환 변호사의 이야기는 이미 계획되어 있을 회복에 앞선 아름다운 시작일 것이다.

Small effort for the expected happiness, hoping ten thousands of people could respect life

Thought of the end of life since she got hurt from her job and it was so deep emotionally. Fortunately, the case was closed in a good way but it was remained as an unforgettable damage and constant pain. At the end of frustration, she met a lawyer. And, she is now living as a speaker who is giving a love and concern that she got from him and it became her second life. Perhaps, she might have been able to dream much more than ever before. To her family, she is a brighter person. As for now, regarding her whole new life, he was a hope out of her frustration and the best choice as more as she thinks. 

Opportunity that made his mind change
Lawyer Kim Chang-Hwan of CHA Lawyer Kim Chang-Hwan NG law firm used to be a prosecutor for a long time. Since he was little, he was dreaming of realization of a just society and became a prosecutor. He mainly worked on cracking down gambling, drugs and gaming machine. However, he felt skeptical deeply at the end. So to speak, there is no other job like Korean prosecutors having too much work and he devoted himself to cut the crime down for 8 years. But, the society was against his scarification in a different way since the environmental condition was getting more cruel and worse, so he fell into pondering over a deep worry as a prosecutor. 

At his young age, he got diabetes, which means his stress that he had to break down was enormously unspeakable. Around that time, he started meditation of Dan World and then, he read a book, <Brain Wave Vibration> written by ILJI LEE SEUNG-HEON who was a university president of GLOBAL CYBER UNIVERSITY and kept a sentence, “the quality of information in brain determines a destiny”, in his mind. As the brain controls its body via memories, if the person saves wrong information a lot, she/he cannot have a healthy life mentally. It means people can live well when they can purify their negative memories and emotions. 

If it were going differently, could he make his current dream? 
Even if the expression was too much, that sentence must have changed his life. Afterwards, he didn’t do interrogate suspects about their guilty, but instead of it, he asked them how they had lived and wondered what information their brains remembered. During inquiring their childhood, he thought about himself what he would do if he was in their shoes. Frankly, he could not tell anything certain. Lawyer Kim became to think of that it was more important to recover human’s personality since then.

Besides, he found out suspects who never were respected by anyone in their childhood treated them bad thoughtlessly and they have lived as a weak person and a employee all life in society. Most of them felt they have a victim mentality. He thought over and over and made a big decision, eventually. When he reached a thought of the entire job is valuable so it has to be respected and then, job democracy could be realized and education democracy that recognizes each student’s value and good thing from the education system for the young students should be realized, he could quit his title that he took a responsibility for ages.

 
Way to live as ‘personality lawyer’
The human rights should be kept no matter what, but the true human rights could be started from each other’s respect, he thought. Lawyer Kim Chang-Hwan calls him ‘personality lawyer. And, with that new start, at the same time, he established ‘People Personality Recovery Movement Headquarters’ and became to begin to help his clients and people who he knows to respect themselves first. It is a very simple way to recover the personality.

It is that first of all, people believe their brains are already perfect and then they control their brains well. To make people understand the contents, he is talking about the way meditation (Brain Wave Vibration), which is very simple and easy. 
“Sitting with one’s legs half-crossed or crossed-legs, close eyes comfortably and shake the head from right to left slightly constantly with loose shoulders and neck. Consciously, doing that repeatedly and when getting a moment that it feels everything is calm, then trying to remove negative memories and emotions clearly as an imagination. And, you replace that empty place with healthy and hopeful thoughts instead.” 

It might be hard to make it in the early time but it is important to make it as a habit with controlling the brain normally. 
If ten thousands of people would get recovered their personalities that respect strangers’ lives as well, a happy world is not that far from it, which is what he believes. Even today, lawyer Kim Chang-Hwan is helping each person’s new start and life with his best for aiming for ten millions of people. To people who are afraid of big dreams, lawyer Kim Chang-Hwan’s small effort would be the great opportunity to anyone who will do the best like him.
