1577-1577 대리운전을 운영하는 코리아 드라이브는 올해로 13주년을 맞은, 명실상부 대리운전 업계 최고의 실적을 자랑하는 기업이다. ‘앞뒤가 똑같은 전화번호’ 라는 CM으로 유명한 코리아 드라이브는 대리운전 업계에서 처음 라디오 광고를 시작한 기업이기도 하다. 한글 인터넷 주소 ‘대리운전’을 통해 검색이 가능할 뿐 아니라 고객과 운행기사를 연결하는 최첨단 네트워크 시스템을 도입해 전국 권에서 언제나 안전한 서비스를 누릴 수 있다. 2014 한국능률협회 사회공헌대상 최우수상을 수상하기도 한 코리아 드라이브가 어떻게 이 자리에 올 수 있었는지, 그 비결을 코리아 드라이브의 김동근 대표를 만나 들어보았다.

대리운전을 넘어선 다양한 서비스

차량탁송, 일일기사, 법인회원 서비스 등 고객 편의에 앞장서 

일반적으로 대리운전을 이용하는 것은 늦게까지 회식이 이어져 직접 운전을 할 수 없을 때가 많기 때문에 대리운전 서비스라 하면 일반적인 대리운전만을 생각하는 경우가 많다. 그러나 코리아 드라이브가 제공하는 서비스는 대리운전만이 아니다. 수입차?중고차 등을 구매할 때, 해외 출장이나 여행 시 공항에서 집까지 차를 이동시켜야 할 때, 차량을 정비소에 보낼 때 등 다양한 고객의 사정까지 배려해 원하는 장소와 시간에 맞춰 차량을 이동해주는 차량 탁송 서비스 역시 코리아 드라이브가 자랑하는 고객 만족 서비스 중 하나다. 이 외에도 경력 있는 기사를 배정해 고객의 하루 일과를 책임지는 주간 일일기사 서비스와 골프장 운행 서비스, 법인 사업체 임직원을 위한 법인회원서비스도 있다.

스마트폰 어플리케이션을 통해 접수에서 결제, 배차까지 간편하게 해결할 수 있는 모바일 서비스 역시 코리아 드라이브의 강점이다. 모바일 어플에서는 GPS를 통해 고객의 위치와 도착지 사이의 직선거리와 그에 따른 결제 요금 등을 즉시 확인할 수 있어 ‘부르는 게 값’이라는 대리운전 업계의 병폐를 없애는 데에도 한 몫 하고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 도로 교통 상황에 따라 혹시 발생할지 모르는 과태료나 피해 보상 등의 시스템을 체계적으로 갖추고 빠른 처리를 약속한다.

수능 수험생 무료 수송차량 운영 등 사회공헌 열심

청소년 캠페인과 노인 복지 프로그램 등

코리아 드라이브는 체계화된 시스템으로 고객만족을 1순위에 둠과 동시에 다양한 사회공헌 활동과 행사 지원 등으로 사회 환원에 앞장서고 있는 기업으로 유명하기도 하다. 특히 인상적인 것은 청소년층에 대한 지원 활동이 많은 부분을 차지하고 있다는 점이다. 코리아 드라이브는 지난달 13일 치러졌던 대입수학능력시험 때 수험생을 위한 무료수송차량을 운영했다. 이는 재작년부터 시작해 올해까지 이어진 것으로, 도로 교통 상황이나 개인적인 이유로 수험장에 제 시간에 도착하지 못하는 수험생이 없도록 하는 취지에서 기획된 행사였다. 보통 많은 수험생들이 시험장에 늦게 되었을 경우 요금을 지불하는 택시를 이용하게 되어 불편을 겪는다는 것이었다. 코리아 드라이브는 이 날 차량 제공과 함께 손난로와 과자 등을 나누어주며 수험생들을 격려했다.

그 밖에도 코리아 드라이브는 김 대표의 뜻에 따라 ‘With WE’ 사회공헌 팀을 운영하며 다양한 형태의 캠페인 활동에도 매진하고 있다.  ‘영등포 경찰서 학교폭력 근절을 위한 희망 나눔 캠프 업무 협약’, ‘수서경찰서와 함께하는 청소년 범죄 예방 캠페인(반딧불 캠페인)’ 등에 참여했고, 중소기업청 주최로 중앙공무원교육원 신임사무관, 인천비즈니스고 학생 대상 기업 탐방 및 CEO 특강 등을 진행했다. 또한 작년에는 강동구에서 진행했던 ‘청소년 힐링 승마캠프’를 영등포구 소재 중학교 학생들을 대상으로 아이들의 정서적 교육에도 힘썼고, 최근에는  ‘청소년 해피 드럼 교실’을 매주 주최하고 있다. 특히 자살예방한국협회 표창장을 수상하기도 한 코리아 드라이브는 그 외에도 일반적인 사회 복지나 노인 복지를 위한 활동에도 열심이다. 지난 10월 28일에는 영등포 관악구 취업박람회에 참여하여 취업 전선에 뛰어든 수많은 인재들을 직접 만나보고 면접을 실시하였으며, 5월 어버이날을 맞아 어르신들을 위한 ‘제4회 사랑의 효도 영화제’를 열기도 했다.

안전교육과 직원 복지 등 일하기 좋은 회사를 위해 노력

코리아 드라이브의 기업문화 역시 본받을 만하다. 사내 안전 문화 확립을 위해 지난 6월 사내 소방교육을 실시했고 소방점검 및 소방훈련도 함께 진행하며 안전관리를 실천하는 기업이 되고 있다. 이 밖에도 ‘건강한 직장문화 만들기’라는 주제로 9월 직장 내 성희롱 예방 교육을 실시하여 인권보호와 성에 대한 올바른 가치관을 확립하는 데 공헌하고 있다. 방심하는 순간 소홀해지기 쉬운 안전 문제와 직장 내 성희롱 문제 등 가장 작은 곳에서부터 내실을 다져가고자 하는 노력이 돋보이는 부분이다. 또한 대리기사와 콜센터 상담 직원 등 직원 복지에서 소외되기 쉬운 계층에게까지 다가가려는 노력 역시 코리아 드라이브의 특징 중 하나다. 4대 보험?퇴직연금과 같은 기본적인 근로 조건은 물론이고, 우수한 대리기사 및 상담원에게는 인센티브를 제공하여 사기를 증진시키고 있으며, 부담되는 건강검진 비용을 자사에서 일정 부분을 지원해주고, 애경사비 또한  지원을 하고 있다. 이 밖에도 간식과 편안한 휴식공간이 있는 휴게실 제공, 코리아 드라이브가 자체적으로 운영하는 직원 콘도 이용 등 최고의 복지를 선사하여 일하기 좋은 회사로 거듭나고 있다. 그 뿐 아니라 직원들의 가장 큰 안식처가 되어주는 곳인 화장실을 더욱 더 편리하게 하나의 개인 공간으로 활용할 수 있도록, 파우더 룸을 추가하고, 전체적인 리모델링을 통해 화사한 분위기의 화장실을 제공하였다. 기사에게는 셔틀버스를 제공하여 근무간의 편의성을 주고, 다양한 고충을 해결 할 수 있도록 무료 법률상담을 진행하고 있으며, 상담원에게는 심야근무 시, 퇴근 귀가버스 제공 등 실질적으로 가장 필요로 하고 원하는 복지를 받을 수 있도록 노력하고 있다.

Providing a variety of services for customers and returning profits to society

Korea Drive(1577-1577) is Korea's top chauffeur service company whose business has been run for 13 years. Famous with their commercial message 'Same number back and forth(1577-1577)', Korea Drive is the one who started a radio commercial for the first time in the field. You can also find the company by typing in 'Dariunjeon' in the Korean language online. Korea Drive has a state of the art network system connecting the drivers with customers nationwide for a quick and safe chauffeur service. Korea's top bilingual magazine Power Korea has met the CEO of Korea Drive Donggun Kim who won the grand prize at The 2014 Korea Management Association Social Contribution Awards and heard about the secrets of his business.

A variety of services over just a chauffeur service

Leading the customer service from car consignment to day chauffeur and corporate member services 

People think chauffeur service is for people who had a party until late night but Korea Drive provides more than that. Their car consignment service is useful when buying an imported or used car, when moving from home to airport for an overseas business trip or travel, and when the car is in a repair store. In addition, they provide day service(being a chauffeur for a whole day), golf links shuttle service and the service for executives and staff members of a company. 

The booking, payment and car arrangement can be done by the Korea Drive app on smart phone. This mobile app enables customers to know the price beforehand as the app's GPS finds the position of the customer and calculate the distance and price automatically so that they pay the right amount without being over charged. They also have a system for fines and compensation in case accidents occurs on the road.

Devoted to social contribution including free chauffeur service for test-takers

Youth campaign and welfare programmes for elderly people 

Korea Drive is not only famous for providing excellent customer services but also for leading social contribution activities. They provided a free chauffeur service for text-takers of the College Scholastic Ability Test on 13 last month so that the examinees can enter the test site on time. Usually, those examinees who were in hurry due to traffic situation or personal reasons had to get a tax and paid the price in full but Korea Drive has been providing the service for free on the day of the examination since 2012. They also encouraged the examinees by giving out a hand-heater and some snacks.

Korea Drive is also running a social contribution team 'With We'. The team has participated in the 'Business Agreement of Hope Sharing Camp for Preventing School Violence' carried out by Yeongdeungpo Police Station, and 'Youth Crime Prevention Campaign(Fireflies Campaign)' carried out by Suseo Police Station. The team also held an enterprise tour and special lectures of CEOs for the students of Incheon Business High School, Youth Healing Horse-Riding Camp(hosted by Gangdong District) for the middle school students in Yeongdeungpo District, and Youth Happy Drum Class on a weekly basis.

Korea Drive has been presented an award certificate from Korea Association for Suicide Prevention and is carrying out various other social contribution activities for elderly people's welfare. They participated in Yeongdeungpo, Gwanak-gu Career Fair on 28 October and met many talented people and had interviews, and also held 'The 4th Film Festival for Parents' on the occasion of The Parents Day.

Making a good work place through safety training and staff welfare

Awarded '2014 Korea Management Association Social Contribution Awards' 

Korea Drive held a fire prevention training, fire inspection and fire drill to enhance the safety awareness of the staff in last June. They also held 'Making Healthy Work Place' last September to strengthen the conception of human rights and to prevent sexual harrassment in the work place. Regarding the welfare, they included all the staff from chauffeurs to call center operators to receive the benefit of the four major insurances(unemployment, accident compensation, national pension, health) and they also offer incentives for excellent employees, cash gifts as well as part of a physical check up cost. The office has a resting area and they provide snacks for their staff and also run a company condominium for the use of the staff. The toilets have all been remodeled and have a powder room to make a pleasant atmosphere. Shuttle buses are provided for the drivers and late night buses are also provided for those who work late at night. Not only this but they also provide a free legal counseling.

It is not surprising that Kim's effort is being recognized by all walks of life. Kim has been awarded '2014 Korea Management Association Social Contribution Awards' for two years in a row, chosen as a true modern intellectual from The 24th Korea Sinzisikin Association, received the minster's citation from Ministry of Employment and Labor, received a citation from Korea Association for Youth Service, received the directors prize from The 7th SB-CEO School of the Small and Medium Business Administration, and won the excellence award at Global Standard Management Award in Social Contribution. Kim said that he will do his best to strengthen the solidarity of the staff to provide excellent customer services based on the advanced work place culture. Power Korea is sure that Korea Drive will leap forward to the world.
