A : There are still many clients who have difficulty with marketing. The paradigm of marketing has rapidly changed in a few years. Now is the age that the people who can read the trend and to respond accordingly are likely to succeed. Marketing, for example, is a good example. Online marketing has become far more effective thant those existing mass marketings such as placards, flyers, bus, movies and commercials. Mobile search tool has shifted from W to M since 2013. In other words, consumers can get the necessary information on their hands and if a business cannot adopt quickly to the trend they can be ignored from the market.


Q : You are doing a lot of lectures. What is it about?

A : I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I used to live in a 10 square meter room as a beneficiary of basic livelihood, suffered from hemophilia, and people gave me a disapproving eye. Doctors told me that I could live until I reach 20 but no more than that. But I was eager to fight against all of these, went up to Seoul, and did everything I could possibly do such as shoe shining, newsboy, and courier to save money while often living as a homeless. And now, I have my own business and is leading 23 staff. Everybody has their own pain and burden. If one is passionate and has an appropriate judgement I think one can grow to be a talent the society wants. That is why I'm encouraging the middle and high school students to have dream and hope, and the companies to have passion and motivation for self-development.


Q : What is the new change and what's the vision?

A : Alongside what we do, we are promoting a new project. We are going to open an online shopping mall which sells agricultural products and local specialty. The purpose is to provide safe and healthy food for people. For this, I have been all over the nation to find competitive manufacturers and products to provide quality food at a reasonable price. We actually want to diversify our business by this but basically it is more like we provide safer and better food for consumers and profits for producers. You can expect that our Soneo Food Shopping Mall will lead a right local food culture.


Q : What is your management principle to run the shopping mall?

A : The principle is that I never sell the food which I think is not tasty at all. When we are hungry everything can be delicious and that is why I don't taste the food in such state. We only deal with the approved food which has HACCP mark  or eco-friendly products.


Q : Your challenging spirit is impressive. What are your next plan?

A : Soneo Food Shopping Mall aims to achieve $10 annual sales by 2016 by linking the business with our marketing strategies. My principle is not to care about myself but share everything together.

Microscopically, it is to grow together with the staff. Macroeconomically, it is to create jobs in the region. It is regretful that the talented young people only just go up to Seoul. I'd like to make this shopping mall where talented people work, where people hope to work for, and above all, where people can have a lot of fun.
