Introducing a new method for math education.

Making a truthful academy for students.


Geon Math, the principal Sang-geon Kim, praised for a trusted educational institution.

Kim has been famous for an academy lecturer in math for 15 years and recently opened Geon Math in Ilsan to deliver a specialized math education. As soon as it opened, the parents who knew about Kim's ability recommended students and a lot of them registered and the numbers are still increasing. The strong point of Geon Math is that it reduced the burden of private education fees while the education times increased. Usually, normal academies's lesson times per week are 4 hours but Kim doubled the time to 8 hours including lecture times and correction times. Because Kim understands very well about school parents' feeling, he reduced the private education fees and created a comfortable studying environment for the students. As a part of this effort, Kim made all the study materials by himself to provide free to the students. When he opened Geon Math, he decided to make an 'academy for students'.


When registering, Kim invites both the parents and their student(s) to check whether he/she really want to study, and advise them to keep the current studying atmosphere. Kim provides all his lectures in the video form so that those who are slow to catch up or who need reviews can watch them again. Not only this but Kim also checks each student's report card and offers systematic data, in cooperation with the optional course specialized consulting organizations, so that which department and university he/she might successfully get into. 


We also need to pay attention to Kim's 'Math Diary'. "What are the large, medium, and small units?", "What types of questions did you solve today?", "Are there questions which you didn't understand, give an answer, or made mistakes?", and "What are the concepts you have to learn repeatedly?". This helps students be reminded of what they have learned today so that they can check its concepts again. This is the result of Kim's careful consideration on how to get a good result and its effect was proved by the students' academic performance. He said "if you want to be good at math, try to think small one first and act afterwards. Solve easier questions first and them move on to more difficult ones. If you have a deep understanding of a question you can improve your math performance." Kim wants to make his academy for his students rather than for his profits. Knowledge is important but even more so is to develop students' personality and specialty is Kim's belief. Kim also asked school parents to be careful when they choose an academy for their sons and daughters.
