씨젠의료재단의 분자진단 One-day 검사는 국내 가장 많은 종류의 분자진단 검사에 대해 익일 결과보고를 실현하고 있으며, 전국 어디에서든 당일 검체 수거, 24시간 내 결과보고를 통한 신속한 환자의 처치 및 처방을 가능케 하며 분자진단검사 분야의 새로운 패러다임을 제시했다. 

국내.외 최고 수준의 검사품질로 승부하다.

씨젠의료재단은 고품질의 검사품질을 최우선으로 하고 있다. 최첨단 전산 시스템을 통해 365일 24시간 3,500여 곳의 병의원에 검사결과 Data Service를 제공하고 전국 어디서나 웹결과 조회가 가능하며, 특히 1,500여 곳의 병원시스템과 실시간으로 전산이 연동(OCS, EMR) 되도록 완벽한 전산시스템을 갖추고 있다. 

또한 1,500여 가지 이상의 검사항목에 대해 보다 정확하고 정밀하게 수행될 수 있도록 세계적인 기준에 따라 정도관리를 수행하고 검체 수거에서 검사결과 전달까지 전 과정의 표준화를 위해 ‘품질관리실’을 운영하고 있다. 

씨젠의료재단은 대한진단검사의학회가 인증하는 우수 검사실로서 미국 정도관리인증인 CAP 인증기관이며, 또한 ISO 인증을 통해 검체 접수부터 결과보고까지 모든 과정을 표준화하고 있다. 더불어 Global Standard의 검사 품질에 대한 우수한 기술력을 인정받아 국가에서 실시하는 엄격한 심사를 통해 정부의 국가정책 연구과제를 수주, 수행하는 국내 대표 검사전문기관으로 인정받은 바 있다.

세계 최고 수준의 분자진단전문검사 전문 Lab.을 목표로 하다 

씨젠의료재단 분자진단검사센터는 세균 및 바이러스 감염검사를 시행하는 분자미생물학팀, 유전질환 및 암유전자 검사를 시행하는 분자유전학팀, 산전 및 혈액종양 진단검사를 시행하는 세포유전학팀 이렇게 총 3개 전문팀으로 구성되어 있다. 

세계적 추세인 분자진단 검사의 대중화를 위하여 많은 투자와 노력을 통해 분석전문기관 중 최대 규모의 분자진단검사센터를 운영하고 있으며, 지난해 분자진단전문기업 (주)씨젠과의 기술협력으로 세계최고수준의 분자진단검사를 구현하고 있다. 씨젠의료재단 분자진단센터에서는 더욱 차별화된 결과서비스를 통해 최상의 분자진단결과를 제공하고 있으며. 국내 최고, 나아가 세계 제일의 분자진단검사센터로 성장해 나아갈 준비를 하고 있다. 

사회공헌활동에 앞장서다

씨젠의료재단은 국내외 소외계층 및 의료취약지역에 진료지원을 통한 지원 및 봉사활동에도 적극 참여하며 사회공헌기업으로서 행보를 이어가고 있다. 대한적십자사에서 주관하는 대국민 나눔 캠페인 참여 및 정기후원, 필리핀 태풍 피해 성금 전달 등의 다양한 사회공헌활동과 매년 2회 필리핀 6.25참전용사 가족 검진을 위한 의료봉사, 국내 독거노인, 외국인노동자, 노숙자를 위한 의료봉사, 굿피플 의사회에 매월 진단검사 등이 그것이다. 또한 지난해 대한산부인과학회를 지원하여 미얀마에 해외의료 봉사를 시행했고, 올해에는 동티모르 해외진료 중 진단검사를 지원했으며, 현재 대한결핵협회 내 ‘STOP TB운동본부’와 함께 몽골 결핵퇴치를 위해 해외 검사시설 및 인력지원을 추진 중에 있다. 

특히 임직원들의 자기 발전과 봉사정신 함양을 위해 해외 의료봉사 참여를 적극 지원하며 그들이 단순히 봉사활동의 범위를 넘어 건강하고 행복한 사회구현에 참여할 수 있도록 돕고 있는 씨젠의료재단은 진행하고 있는 진료지원서비스가 환자의 생명과 관계되는 분야로서 검사품질에 대한 중요성을 모든 임직원이 인식하고 모든 환자가 내 가족이라는 생각으로 업무할 수 있도록 하고 있다. 

글로벌 검사전문기관으로 거듭나다.

씨젠의료재단에서는 국제화 시대에 발맞춰 의료분야의 해외진출을 통해 국내의 우수한 기술력을 널리 알리고 의료분야의 발전을 위해 직원들에 대한 지속적인 외국어 교육을 실시하고 있다. 지난 2013년 5월 취임한 천종기 이사장은 직원들의 복지향상과 우리 재단의 하는 일에 대한 가치를 심어주어 행복하고 안전한 직장 만들기에 총력을 다해왔다. 직원들의 근무환경 개선과 교육기회 제공을 통해 임직원이 직업에 대한 자부심과 사명감을 가질 수 있도록 하였으며, 그 일환으로 전 임직원들을 대상으로 다양한 경험 및 업무적 활력을 위한 매년 상반기 및 하반기 각각 60명씩 해외연수를 시행하고 있다. 재단 천종기이사장은 향후 국내에서 부산경남검사센터 외 추가적으로 지역검사센터 설립, 확대 운영을 계획하고 있으며, 이와 더불어 해외에도 검사센터를 설립하여 국내는 물론 해외에도 진출하여 진단의학 및 연구 분야의 일익을 담당하여 궁극적으로는 의료발전에 기여하겠다고 밝혔다. 또한 품질경영, 정도경영, Global 인재육성을 목표로 정진하며 혁신과 도전을 통해 세계로 진출하는 글로벌 검사기관으로 거듭날 것이라 덧붙였다. 재단의 국제적인 기술력 및 서비스를 통해 국내뿐만 아니라 국내 진단검사분야의 해외로의 진출에 중추적인 역할을 할 씨젠의료재단의 행보에 귀추가 주목된다.

Seegene Medical Foundation aims for the life and health of humankind as the standard of value in life science. It has 500 staff including the top experts in various fields and provides laboratory medical testings including diagnostic medial check up, molecular diagnostic testing, and pathology examination. 

It is facilitated with the most advanced large automatic and physics & chemistry analysis equipments and they are working with medical institutions nationwide to contribute to the early diagnosis and treatment for patients. Since its foundation in 1990, they have been participating in the 'quality control programmes' both home and abroad to lay the groundwork for technical skills, and expanding their technical capacity and business territory through the partnership with the related organizations. Seegene Medical Foundation is proceeding 'Consignment Inspection Project' which provides various medical treatment support services such as diagnostic medical testing, molecular diagnostic testing, and pathology examination, and also 'National Policy Project' which provides research project application services for national organizations, universities, and company research centers. They were specified as a simultaneous multiple molecular diagnostic testing specialized institute last year through the partnership with Seegene. The foundation is expanding their technical skills and service capacities to all areas and they  introduced the One-Day Check Up system for the first time in the molecular diagnostic testing field in Korea to contribute to early diagnosis and treatment. The One-Day Check Up enables the 'next day result on hand', 'one the day clinical material pick up', and 'result in 24 hours' to provide faster handling and prescription for the patients. It actually suggested a new paradigm in the molecular diagnostic testing field.

Aiming for a world-class level molecular diagnostic testing lab

Seegene Medical Foundation established local labs to secure the safety of clinical materials and high quality diagnostic check up result, and it is contributing to the development of local medical services and creating jobs. They provide 24 hour and 365 day Data Service through their topnotch computerized system, and their Data BackUp System enables them to connect in real time network with their 30 branches nationwide and 1,000 other hospitals systems, and to check the result online everywhere. They operate QM(Quality Management) and CRM(Client Relationship Management) teams which carry out quality control in over 1,500 check up items according to the world standard. They were recognized as an excellent clinical laboratory by The Korean Society for Laboratory Medicine and they standardize every process from receiving clinical materials to reporting the result through the US CAP and ISO certifications. In addition, their excellent technology was acknowledged by Global Standard and have been approved as the Korea's representative medical testing institution which carry out national research projects.

Seegene Medical Foundation is running the largest molecular diagnostic check up center for the popularization of molecular diagnosis which is a global trend and is actualizing their specialty through the technical cooperation with Seegene which is specialized in the field. Their Diagnostic Pathology Check Up Center moved to another place in December 2013 and introduced the most advanced equipments, systems and manpower in order to leap into a global Diagnostic Pathology Reference Lab. They also opened Busan & Gyeongnam Check Up Center(director Taejun Yoon) in June 2014 to provide their same high quality services, and to create jobs, and to lay the groundwork for the development of medical industry in the region. 

Leading social contributions

Seegene Medical Foundation has been functioning as a social contribution enterprise and has been supporting medical treatments for a neglected class of people and areas. They participated and regularly supported in Citizens Sharing Campaign hosted by Korea National Red Cross, contributed money to those damaged by storms in the Philippines, provided medical services for the Filipino families, who participated in the Korean War, elderly living alone, foreign workers, and homeless, and monthly medical check up for Good People. Also they supported Korean Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology last year, carried out overseas medical services in Myanmar and East Timor, and currently is supporting 'Stop TB Movement Headquarters' of Korea National TB Association to subdue TB in Mongolia. They actively support their staff to do overseas medical services for self development and promoting service mind so that they care of all the patients as if they are their family members. In addition, they provide training for the staff to develop and spread their excellent medical technology to the world and promote the business overseas. Inaugurated in last May, the chief director Jongkee Chun is particularly pay attention to the staff's welfare. He has improved working environments, provided training opportunities so that they can have pride and a sense of duty, and is offering overseas training opportunities for experience and synergy. Chun said that he will expand the local labs and pioneer overseas market for medical development. He added that he will devote himself to quality management, proper management, and promoting global talent, and thus the foundation will be reborn as a global medical testing institution through innovations and challenges. 

There is much attention towards the course of Seegene Medical Foundation which will play a pivotal role to enter the oversea market over Korea through their technical skills and quality services.
