인천시 참여 화장품 공동브랜드‘어울’첫 인상 강렬

인천광역시(시장 유정복)과 인천지역 10개 화장품 회사가 공동 개발한 새로운 화장품 공동브랜드 「어울(oull)」이 인천에서 그 탄생을 알렸다. 시는 지난달 10월 27일 송도파크호텔에서 「인천광역시 참여 화장품 공동브랜드 어울(oull) 론칭」행사를 갖고 정식 출시를 시작했다고 밝혔다. 이날 론칭행사에는 유정복 시장을 비롯해 화장품 제조사, 관련 유통업계, 여행사 업계, 중국 수출 바이어 등 뷰티 관련자 200여 명이 참석했다. 이날 행사에서는 유정복 시장이 직접 「어울」브랜드를 소개하고, 전속모델인 배우 한채아가 홍보 및 시연을 펼쳤다. 아울러, 전문 카운슬러도 참석해 수출 상담도 진행했으며, 화장품 설명 및 피부테스트 체험행사도 함께 진행됐다. 실제로 국내외 유통전문가들이 어울 화장품을 직접 사용해 보고 심플하고 세련된 디자인과 우수한 품질에 매우 만족해 하는 것으로 알려졌다. 특히, 중국 하북성 한단시 부시장이 직접 참석해 민관이 함께 개발한 공동브랜드 화장품 「어울」에 깊은 인상을 받고, 어울 제품이 중국 하북성 한단시에 진출 할 경우 협조할 것을 약속했으며 향후 지속적인 교류관계를 이어나가겠다는 의사를 밝혔다. 민선 6기 인천광역시는 뷰티산업을 시의 8대 전략산업중 하나로 지정해 단·중·장기 뷰티산업의 집중 육성방안을 마련하고 있다. 유정복 시장은 “세계인이 사랑하는 어울로 성장할 수 있도록 최대한 지원하겠다”며, “인천 화장품 산업이 한 단계 더 도약하는 기틀이 되기를 희망한다”고 말했다. 시는 2012년 12월 중구 차이나타운에 전국 최초 지방자치단체 화장품 공동 판매숍 「휴띠끄」1호점을 개점한 이래, 올해 6월 중구 문화회관에 2호점, 7월에는 인천항 출국장에 3호점을 확대 개점했다. 뷰티산업은 투자 대비 고부가 가치 창출과 해외시장 진출 잠재력이 큰 산업으로서 시는 이번 「어울」출시에 따른 지역경제 활성화 및 일자리 창출에 큰 기대를 걸고 있다. 

국제기구와 함께 하는 인천국제도시포럼 개최

 ‘국제기구와 함께하는 인천국제도시포럼’이 지난달 10월 30일 송도컨벤시아에서 국제기구 관계자, 지방자치단체 국제부서 공무원, 대학생 및 관련기관 관계자 등 300여 명이 참석한 가운데 성황리에 개최됐다. 국제기구도시로서의 인천의 지속발전 가능성을 확인하고 지역사회와 국제기구의 공생방안을 모색하고자 마련된 이번 포럼은 인천광역시와 인천도시공사, 인천국제교류재단이 공동으로 주최했다. 유정복 시장은 환영사를 통해 “인천이 국내 최다의 UN기구 유치도시로서 앞으로 국내·외적인 주요 이슈에 대한 역할을 강화화고 국제기구 유치에 따른 가시적인 경제적 효과 창출에도 더욱 많은 노력을 기울여 나갈 것”이라고 강조하며, “국제기구에 대한 이해를 통해 지역사회와의 소통이 더욱 활발하게 진행되고 국제기구 유치의 진정한 의의와 가치를 시민들이 이해할 수 있게 되었으면 한다”고 말했다. 

이날 포럼에서는 각 분야 전문가들이 참가해 ‘국제기구, 국제도시를 향한 인천의 파트너’라는 중심 주제로 발표를 이어갔다. 변주영 시 국제협력관은 “이번 포럼에서는 인천지역 국제기구 설명회와 글로벌 대학 홍보데스크가 함께 운영돼 시민들로부터 큰 호응을 얻었으며, 국제도시를 지향하는 도시들과 지역사회와의 협력을 희망하는 국제기구들이 비전과 정책의 아이디어를 얻어갈 수 있는 좋은 기회가 되었다”며, “이번 포럼을 계기로 인천시는 국제기구가 본연의 기능 외에 인천의 국제기구도시로서의 위상 강화는 물론 시민이 체감할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램들을 함께 개발해 나갈 계획”이라고 말했다. 

The strong first impression of 'Auool'.

The cosmetic 'Auool', developed by Incheon city (mayor Geongbok Yoo) and the 10 regional cosmetic firms, recently announced its birth to the world. The city held a launching event on 27 October at Songdo Park Hotel and it was participated by 200 people including the mayor, cosmetic firms, related distribution companies, travel agencies, and export buyers to China. In the event, the mayor introduce the cosmetic and the exclusive model, actor Chaeah Han, carried out PR and demonstration. Special counselors' export consulting, cosmetic presentation, skin test experience also took place in the event. Those distribution specialists who have used the product praised its sophisticated design and excellent quality. The deputy mayor of Handan city, Habooksung from China, who participated in the event, was impressed by Auool and promised to cooperate when the products enter the city and also hoped to continue the sustainable relation of exchange. Incheon city appointed the beauty industry as one of their 8 strategic projects and is preparing short, mid and long term promotion plans. The mayor said "we give our utmost support for Auool to be a global brand. We hope to be the basis for the development of Incheon's cosmetic industry." The city opened their first joint store 'Huetique' in the China Town in Jung district in December 2012, the second store in Jung District Culture Center this June, and the third one in the departure lounge of Incheon harbor this July. Beauty industry has huge potential to enter the overseas market and to create value added compared to its investment scale, and the city is expecting Auool to contribute to the activation of the regional economy and creating jobs.

Incheon held Incheon International City Forum.

'Together with International Organizations; Incheon International City Forum' was held at Songdo Convensia on 30 October, participated by 300 people including the  related people from international organizations, public officers in the international department of local governments, university students and other related people. The forum was hosted by Incheon city, Incheon Development & Tourism Corporation, and Incheon International Exchange Group in order to check the city's sustainable development possibility and to find ways for coexistence between the regional societies and the international organizations. The mayor said in his welcoming speech "Incheon as the city that invites the UN organizations the most in Korea, we will do our best to reinforce our role on the main issues of both home and abroad and to create tangible economic effects in conformity with inviting the international organizations. We hope that the citizens will understand the value and the true meaning of inviting the international organizations in order to activate the communication between the regional societies and the organizations."

In the event, specialists from various fields represented under the subject of 'Incheon's Partners towards International Organizations, International City'. Juyoung Byeon, the head of the city's International Cooperation, said "the forum ran a briefing session for international organizations and the global university PR desk, and received big responses from the citizens. It was a good opportunity for the international organizations, who wish to cooperate with regional societies and the cities who want to be an international city, to gain ideas of visions and policies. On the occasion of this event, Incheon will develop various programmes which the citizen can perceive to raise the city's status as the city of the international organizations."
