Gyeonggi province contributed to Excellent Work Place Certification System and business development.

Gyeonggi province chooses excellent enterprises to give them various benefits through 'Excellent Work Place Certification System' and 65 companies applied in the second half of the year which shows enterprises' great interest in the system. According to the province, 40 more enterprises applied for the system this year(total 125) compared to 85 last year. The province analyzed this that the recognition of the system has been increased and they provided consumer-centered policies such as continuous PR and diversification of reception desk. The system was introduced by the Gyeonggi province for the first time in Korea in 2009. The system supports those enterprises who created jobs and pioneered welfare system for their employees despite their difficult conditions. The system provides various incentives for the enterprises in order to develop the businesses and to create jobs. Up to October 2014, 178 enterprises in total received the certification.

The candidates must be small and medium companies which run the business in the province at least for 3 years, and must hire more than 5 new employees a year with 10% of their employee's increasing rate. The chosen enterprises get a certification to use the signboard 'Excellent Work Place Enterprise' and get benefits from 'improving recruitment environment project support', 'applying for small and medium company promotion fund', and 'applying overseas marketing supporting projects'. They also get an exemption from local tax investigation for 3 years and are provided various incentives. Yeonhee Han, the head of Gyeonggi province's Work Place Policy Department, said "we will keep carrying out this system to give excellent enterprises, who create, keep and share works, practical benefits such as providing incentives so that we draw the attention from more enterprises to participate. For the convenience of application, we will simplify the application procedure."

Chukryongbaeklim, located at the foot of Chukryong and Seory Mountains on the border between Sang-myeon, Gapyeong county and Sudong-myeon, Namyangju city, is covering with autumnal maple leaves. Generally, the 20% of maple leaves being turned red from the mountain top to downwards is called 'the first maple' and the whole maple leaves being turned red is called 'the prime time' which is the period between last October to mid November.
