해외유명클럽에서 익힌 선진축구 경험 통해

파주 축구 발전 이끌 것

파주FC 조영증축구교실 서영훈 감독

축구를 통해 인성교육, 재능교육은 물론 꿈을 키워줄 수 있는 교육을 하고 있는 조영증축구교실의 서영훈 감독. 그는 파주 출신으로 어린 시절, 조영증 단장의 눈에 띄어 축구를 시작하며, 매동초-대신중고등학교-연세대학교를 거쳐 수원고 지도자 생활 및 파주시민구단 선수 생활을 한 축구인이다. 

현재는 조영증축구교실의 감독을 맡고 있는 그가 축구를 통해 아이들에게 전하고자 하는 메시지는 굉장히 강하다. 스스로 좋아하는 일을 하면서 만족하는 법이 그가 강조하는 첫 번 째고, 유명해지거나 부유해지기 위한 축구보다는 축구로서 자신을 깨닫고, 발전할 수 있다면 축구인으로서 성공한 것이라고 전한다. 

그의 철학이 확고하듯 조영증 축구교실은 지역 내에서 교육방법이 혹독하기로 소문이 나있다. 물론 취미반과 선수반(엘리트반)의 교육방법에 차이가 있을 수 있겠지만 인성과 재능을 가다듬는 것에 있어서는 서 감독 특유의 카리스마와 철학으로 아이들이 올바르게 클 수 있도록 지도하고 있다. 또한, 전국대회에서 10여 차례 우승했을 정도로 실력은 이미 인정을 받고 있으며, 졸업생들의 대부분이 프로 산하 축구팀이나 명문 중고등학교팀에서 선수활동을 이어가고 있다. 대표적으로 포항제철고등학교 1년 이승모 선수는 현재 U-16대표팀에 소집돼 비지땀을 흘리고 있다. 

올해로 창단 20년을 맞은 조영증축구교실은 2002년 월드컵 이후 유소년 축구꿈나무 육성에 많은 노력을 해왔다. 

영국의 맨유사커스쿨 및 브라질 상파울클럽, 일본 오사카 및 스페인 마드리드 연수를 통해 선진축구를 보고, 연구하며 익힌 서영훈 감독은 아이들이 세계무대로 나갈 수 있는 방법에 대해 고민하고 자신이 축구인으로 살아오며 쌓은 노하우를 아이들에게 직접 전수하고 있다. 

이를 통해 아이들이 즐겁고 유익하게 축구를 익히면서 실력까지 겸비할 수 있도록 하고 있는 것이다. 또한, 저학년은 취미로 축구를 익힐 수 있도록 시스템화 했고, 고학년은 선수로 진로를 잡아갈 수 있도록 시스템화 했다. 

더불어 올해 2월에는 중등부를 창단해 현재 초등생 120여명, 중등생 50여명이 파주스타디움에서 자신의 미래를 위해 땀을 흘리고 있다. 

이렇듯 유소년 축구분야 우수 지도자로 인정받고 있는 서영훈 감독의 또 다른 이력은 2011년 대한축구협회 우수지도자상, 2012년 유소년클럽 부문 최우수지도자상을 수상했다는 것이다. 이는 아이들의 눈높이에서 그들이 할 수 있는 범위를 정하고 최대한 그 안에서 아이들이 실력을 키워나갈 수 있도록 한 결과로 볼 수 있다. 

또한, 현재 조영증 축구교실에서 축구를 배우고 있는 아이들의 학부모들은 아이들을 위한 봉사단체를 만들어 임원을 선출하고, 1년 내내 아이들이 편히 훈련에 전념할 수 있도록 지원하고 있는 것도 타클럽과는 다른 점으로 꼽힌다.

앞으로 서 감독은 조영증 축구교실의 변화와 발전을 위해 팀의 확실한 색을 입힐 것이라고 전했다. 누가 보더라도 “이 팀의 색이 이렇구나”라는 것을 확실히 느끼게 함으로써 결속력을 키우고 그로 인해 단체운동인 축구의 진정한 의미를 깨닫게 하는 것이 목표라고 밝혔다.

또, 팀을 꾸준히 발전시켜 파주의 축구 활성화를 이끌고 성인팀까지 만들어 조영증 축구교실을 초등부부터 성인부까지 시스템화 하고 싶다는 뜻을 전했다.

Paju FC Youngjeong Cho Football Class, manager Younghoon Seo.

Fostering humanism and talent as well as nurturing children's dreams are what Seo, the manage of Youngjeong Cho Football Class, has been doing. Seo was born in Paju and picked up by Youngjeong Cho, the head of then football club, to start his career as a football player. Starting from Maedong elementary school, through Daeshin middle & high schools and Yonsei University to becoming a coach of Suwon high school, Seo has been a football player throughout his life. He is currently the manager of Paju FC Youngjeong Cho Football Class, and he wants to pass his passion in football to the children. He emphasized that one should be satisfied by doing the thing he wants to do, and the meaning of success as a football player comes from making oneself awake and developing it rather than pursuing fame and money. As his philosophy tells thus, his methods of teaching is well known for its harshness. Although the teaching methods can vary between hobby class and player class (elite class), the same rules are applied when it comes to cultivating one's personality and talent. His capability was proved by winning 10 times from National Elementary School Football Tournament, and most graduates continue their career at minor league football teams or prestigious middle & high school football teams. For instance, Seungmo Lee, a freshman of Pocheol high school, has been called up from U-16. 

Youngjeong Cho Football Class has been 20 years now after its first establishment, and since 2002 World Cup it has been contributing to promoting Korea's future football players. Seo studied at Manchester United Soccer Schools, Brazil Sao Paulo Football Club, and also in Osaka, Japan and Madrid, Spain. 

He is thinking about how the children can take the world stage and is passing his experience to them. Through this effort, Seo is providing the fun and benefit of football as well as its skills for the children. Seo also devised a system that the lower grades can enjoy football as a hobby and the upper grades practice football to progress to be professional players. In addition, he started to run middle school football class from last February and currently it has 50 members. The elementary school football class has 120 members.

Seo is recognized as an excellent football coach for children and has been awarded Excellent Coach Prize from Korea Football Association in 2011, and The Best Coach Prize from Korea Youth Football Association in 2012. This is the result of his coaching skills customized to the children's eye level so that they can grow in the scope of what they can actually do. Another benefit of the class is that the children's parents made a volunteer organization and they elected the board to support their children to concentrate on the training. Seo said that he will put a solid color into the team for change and development so that anybody can see the team's color clearly and this will give a bond to the team. To make them realize the true meaning of football through this bond is Seo's aim. He revealed his ambition that he wants to consistently develop the team to activate Paju's football and he wants to systematize Youngjeong Cho Football Class from elementary school football class to adult football class.
