국내 최초로 조성된 돔텐트 글램핑 ‘초롱산돔글램핑’

지난 몇 년 사이 급속도로 퍼지고 있는 캠핑 문화에 더해 글램핑이 또 다른 캠핑 트렌드로 떠오르고 있다. 글램핑은 '화려하다(glamorous)'와 '캠핑(camping)'을 조합한 신조어로 캠핑에 필요한 도구들이 갖춰진 곳에서 즐길 수 있는 캠핑을 뜻한다. 최근 고즈넉한 산책로와 럭셔리한 글램핑 시설, 체험 프로그램을 바탕으로 교감과 힐링의 소통공간으로 자리매김하고 있는 충남 홍성의 ‘초롱산돔글램핑’이 화제가 돼고 있다. 

자연과 함께하는 숲체험 힐링캠프 

초롱산돔글램핑은 국내 최초로 조성된 한국형 돔 글램핑으로 기존의 글램핑장과 다르게 돔 모양으로 된 50여 동의 돔텐트가 마련돼 있다. 초롱산돔글램핑 문석기 대표는 “우리 글램핑장에 설치된 돔텐트는 국내 자체 제작기술로 만들어져 더욱 신뢰할 만하다. 또한 수려한 자연경관을 갖춘 초롱산에 위치하고 있어 힐링을 필요로 하는 가족, 연인은 물론 기업연수 및 청소년연수, 캠프 프로그램으로 안성맞춤이다”라고 소개했다.

이곳은 화이트와 블루컬러의 이국적인 돔텐트 빌리지로 산토리니 마을을 연상케하는데 특히 자연과 함께하는 숲체험 힐링캠프로 더욱 유명하다. 초롱산 황토길을 따라 자연을 벗삼아   피톤치드 산림욕의 효과를 볼 수 있다는 문 대표의 설명이다. 또한 초롱산돔글램핑에서는 돔텐트 모형을 가지고 부모와 함께 조립하면서 아이큐와 집중력을 향상시키는 돔 모형 만들기 체험과 계절별, 시즌별로 버섯체험, 곤충체험(나비, 사슴벌레, 잠자리 잡기 등), 숲체험 등의 생태 체험 학습 프로그램, 그리고 염소, 토끼,고라니 오골계, 병아리가 부화하는 과정 알아보기 등 우리와 친숙한 동물들을 직접 만져볼 수 있는 동물 체험 등 아이들과 함께 할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 진행하고 있어 힐링뿐만 아니라 교육의 장으로서도 손색이 없다. 

지역경제 활성과 관광산업 발전에 이바지 하고파

글램핑이 하나의 여가문화 트렌드로 자리매김하며 지역경제 활성과 관광산업 발전에 상당 부분 기여하고 있지만 아직 기관과 지자체의 지원은 미흡한 편이다. 캠핑문화가 관광형태로 정착되기 위해서는 국가나 지방자치단체에서 활발히 추진하고 있는 캠핑장 조성사업 외에도 전문가와 지역주민들의 적극적인 참여 속에 지역경기 활성화에 도움을 줄 수 있는 고부가가치상품 개발이 필요하다. 이에 문 대표는 “기관이나 지자체의 규제에 막혀 어려운 부분이 존재한다. 긍정적인 시너지 효과를 낼 수 있게 좋은 방향으로 풀어갔으면 좋겠다”며 “초롱산돔글램핑에서 제공되고 있는 모든 채소와 고기는 지역 내에서 재배되는 유기농 채소와 홍성한우, 한돈을 이용하고 있다. 지역 재배농가와 임업, 육가공 업체와의 MOU를 통해 ‘홍성’이라는 브랜드 가치를 높이는데 일조하겠다”라고 말했다. 이어 “앞으로도 다양한 힐링·교육 프로그램을 꾸준히 만들어 초롱산돔글램핑이 국내 대표 힐링공간으로 자리매김 하도록 최선을 다할 것이다. 돔텐트의 특성상 태풍과 바람에 강하고 겨울에는 이글루로도 활용이 가능하기 때문에 문의가 빗발치고 있는데, 전국 각지의 체험장, 캠핑장에 대중적인 가격으로 공급함으로써 돔 글램핑의 대중화를 위해 노력하겠다. 나아가 한국형 돔 글램핑 생산 및 제조, 시공까지 중국으로 수출할 계획”이라며 당찬 포부를 밝혔다.

The country's first constructed dome tent 'Cholongsan Dome Glamping'

In addition to camping culture, which has been spreading rapidly for the past few years, glamping is rising as a new trend. Glamping is a combination of the words 'glamorous' and 'camping' and it means all the necessary equipments for camping are already prepared in the designated spot. Among those glamping providers 'Cholongsan Dome Glamping' in Heungsung, Chungnam Province, is the talk of the town. Forest experience healing camp in the nature

Cholongsan Dome Glamping is the county's first Korean style prepared dome glamping. People can experience Phytoncide forest therapy effect while they stroll through the red clay paths in Cholong Mountain. Cholongsan Dome Glamping is currently running various programmes such as assembling a model dome tent (which can improve children's ability of concentration), seasonal mushroom experience, insect experience (catching butterflies, stag beetles, dragonflies, etc.), forest experience, ecology experience, and watching the process of hatching (goats, rabbits, silky fowls and chicks). Moon wishes to contribute to regional economy and tourism

Glamping is securing its position as a trend of leisure culture and is contributing to boosting the regional economy and the tourism industry. However, the government and the municipalities' supports are insufficient. In order to establish camping culture as tourism, we need a camping site construction business which is being carried out by the government and the municipalities, and also a development of high value products which should be implemented by the participation from specialists and the local residents. Moon said "there are some difficulties due to the regulations from the government and the municipalities. I wish to solve these problems for the common good so that we can produce positive synergy effect. All the vegetables and meat we use are from local farmers and ranchers. We use organic vegetables, Hongsung Korean beef cattle and Korean pork. I will help to raise the brand power of 'Hongsung' by signing a MOU agreement with local farmhouses, forestry firms and meat processing enterprises. We will develop various healing and educational programmes and do our best to make Cholongsan Dome Glamping the best healing space. Dome tent is proof against damages from typhoons and wind, and can be used as an igloo in winter. Because of this I'm being flooded with inquiries. I will try to popularize dome glamping by supplying it to experience centers and camping sites across the country at a reasonable price." 

Moon has an ambition to produce and construct Korean style dome glamping to export to China.
