¡®A new sensibility of S5 becoming culture¡¯ with the Sejong Center.


Samsung Electronics on the evening of 11th last month had an opening event at Ddeurak plaza of the Sejong Center, Seoul, to release a media art image ¡®New sensibility of S5 becoming culture¡¯ with the Center. In commemorating the launch of ¡®Galaxy S5¡¯ the company cooperated with the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts to show a new form of artwork of projecting media art images made by famous authors on the outer wall of the building. This media art image using the whole outer wall face of the Sejong Center Chamber Hall has a larger significance in being the rendezvous between the innovative technology of ¡®Galaxy S5,¡¯ which awakens customers to a new sensibility, and meaningful space with live history and culture. The Sejong Center and Samsung Electronics make up a media art image of the story in which a simple gray-color city is born again into a live, cultural city by meeting a new sensitivity. Especially, it expresses the innovation of ¡®Galaxy S5¡¯ responding to the customer¡¯s sensibility with dynamic picture by a camera responding like our physical eyes, healthcare that reads our body and coaches exercise, modern glam design that enlivens sensibility, etc. It also reinterprets the work of three famous authors ? Hong Gyeong-taek, Hwang Joo-ri and Kim Yang-hee ? in connection to the chief functions of ¡°Galaxy S5.¡¯ Author Hwang Joo-ri commented, ¡°With my work reinterpreted in a new sensibility I enjoyed to my heart¡¯s content the freedom of its expanding to an immensely large wall face or entering a small smart phone. I hope the spectators will have a precious opportunity to open their eyes to a new artistic sensibility.¡± A person from Samsung Electronics said, ¡°We planned on this media art with the Sejong Center to provide an opportunity to enjoy artwork more vividly getting out of the limited space and familiar pattern of viewing. Samsung Electronics opens a ¡®Curved¡¯ age in the UK. 


With a curved UHD TV ahead, Samsung Electronics went out to attack the European TV market. The company on 9th last month opened an event of launching a 2014 model curved UHD TV at the Gherkin Building in London, UK, with the topic of ¡®the Age of the Curve.¡¯ In the first event of launching products in Europe this year participated over 100 media and industrial persons concerned from around the Europe not just from the UK. Also the event planned throughout to suit the image and design of Samsung curved TV possessed of the world¡¯s top curvature received a great response from attendees. At the event hall, the company installed ¡®Curved UHD Colosseum Showcase¡¯ to emphasize the innovative design of curved UHD TV. Curved UHD Colosseum Showcase was a composition of 7 65-inch curved UHD TV¡¯s connected in a curved surface to make the form of amphitheater, showing an overwhelming immersion of the curved TV effectively. Andy Griffith, president of Samsung Electronics¡¯ British operation, clarified ¡°I am happy to show a curved UHD TV of innovative design to British customers. The curved TV design will make an opportunity to change the paradigm of TV markets.¡±
