When spring comes, water in the ground begins to melt due to warmer temperatures, which creates empty spaces and causes cracks to form, causing various accidents. Foundation construction is being emphasized to prevent such accidents. In other words, experts point out that it is important to prevent problems in advance by making the foundation more solid.

 

The eco-friendly ASG method is more intense and economical than existing methods!

Insung ENC is a company, that engages in boring grouting, civil engineering, plastering, and waterproof masonry, and researches and develops safer and more economical foundation construction design and methods. Grouting is a method of filling cracks and improving strength by filling injectable materials into the ground or facilities that are at risk of collapse due to weakened durability. Grouting is often necessary for cracks or leaks in facilities installed underground, such as dams, tunnels, and subways. Insung ENC has recently developed a cutting-edge grouting method in the field of ground reinforcement and water-blocking grouting that has low initial viscosity and allows for good penetration injection, while also being stronger and more durable than existing methods. The eco-friendly ASG (Activated Silicate Grouting) method is a method that uses a permanent activated silicate chemical solution as an injection material for water blocking and ground reinforcement. It is a method that has greatly improved the performance of the injection material compared to the existing water glass chemical grouting. The initial viscosity of the injection material is low, so infiltration injection is advantageous for all soil and ground conditions. The strength increases over time, while durability is high, and it shows more than 70% higher strength and 10 times more water resistance than existing methods. Activated silicate chemical liquid has an excellent self-setting ability and has a pot life of less than 48 hours, so on-site manufacturing is inevitable. However, existing water glass chemical liquid injection devices can be used as is, so it can be applied to construction without the burden of additional equipment. Thanks to this, the performance of the injection material has been improved while the material cost can be reduced, so the construction cost is also more economical than the existing method.

 

There is no environmental pollution due to low alkali leaching and semi-permanent durability can be increased!

Leaching is a process in which inorganic substances in the soil are used downward by rainwater that reaches the soil. Alkaline leaching occurs when sodium silicate used in a chemical solution flows out into the soil and changes the chemical composition of the soil. In existing methods, there was no way to prevent this alkali leaching since the chemical solution used was water glass (sodium silicate). However, the ASG method has extremely low alkali leaching, only 1/5 of the existing method, making it possible to semi-permanently increase durability. In addition, it is easy to manufacture and has excellent constructability through an increase in strength of about 70%, which is also considered an advantage. The ASG method is free from environmental pollution as almost no alkali leaching occurs, and it is not affected by salinity such as seawater. In the heavy metal elution test results, mercury and hexavalent chromium were not detected, and the remaining heavy metals were also found to be much lower than the soil contamination concern level 1 area standard.

 

Technology certification from the Korea Soil and Basic Technology Society! Winning 2024 Korea Value Management Award!

The ASG method received technology certification from the Korea Soil and Basic Technology Society and won the 2024 Korea Green and Energy Award. Insung ENC has shown outstanding performance in hundreds of construction, civil engineering, and SOC sites based on its innovative patented construction methods and over 20 years of construction experience and know-how. The company is demonstrating differentiated technological capabilities by owning 5 sets of injection plants and 5 drilling machines. The company has grown 164% since 2020 and maintains expertise by operating three teams. It is accelerating its R&D research lab and practice room in 2024, while also paying attention to the construction of employee dormitories and welfare. Insung ENC is making donations to various places, including donating money to the community center in Doksan 1-dong, Geumcheon-gu in December last year. For these achievements, the company won the ‘eco-friendly design and construction’ category at the Korea Value Management Awards last March.
