Samsung sweeps 43 prizes at CES 2022

Samsung Electronics swept 43 prizes at the CES 2022. The U.S. Consumer Technology Association has announced prize winning products and technologies in 27 categories prior to the event. The South Korean electronics giant has made a strong presence with 21 prizes in image display, 7 in household appliances, 11 in mobile and 4 in semiconductor. The 7 image display prizes include 3 best innovation prizes and the 11 mobile prizes include 1. It is notable that Samsung has won the best image display prizes for 11 years in a row in TV, lifestyle TV platform and gaming monitors. Also notable is that its family hub fridge has won innovation prize for 7 years in a row for AI/IoT-driven smart home, entertainment, communication and food management contents and operation. Galaxy Z Flip 3 bespoke edition won the best innovation prize in the mobile category and Galaxy Book Pro 360, Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Buzz 2 and Smart Tag won the innovation prizes. 49 color and frame options are provided for Flip 3 bespoke owners to create their own Flip by mix and match. In the semiconductor category, PM1731a, PM1743, and HP1 won the innovation prizes. The CES 2022 is held Las Vegas 5 to 8 January next year. 

Samsung CEO Jeonghee Han is to give a keynote address at CES 2022

Samsung CEO Jeonghee Han is to give a keynote address at the CES 2022 under the theme ‘Age of Togetherness’. In his speech, he intends to promote Samsung’s multifaceted effort in creating a sustainable Earth and tackling climate change alongside the company’s innovative technologies that benefit humans. The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) CEO Gary Shapiro said that technology solved problems of the people and connected each other and he would expect to hear from Han how Samsung’s technologies could change the world.
