Studied a foreign language really hard in your school days, but not able to use it out in the society? You do all right in daily conversations, but weak in important business language? This is a common problem a lot of employees experience. More and more foreign companies are increasing and so is the number of oversea business trips. Nowadays you may meet foreigners anywhere at anytime. You can't always just share greetings or discuss the weather. Neither can you go to an English academy and study with young students, nor have enough time to attend one. It is Yale International Language Institute which concentrates its energy on visiting lectures and satisfying employee's needs.

Rational Thinking Based on A Variety of Experiences

The CEO Lim Seo Yeon of Yale International Language Institute, which is located in Jeongja-dong, Bundang-gu of Gyeonggi province worked in Toshiba for 5 years. If it weren't for her fluency in Japanese, she wouldn't have made it through. After getting married, she moved to London with her family and was able to improve her English naturally. British English was different from the one she had studied in her school days. A few years later, she studied Russian since she had to visit Russia frequently. While visiting all these countries and studying their languages a few thoughts came to her mind. 'Aren't there any ways I can study foreign languages more rationally? What kind of problems exist in out education law?'

While she was looking for a job which brings out the best of her, she decided to start her own education business. Looking at the fact that both Grace and her husband grew up in an educational family, it was no surprise. At first, she managed an English Academy but later the operating cost burdened her and that's when she came up with the idea of visiting lectures. 'Visiting employees who have little free time and providing them with customized English classes.' Employees were satisfied since they could save time and study in a comfortable atmosphere. Also, corporations and organizations welcomed her since the improvement of an employee's competitiveness is directly related to company sales. Grace says tha t"The strengths of visiting lectures is that the participation rate is high, saves at least over one hour, improves the effect of education through competition between employees and that managing academic affairs and analyzation is possible."

The Customized Education System In Order To Have Competitive Power for Globalization

Yale International Language Institute is trying its best to improve the language skills of their students steadily through a general management system. In her company, students are divided into groups depending on their ability and inside those groups one-on-one tutoring systems are used. Also, telephone education which prepares the students for real situations is accompanied which leads to both customized and standardized education. Teachers hand in teaching reports to Grace so that revising is possible.

Since corporations and government organizations requires not only English, but also the following languages: Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, Thai, Vietnamese and even Hindi in order to be equipped with the competitive power in the global market, Yale International Language Institute is prepared with teachers for all the languages.

Over twenty native speakers and overseas Koreans offer both translation and interpretation and even deliver lectures including their culture. This is one of the reasons why Yale International Language Institute received an enthusiastic response from corporations managing international business.

Yale International Language Institute was founded in 2004, in Jeongja-dong where it is located right now, and started lectures in Bundang, Southern areas of Gyeonggi Province, and Gangnam. Later in 2010, an Incheon department was opened and now is in charge of the language education of the Incheon Free Trade Zone and Southeast industrial complex. CEO Lim is also volunteering as a member of the advisory committee at a multi-cultural center. There are a lot of things she wants to accomplish this year. During the first half of the year, she is planning to open a charged suicide prevention site. Also she is working hard to receive a patent for her 'English Calender' content, devising an App service for smart phones and even writing her own essay.

All-rounder woman CEO, Ambitious Working-mom

Grace is a mom before being a CEO. She always tries to find time to write her on essay. The book called <Big hug, please (Hold Me Tight In Your Arms, Mom)> will be published this October. This book contains notes she wrote while raising her two children. As a mother with adolescent children, she wrote about how important it is to give hugs to children and be intimate with them. "Words and actions showing that my children mean a lot in both our family and society is what I can give to my children. Those children need big hugs. That's how they grow." CEO Lim's principle in education is 'Keep Going' - meaning learning a foreign language should be a long and continuous project just they way growing children study. And so is Yale International Language Institute - continuously developing every single day.
