The Republic of Korea is the 13th largest economy in the world. As such, national consciousness is also rising by the day and businesses to make life more comfortable and those related to culture and welfare are growing. Local governments are competing to devise regional development and are busy creating more pleasant and beautiful cities. Bethel Commerce developed in line with these developments an automatic system to hoist and lower national flags by controlling with a computer creating a major innovation for the urban environment.  The innovative product created by a small but strong company, Bethel Commerce and its Representative Gwang-seok Ahn, is evolving once again our life.

Maximized ease of hoisting a flag

On national holidays, the Republic of Korea is filled with its national flag. But on the other side, the day before the holiday, we witness the danger of trucks parked and moving on roads to insert flags into the flagpoles attached to street lights. The danger of accidents to the vehicles and manpower working to hoist the national flags nationwide has surpassed the dismissable level.

As such, Ahn has developed a computer control program to automatically hoist and lower flags by attaching a device on the street lights. In addition, he also developed a reservation system of inputting the holidays in advance into the program so that the flags automatically come down without a person directly controlling with a computer.

This has cleaned up the environment from the past bending of flagpoles and dirtying of flags. It has also reduced the CO2 emission from vehicle driving and wasting of manpower. It has enabled handling well the national flag as a symbol of the Republic of Korea. Furthermore, the flag hoisting device has the advantage of being usable semi-permanently and may also be used for regional and election publicity banners, which is noteworthy. Thjs product won at a Korean design symbol contest and has drawn the attention of the country. Many local governments have currently expressed interest in using it.

Drawn attention again with its road lighting device

Road lighting devices installed on central parting lines, bridge handrails and line sections are products operating on their own electricity from wind power energy and solar energy generated when vehicles pass by.

As you can see on the photo, the product is composed of an LED lamp to distinguish road lines and lighting to light up the roads. It provides information on whether accidents have occurred in front, road congestion and meteorological factors. If this product existed when we had the 100-vehicles crash because of fog, it would have allowed drivers to learn in advance about the initial crash and prevent such a large-scale accident because it is installed every 300 meters. This product provides information on roads and weather with a yellow LED lamp at ordinary times and an alarm lamp and red letters inform of dangers if a crash has occurred or if there is fog. This product is currently being applied for a global patent and businesses who fell for the automatic flag hoisting and lowering system are showing much interest in the road lighting device as well as an innovative product.

Lee is currently seeking interested investors in order to complete the two products with more improvements and supply them.
