TV나 영화 혹은 옛이야기에 종종 등장하는 전통무예인은 바람과도 같으며 깊은 산 속에서 심신수양에 전력하는 신선의 모습을 떠올리게 된다. 이러한 전통무예는 나라를 지키고 민족을 단합시킨 호국정신과 민족정기가 깃든 전통문화임에도, 대중적 스포츠문화에 가려져 아무런 지원과 관심 없이 방치되어 있다. 이에 우리의 전통무예를 보존하고 계승하여 우리의 문화유산 발전을 이어가고 있는 전통 무예  창시자 뫄한뭐루의 하정효 이사장이 한국전통의 바람을 불러일으키고 있다.

맨발의 고행과 순례를 통해 탄생                 

(재)세계총령무술진흥회 하정효 이사장은 “나를 떠나 누리로 돌아가는 겨레의 살길”이란 뜻을 담고 있는 전통성과 효율성을 두루 갖춘 뫄한뭐루를 창시해 민족정신문화 창달과 전통무술 대중화에 앞장 서 왔다. 뫄한뭐루는 하 이사장의 믿음과 끈기, 열정으로 오랜 시간을 거쳐 탄생한 순수한 우리 민족의 무술이다. 하 이사장이 1957년 모친상을 당해 그 무덤 앞에서 “이 땅을 어머니가 주무시는 방으로 믿겠다” 고 다짐한 후로 10년간의 맨발고행과 강산순례 과정을 거친 후 충무공 별세 369주기 기일을 맞아 경남 통영에서 선포한 세계정무 뫄한뭐루는 비로소 모습을 드러냈다. 듣기에나 읽기엔 다소 생소할 수 있는 이름을 가진 무예 뫄한뭐루는 경상도 말로 ‘뫄’는 마음과 몸의 해탈을 뜻하고, ‘한’은 하늘과 생명과 세계가 하나라는 고유사상이며, ‘뭐루’는 마루얼 즉 종가(宗家)정신을 일컫는다. 즉, 무예를 통해 민족의 얼을 함양하고 몸과 마음의 해방에 도달한다는 목적을 담고 있다. 

한국전통의 맥을 잇는 입체무술

뫄한뭐루는 8192돌굼(품새)으로 구성되어 있으며 한반도를 중심으로 하여 동북(삭제)쪽방향으로 햇녘돌굼, 서쪽으로 달녘돌굼, 남쪽으로 물녘돌굼, 북쪽으로 뭍녘돌굼, 사방사이의 간방돌굼등 8방향에 기본돌굼이 있고 방향마다 1천24개의 동작이 입체적으로 전개되는 무술이다. 특히 맨손으로 익히기만 하면, 봉술, 검술 등 병기무술에 적용되고, 동작을 작게 하면 관절을 꺾는 호신술로, 크게 쓰면 다수상대를 제압하는 입체무술로 변하는 다양한 응용이 가능한 무술이다. 또한 공격과 방어의 구별이 없고, 고정중심이 아닌 이동중심으로 공방을 자유로 구사하고 있어, 상대의 예측을 불허하는 전투무술 본연의 특성을 지니고 있다. 특별한 점은 도덕적 생활을 중시하는데다 특유의 건강수련법(호절명呼節命-숨매날)이 따로 있어 병자는 물론 가족단위의 수련생이 많다는 점이다.  이처럼 재미와 건강, 전통무예의 기를 동시에 전해주는 뫄한뭐루는 현재 서울 종로 소재 총무관을 중심으로 전국 마루터(연무장)와 한반도의 각 명산에 38개의 입산수련단지를 갖추고 있으며 대학 동아리활동과 해외에도 많은 사범진을 두고 있다. 

민족정신 문화 계승과 전통 무술 보급에 앞장

세계총령무술진흥회는 물론 세계정교 유지재단 창설 이사장이기도 한 하 이사장은 2018년 동계 올림픽 개최 확정지인 평창에서 제1회 세계 ��얼뫼 네 발길 대회를 개최하며 건강에 좋은 전신운동 ‘네발걷기’의 우수성을 널리 알린바 있다. 하 이사장은 전통문화의 계승과 창제에 새로운 변화를 위해 네 가지 자연현상(구름, 물살, 수풀, 바람)을 천강, 세행, 전승, 승천의 4대 성음으로 구성한 전통 국악 ‘망�硫恬�’, 국민무용인 ‘손베추춤’ 및 국방무술 ‘군무’를 창시하기도 했다. 또한 훈민정음 중심의 한글 세계화를 위한 4대 기본과목(정교·정학·정무·정사)을 창시하였고 한글경전 ‘�倫故��d’과 한중경전 ‘준쨩광찡’을 만드는 등 일반인들에게 생소한 과목을 창제하여 관심과 이목을 집중 받아왔다. 이러한 하 이사장에 대한 명성은 국내뿐 아니라 해외에서도 자자하다. 세계인명사전 등재, 영국 인물정보센터 IBC, 미국 위인전기센터 ABI 등 세계 100대 위인에도 소개된바 있으며, 세계정교 유지재단 창설 이사장, 세계총령무술진흥회 이사장, 미국 국제문화협의회 사무총장 등으로 이름을 떨쳐 국제평화상을 수상했다. 민족정신 문화 계승과 전통 무술 보급에 앞장서고 있는 하정효 이사장은 무예와 국악 및 한글을 통해 한국의 전통을 세계에 알리는 한민족 문화선구자로서 한국의 위상을 드높이고 있다.

Traditional Martial Art masters often showing up on TV, movie, or tales are like wind that makes imagine hardly practicing mental and physical discipline. Even though such tradition martial art is referred to as tradition culture used to save country and unite whole nation, it has being neglected without any support and attention due to the professional sports cultures. Consequently, the Chairman Ha Jeong Hyo, known as a tradition martial art creator and originator of Mwahnmeour and developing our cultural heritage as saving and taking our tradition martial art over, has been raising the Korea tradition wave.          

Created through Asceticism & Pilgrimage 

Ha Jeong Hyo, the Chairman at the (Foundation) International Head Quarter of Martial Art Promotion Association, created the Mwahnmeour, containing tradition & utility and meaning “Returning to a compatriot living path as detaching my-self” as taking a stand on the first line in an attempt to promote nation spirit cultures and popularize traditional martial arts. The Mwahnmeour is our nation’s pure martial art created by the Chairman Ha’s long-time-consuming trust, perseverance, and passion. Ever since the chairman Ha made a commitment; “I will believe this nation as holy land where my mother can take a rest in peace” when his mother passed away in 1957, the Mwahnmeour, an international formal martial art, proclaimed in Gyeongnam Tongyeong on the 369th Memorial Day of Yi Sun-Shin, the most famous Navy General in Korea history, has eventually been emerged into public that was a precious outcome from conducting barefoot asceticism and whole nation pilgrimage of him for 10 years. The Mwahnmeour sounding unfamiliar and looking hard to read has been originated from the ‘Mwa,’ initiated from Gyeongsang-do, a province in Korea. The ‘Mwa’ means deliverance of soul and body. The ‘Han’ means a Korea unique idea. The ‘Meour’ means ‘Marueol. So to speak, it means a sort of main branch spirit of Korea. To sum up, its purpose is to cultivate our nation’s spirit and help body & soul accomplish a beautiful detachment as practicing.

Three-Dimensional Martial Art Taking the Korea Traditional Spirit Over

The Mwahnmeour consists of 8192 Katas. As imagining practicing from the center area of Korea territory, it moves toward northeast as forming the ‘Sun Dolgum,’ west as forming the ‘Moon Dolgum,’ south as forming the ‘Water Dolgum,’ and north as forming the ‘Landward Dolgum,’ and it additionally forms the ‘Ganbang Dolgum.’ Also, it contains ‘Basic Dolgum’ on the 8 directions. Further, on the each direction, 1024 movements are deployed. In particular, if practiced with bare hands, it not only is applied to weapon martial arts such as long pole and Kendo but also used as joint-breaking-self-defense skills. If used widely, it forms a diverse-applied-three-dimensional-martial art used in defeating multiple enemies. Moreover, it attacks and defends at once. Because it sustains on moving balance unlike fixed balance, it possesses an unpredictability used not to let opponents anticipate the next movements. When it comes to public’s reaction to it, a number of apprentices keeps coming up to learn it because it emphasizes moral life and possesses the ‘Health Practice Method, called the ‘Hojeolmyeong-Summaenal,’ making not only patients but also family-member-apprentice come to learn. Taking a Stand on the First Line in Taking Nation Spirit Culture & Tradition Martial Art Over

Ha, the Chairman not only at the International Head Quarter of Martial Art Promotion Association but also at the International Orthodoxy Maintenance Foundation, held the ‘Moteolmoe,’ a kind of walking practice by using hands and feet, in Pyeongchang where 2018 Winter Olympics will be held that was for promoting the healthy hands & feet walking, also called ‘Four Feet Walking.’ In an attempt to successfully take tradition cultures over and create new alterations, the chairman Ha created the Korea tradition music called ‘Mangkyem Sound,’ ‘Sonbaechu Dance,’ a national dance, and ‘Goonmoo,’ a military dance that are formed with four vocal voices including ‘Cheongang,’ ‘Sehaeng,’ ‘Jeonseung,’ and ‘Seungcheon’ made by using the four nature phenomenon (cloud, water wave, water bush, wind). Furthermore, for making Korean language international that should arise from ‘Hunminjeongeum,’ a sort of Korean Alphabet, he created four basic classes including Jeonggyo, Jeonghak, Jeongmu, Jeongsa and Korean scriptures including ‘Gyemcholbitgwirs,’ ‘Korean-Chinese scriptures,’ and ‘Junjjyanggwangjjing,’ resulting in making people positively pay attention. As the above profits, the Chairman Ha receives honorable reputations from overseas. His name has been introduced to the world, such as in a world biographical dictionary, England Person Information Center (IBC), the United States’ biography center (ABI), and the world’s top 100 great men. He is also an establishment director of the World Right Religion Maintain Foundation, the chairman at the World Head Quarter of Martial Art Promotion Association, and the secretary-general at the United States International Culture Conference, resulting in making him awarded with the International Peace Prize. As a forerunner leading the Korean culture to the world, standing on the first line for taking nation spirit culture over, and introducing traditional martial art, the Chairman Ha Jeong Hyo makes Korea proud through martial art, Korea traditional music, and Korean Language.
