인천국제공항 복합문화공간 교통센터 오픈 기념으로 열린 이날 행사에서 인천공항 명예홍보대사 김연아 선수는 다문화 가정 어린이들을 대상으로 사인회를 열고 후원금을 전달했다. 다문화 가정 어린이 30여명은 일일 스케이트 강습을 받고 김연아 선수와 기념촬영을 하는 기회를 가졌다. 1천만원이 전달된 후원금은 어린이재단 연수종합사회복지관 다문화 가정 지원 사업에 사용될 예정이다. 어린이재단 연수종합사회복지관 강병권 관장은 이날 “피겨요정 김연아 선수가 전해준 소중한 후원금은 아직까지도 우리 사회에서 차별 받는 다문화 가정 지원에 사용될 예정이다. 다문화 가정 아이들이 이번 겨울을 따뜻하고 행복하게 보낼 수 있도록 지원해준 김연아 선수에게 감사의 뜻을 전한다.”고 말했다.
