Floating solar power plants throughout the country

BSTECH is a company that has successfully constructed numerous solar power plants based on over 20 years of experience and technology. The company is especially making great efforts to distribute floating solar power plants throughout the country. In 2022, the company successfully completed the electrical work for 20 MW out of a total of 41 MW in the Hapcheon Dam floating solar power plant project, which was the first in Korea to install floating solar power in a dam. The company was in charge of the electrical work for Hanyang and Hanwha Q CELLS’ ‘2nd Goheung Bay Floating Solar Power Plant Project’ and constructed electrical equipment and installation equivalent to 28MW.

The company carried out electrical construction for Goheung Bay floating solar power plant (28MW) and Taeanan-myeondo floating solar power plant (20MW) in 2023, and is currently constructing the Seosan Daeho Lake Solar Power Plant (28MW). BSTECH has developed a buoyancy body that is a key component of floating solar power plants and can firmly secure floating solar power plants. This is a non-toxic, eco-friendly product in which no environmental hormones are detected, and it is a new product that breaks away from the limitations of the existing simple injection-type buoyancy body by choosing the BLOW method, which did not exist before. The company recently completed the development of a second-generation product that is more stable and durable than existing products.

Agricultural solar power plant

The company recently moved its factory to Gyeongsan City and is also engaged in outdoor parking and BIPV business. In particular, the company’s agricultural solar power plant is superior to existing construction methods in terms of construction period and cost, because it lays it on the ground and completes everything from solar modules to electrical work and then erects pillars at the same time. The company recently constructed a 60 kW agricultural solar power plant at Nonghyup in Yangpyeong-gun, and plans to install an approximately 11 megawatt solar power plant at a foreign logistics warehouse.

EVDay

BSTECH introduced its self-developed electric vehicle charger EVDay at the 21st International Green Energy Expo & Conference held recently. The company used Huawei’s globally recognized power modules, and all software, including firmware, and PCB designs were produced using purely domestic technology. Currently, EVDay has a 200kW double-arm/single-arm type and a 100kW double-arm/single-arm type, and the company plans to release a 40kW mid-fast charger product in the second half of this year. “Our goal is to develop a system that connects all units, including renewable energy, ESS, and electric vehicle chargers, and to play a leading role in the market” said CEO Hankil Choi.
