Lottery Commission Corps and Hart Heart Orchestra hold concert for people with disabilities
The Lottery Committee of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance invited people with disabilities to a performance on Thursday, April 27th.
As a volunteer group, it has been practicing sharing for 16 years since 2008. The disabled people invited were those who belonged to Bear Better, Chungbuk Rehabilitation Center Maria's House, and Dream Plus Support Center, and they had built a relationship with Vice Minister Choi Sang-dae last year.
Following 2021 and 2022, Deputy Minister Choi presented commission certificates to actor Kim So-yeon, who will serve as lottery ambassador and head of the Happy Empathy Volunteer Group, and the 16th president of the Happiness Sympathy Volunteer Group.
The concert was hosted by the Heart Heart Orchestra, composed of 35 adults with developmental disabilities.
Choi said, "Seeing the passionate performances of disabled performers, I hope that the perception of people with disabilities will change and the barriers of prejudice will be broken."
The Lottery Commission's Happiness Empathy Volunteer Group plans to find neighbors in need in our society and continue to practice the spirit of sharing.
