2022 Boom Up Korea

KOTRA held the ‘2022 Boom Up Korea’ with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on December 1 and 2 at COEX in Seoul. This event is the largest offline export consultation held in Korea since the pandemic, and 1,301 domestic companies and 300 companies around the world engaged in about 1,500 meetings in the fields of materials, parts, equipment, nuclear power plants, ICT services, consumer goods and bio. Major buyers visiting Korea include Bosch in Germany, ARCELIK, Turkey’s No. 1 consumer electronics company, ZARMEN in Poland, which hopes to cooperate in the nuclear power plant field, and FPT Software, an affiliate of FPT, Vietnam’s largest ICT group. As side events, the ‘Nuclear Power Plant Equipment Purchase Policy Seminar’ and the ‘Denmark Offshore Wind Power Purchase Policy and R&D Cooperation Seminar’ were held. 12 innovative companies in the convergence industry participated in this event, and a remote medical consultation camera, augmented reality educational content technology showcase hall, and export support booth were operated. 

 

2022 University Students Conference for Using FTA

KOTRA and Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held the 2022 University Students Conference for Using FTA on 26 November. About 100 people, including professors and college students from 15 out of 19 universities, participated in the event, and a job fair was also held alongside. This event, which celebrated its 5th anniversary, recruited works on the themes of FTA policy, research, and utilization business models. Out of a total of 68 FTA application works, 4 works that passed the first screening received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award, 6 works received the KOTRA President’s Award, and 8 works received the KOTRA Academy Director’s Award. Two outstanding professors received the Minister Award.
